Chainmail breathes well. It's the gambeson you wear under it that doesn't. Gambesons are thick (usually woolen) quilt tunics you wear under armor so you don't get bludgeoned too badly.

@spice blaze you should also reference skeletals a bit. Keep in mind the gastralia/belly ribs do not have a dip when they reach the pubic bone. So the length of the pubic bone is a good way of judging how deep the belly of the dinosaur is.

like, literally any one of these dinosaurs can be termed as an "OC," as an oc is defined as an original character, a design you come up with yourself

since its such a wide term, the line between what can and cannot be posted is blurred

right now, what seems to be the determining factor is the caption of the art
if you captioned your design with "decided to draw my pteranodon OC" it will likely get taken down
but if you caption the same piece of art with "drew a ptera with a rainbow crest" instead, it would stay up

As you partially addressed with the "channel" buttons, the screen could be sideways in order to accommodate the webcam, but your "Live" button being upright instead of consistent for the same device bugs me so bad. Lmao. Have you thought about rotating the "Live" to be synonymous with the other aspects or even rotating the device instead of it being vertical?

very good point, i think what I will do is rotate the "Live" text to keep it consistent with the "Channel" text. I may also change the cam to a horizontal orientation in the future as I'm not completely in love with the vertical one because of how tricky it is to remember where to position myself so i'm in the frame. shouldn't be too hard of a fix

Dont try to set every line right away at the final position even in a 2 minute challange

My way of going things is starting with a basic circle for the head then from there out working more and more in detail

Erasing not needet base lines anymore and fixing the detailed lines then highlighting the more important ones like outlines and shadowing then finish

It's not a how to more a how do I way

the thing to question is who or when do you say "this character is more fanart than character, this character is more character than fanart" without being able to explain it to a confused artist who just wanted to share their love for the isle

It's not really a question. It's the bar of when something becomes "My." Personalized. Personified. Customized to a personal degree. It's not the fact that the art is unacceptable in every case and should be annihilated. It's the general law of the land that there will be no OCs permitted because it will inevitably cause issues in various regards from some people, so the blanket rule prevents others under the pretense of being fair. Anything that gets removed in the fan-art channel for the guidelines there can always go into #offtopic-discussion, too. So it's not even like it's just being scoured from the Discord. Asking for bias for some pieces kind of defeats a lot of the point and fair ruling.

I definitely agree that this is needed. Especially with their dislike for anything that is character fan art based on the Isle (which is a very common way artist fans show love for franchises.) I feel if the rules are as aggressively maintained for a general art tab, as they are on this channel, I don't see why this can't be done. I think this is the only server I have been on that is this strict with what is considered fan art.

After my post, I decided to try to return to 3D. Already in the new program, I began to sculpt megalania, but the painting revealed problems: 1) The color was too small and the Troodon color scheme had to be repeated. 2) the program was limited to adjusting the newly placed figures, that is, I could not paint my eyes.
And yes, because of a bug in the program, the stump had to change the idea, and make the lizard one-eyed)

@hoary plover personally I prefer to use pencil and paper, but I do a mix of drawing on paper then scanning it into the computer to line and color in Krita or just drawing in Krita in general.
Krita is a free digital drawing software and it's one of the best free ones you can get. You can even make your own brushes or download different brushes for krita as well.
