For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

--------------------------------- 1 -------------------------------
Go to the game folder. Right click game in steam, properties, local files, browse.
Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.
Run the game, now it installs EasyAntiCheat for you.

• Right Click The Isle [Evrima] in steam.
• Properties
• Local Files
• Browse
• Open EasyAntiCheat Folder
• Double click EasyAntiChaet_EOS_Setup. Most likely nothing will happen.
• Return to Properties / Local Files
• Verify integrity of the game files.

  For anyone else with this issue, go to the game directory

Hello, I’m having an issue with evrima crashing every 5 minutes, basically. Every single game I have runs perfectly well, have a nice gaming pc/monitor as well. Evrima was running perfectly fine months ago, no crashing and no lag at all. Now all of a sudden, I’m crashing like crazy and it’s driving me insane lol. Any reasons for this?

Have you tried a full, manual uninstallation? Sometimes starting completely fresh can help with crashes

A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

I haven't changed anything, but if before my ping was about 90 and the average fps 20-30, now I have a ping 150 and fps around 5-10. what is it?? bad optimization and all that, but why then the germans with whom I played yesterday had 80 fps? 😦

I would ignore the ping, the ping isn't real, if I limit my game to 10 fps I get much higher ping than if I have no limit on fps.
Honestly I would just keep messing around with settings till you find something that works.
Can also try deleting the config in case it's got outdated setting causing issues.
Other than that, just usual things like, verify, reinstall, drivers, directx install etc

Try this:

• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder in the 'Steam -> steamapps -> common -> TheIsle' folder of steam
• Then verify the integrity of your game files over steam
• And then restart your PC.

The restart is kind of optional, but it helped some people so I'd recommand it

Also tell them your in-game name + your specific server.

If you don't get an answer in a few min or if your dino is low on water/food, it might be the best to log out for now and wait for a respons.

Having fatal error crashes often on evrima, at east every 5-10 min. No other game, nor legacy does this, just evrima. I have a really good pc and monitor and evrima was running perfectly well a few months ago, though now I can’t even stay in the game longer than 5 minutes. also running at a hill or hitting other people can kick you as Carno.
I also heard from people that got kicked as Pachy or Dryo

been having this issue since update 5 was released, I've already tried everything, official and unofficial. ping is normal at first but when I try to get on it kicks me out after a short time and gives me this message, than when I go back to the server selection screen the ping is still normal looking but in reality it's 444 than eventually it changes to -1000 atleast for me it does. A re/un-install from hand can sometimes help with certain issues were a normal uninstall over steam doesn't work.
Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.

alr, i'm having issues with evrima.

I ONLY had evrima and it was running fine. but then i wanted to install legacy as well so i didnt have to worry about switching back and forth and dealing with that.
i added the little text to get legacy working and everything. other than occasional low fps, legacy ran fine.

but now my evrima is absolutely awful. i get 5-10 FPS (I WAS getting 50+ initially), my graphics are awful, and i again have that no-eyes glitch on deino.

Ive verified my files, and i've completely uninstalled evrima and reinstalled it. i also deleted The Isle folder in my %localappdata%, but it still looks awful. what should i do?

I've always played in a smaller window though, and it's never been an issue. i had decent graphics, 50+ fps, and i'd even fixed that irritating no-eyes glitch for deino.

honestly, i didnt have any issue at all until i installed legacy. but i've seen others have both installed at once and both are playable. 🥴

It's basically where all your settings are saved.

from what i can tell, the other textures all look fine! i tried on utah for a minute and while it's night, i can still see i have eyes and my features look pretty normal. the grass, meat, and other models looked pretty normal too. but the FPS is what's hindering it (as well as... deino looking like it's been through a garbage disposal, with its broken teeth and no eyes.)

Some files "survive" if you uninstall a game over steam, therefore this might help.
For a complete uninstall do these 2 steps:

1.) Deleting your Steam game files:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.

2.) Deleting your Local game files

• Press "Windows key" (or "Windows key" + "R" if that doesn't work)
• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.
• Search for TheIsle folder.
• Delete the TheIsle folder once you've found it.

Now you can re-install the game over Steam, like normal.
