Hi everyone, I got the game on steam a couple of months back but when I try to launch it on the evrima beta tab, I get stuck in a loop. Steam says it's unable to sync the files and that if I click continue I will lose the progress (or something like that) and if I click ok I just get a popup for the anticheat system, a short loading screen and then I get the steam message again. Don't know if this has been addressed here before but any help with this is much appreciated!

It's a known bug at the moment ):
Usually you can also fix it over Swimming a tiny bit, or falling a bit.
It basically locks you in an animation, so doing an action that "resets" that animation fixes it.

hi, never had this issue before, and I played this game with some people already,
and the issue is:
Just bought my friend this game as a gift, wanted to show them the game, etc.
But instead of playing together we spent last 2 hours trying to connect their game on any official server (unofficial ones don't have many players atm).
And the issue is: they can't connect to any official servers, they managed to connect to some unofficial ones just to check if they can connect to anything.
But they can't connect to any official ones.
Every time it's just loading screen (either Apollo Engineering loop or that clip with dinos) and after two minutes game brings them back to main screen and pops that timeout message.
We checked their firewall settings, TI has permission to both types of networks.
We tried and gave exclusion to game directive in the firewall - didn't help.
They uninstalled and installed the game again - didn't help as well.
Could be that they installed EVRIMA right away without legacy first?
(I think it shouldn't be the issue, but worth asking anyway XD)

I was trying to find if someone had similiar issue, but didn't found anything either here on Steam, official discord, or just google, or found solutions that we already tried or were for people that are hosting their own servers.

Anyone had similiar issue or know what else we can try to check?

Official Server Admin deal with issues on the official servers and discord operations. It is better to tag Tech Support. However, this should fix your issue

For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Go to the game folder. Right click game in steam, properties, local files, browse.
Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.
Run the game, now it installs EasyAntiCheat for you.

Not a silly question, all good. Just search windows defender firewall in your search bar. The click add an app or feature on the left hand side. Look for the Isle. Click the box next to it as checking it allows access. You can also check the boxes to the right of the name labeled “Private” or “Public” to allow and disallow the app on private or public networks respectively.

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

the (0x2200 Error) usually means that something in the Background is running which EAC doesn't like.
if those fixes from above don't change anything, then it could be worth a try to see what else you have running in the Background.
As examples, EAC sometimes has something against Wallpaper Engine or Origin, so maybe Programs like that could be the cause behind it

The Queue exists "again", it broke with 5.0 and was recently re-added, but it's buggy at the moment ):
So it's normal that you don't get a Queue most of the time, you have to be really lucky.

The reason why you can't join servers that show for example 90/100 is that sadly, that too broke with 5.0 >.<
Currently the servers display the wrong number of people on it when too many people try to join.

I assume you're playing either Utah or Ptera.
These species get penalized for being Cannibals, so if you eat the meat of others of your species you get sick.
That sickness currently includes some minor debuffs like infertility but also random attacking.

Try deleting your isle local folder. This will delete custom settings and skins but there is a file you can save that will keep the skins called Saved. Drag the saved folder to the desktop, the delete TheIsle in the Local AppData folder. Restart the game and see that fixes it.
You can put your skins back by deleted the new Saved folder and replacing it with the one on your desktop

Just curious, is lag spikes a standard problem around large groups? I usually run around on my own or with a friend, no problem. However, last week, me and my friend joined a full pack of Utahs (8 players), got involved in pitched battles with carnos on lemon plains and I kept experiencing massive FPS drops.. it went down to (and kept going back and forth) between 5 and 10 FPS. Camera movement was so choppy, I couldn't participate in the battles because it was so laggy. Now, I did stream while this was ongoing, which I suspect does affect data transfer somewhat, but I had never before experienced anything like that.

It is also interesting that you mention map tiles, because I noticed that there was almost like a border at one geographic location where FPS started to be affected significantly. Don't know if that is a static place where problems occur more frequently, but yeah, just thought I'd mention it. ^^

has anyone else come across this issue. It only happens in this game no others no problems doing anything else on my computer before anyone asks. When I start up the game for some reason my mouse is off. i can see my cursor but cant click on anything with it but if i move the mouse to the right the menu buttons light up as if my cursor is on them. i can not change any settings in the game because i cant click the apply button in the menu because my cursor has to be to the right and down so far to click on anything. You might want to make a copy of it though, just in case. Though it shouldn't matter

It's default path should be in "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS",

• Go there and delete the .sys file
• Then, go to your games folder and delete the EAC folder
• Verify your game files over steam
• Unintall and install Easy-Anti-Cheat over their .bat files again (Feel free to ask if you don't know how)

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

So if a carno rams you while you're spawning, you're completely glitched, unable to turn or move to the side, and locomotion animations stop playing at all, basically game over. I could say that someone should take a look on that but maybe, just maybe, would be better if you just make characters invisible until the level and everything is loaded to prevent this. I mean, more than 2 years and we still have the same issue spawning, completely exposed and floating while everything loads, being an easy target for anything around and unable to do anything. And you could also add a loading screen or fading to prevent players from watching all around while spawning.

I do have an issue on NA 3 where I've glitched into one of the trees kinda. I landed on it fine and there was another ptera on the tree and everything. but when I went to hop off, it seems im now stuck in an invisible box for lack of a better term. I can turn around slowly and reattach/ detach from the tree but im stuck to/in/on the tree. I put in a support ticket with screenshots and cords maybe 2 weeks ago but I havent heard anything back. idk if relevant but there are also vines that im glitching into on the tree so maybe ive somehow glitched between the vines and tree??

Game Crashing Bug. Is there a way I could look at an error log to provide more information? I'm getting an error message as soon as any server loads up "The UE4-TheIsle Game has crashed and will.." "Fatal Error!" I have tried the following:

• Deleting Config Folder
• Resetting Computer (Like 5 times)
• Delete easy Anti-Cheat and Reinstall it.
  -Reinstall the game.
  -Switch to Legacy then back to Evirma
• Legacy seems to work fine but Evirma is a no go.

This problem started when me and my buddy logged in at the same time on the same server right next to each other using the same internet connection. I feel like that shouldn't be the cause of an issue but maybe? I'm not sure its worked before without any issues. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

It has also been known to be caused by strict permissions with a Windows User Account and/or strict Anti-Virus settings

Please reduce what Windows and/or Anti-virus will block as far as programs go. You may need to create a new Windows User account to bypass the issue.

I am having a strange bug that I have only noticed after switching to Evrima, but it happens on both Evrima and vanilla. Exactly 30 minutes after the "The Isle" splash screen loads on game startup, my game will crash to desktop with no error message. It doesn't matter how long I spend making a new skin, or the length of time I am in a server; it is always exactly 30 minutes after the splash screen loads. I actually have been testing this for about a week now with a timer. I have tried switching branches, verifying files, reinstalling the game, completely removing/reinstalling EAC, tried fullscreen/borderless switch and different resolutions and graphics settings. Windows event viewer shows some sort of EAC error that corresponds to the crash times, but I cant figure it out. For now, I am stuck setting a 30 minute timer on my phone and safelogging and restarting game before I crash and lose my dinos to this bug. Any thoughts?

I'm playing on EU2. I'm playing as a Utahraptor and have been attempting to play with my friend as such for over an hour now.

I've run into several geometric issues in the game where you fall into a crevasse and can't get out (currently at latitude -186, 193, 078 and longitude -529, 628, 938) and it's impossible to notice these things because of all of the bushes. In short, it's a death trap that you can't get out of. Makes connecting in-game very difficult.

Try going to the correct server channel (so #evrima-eu , #evrima-na ...) and ping the "Official server admin" role.
Also tell them your in-game name + your specific server.

If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a respons.

ISSUE RESOLVED: Easy Anti-Cheat Required an Updated Video Card Driver for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Game Crashing Bug Round 2. Is there a way I could look at an error log to provide more information? I'm now getting an error message after 1 min of play instead of immediately. The Error is "The UE4-TheIsle Game has crashed and will.." "Fatal Error!" I have tried the following:

New Attempts

• Turned off Anti-Virus and reduced Firewall Restrictions
• Manually Deleted The Isle Folder
• Placed the game into bordless window mode
• Reinstalled the Computers Anti-Virus Software

Old Attempts

• Deleting Config Folder
• Resetting Computer (Like 6 times)
• Delete easy Anti-Cheat and Reinstall it.
  -Reinstalled the game. (About 3 times)
  -Switch to Legacy then back to Evirma
• Legacy seems to work fine but Evirma is a no go.

This problem started when me and my buddy logged in at the same time on the same server right next to each other using the same internet connection. I feel like that shouldn't be the cause of an issue but maybe?

• Could this be a problem with Anti Cheat being falsely flagged or something?
• Maybe a bug with the latest Update not being compatible for some reason?

I believe we found the answer to our troubles. We tried downloading a different game (PoT) and got an Error Prompt that said there was an Issue with Easy Anti-Cheat we discovered Easy Anti-Cheat needed a Video Card Driver update. Upon updating the Video Card Evirma appears to be working now. Thank god I don't have to play Path of Titans.

Try shutting down your pc for a few minutes then restarting it. It would also be of worth to check your firewall settings and ensure you're new pc has the latest drivers installed. After that, these are the EAC solutions. I would highly recommend going through them all. 9/10 times it solves the issue.

Utah and Ptera are two species that get penalised for cannibalism.
If you eat the flesh of another one of your species you will end up with certain debuffs, one of them being random biting spasms.

It's worth noting that Herbivores can get a similiar sickness over eating Mushrooms, only Hypsis can eat those

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder
• Then verify the integrity of your game files over steam
