i like paleo-accuracy to an extent, honestly, because documentaries can be fun, but i do prefer the more imaginative designs of course,
for my designs i like to think of them, or aim for, anatomy-wise as 80% accurate, and what isnt, i can justify with lore and such,

Paleo-accuracy would be functional if my intention was really something like a documentary as you said, but since we have a lore "inspired by the isle," then I believe that sticking to that is actually terrible, since we can do whatever we want in the context of science fiction + horror 18+.

I absolutely hate how the entire jurassic franchise treats the dinosaur theme for children and teenagers, and dondi did well to develop the isle as something 18+ (regarding gore). I really admire that and would like to follow this approach for the Lost Hope project as well, which is much more than just a modding team for the isle...

You're absolutely right, Tapwing's style is perfect for the isle and other larger-scale productions, like original games, etc, but more stylized lines can be much better in specific situations, such as for roblox games, etc.

I can consider that, yes, but for now we'll leave the marine roster aside for a bit because we don't know much about how the isle devs will officially proceed with it.

However, Livyathan is already very well developed, and with a perfect pregnancy system, which I'd like to share as soon as the server opens. But overall, that's it. It's difficult to plan an exact marine roster because we don't know which species will officially be included, but I'll consider your suggestion.

I'm really trying to create specific interactions between certain species. I can't be too specific, but our Maip will have a specific mechanic, its main one, that can be completely negated by the Caviramus (which is a sentinel pterosaur for herbivores), and things like that. I like to really put species in conflict and have a considerable impact on the other's gameplay.

It makes the gameplay more believable and realistic.

It's veeryy lore related but we want to try to explore this in-game.

I think you're talking about Cavima specially, so, Cavima will be a sentinel pterosaur, as I said before, we've put a good tracking system on it where you'll be able to spot a carnivore that's within your line of sight while you're on the back of a herbivore.

They will be practically essential for large groups of herbivores and good gameplay among friends, since Cavima will come with a care system (still under evaluation), in which they will help a lot, mainly in treating wounds and assisting in the recovery from bleeding.

And that's it, that's what I think about smaller animals, unlike the Rhamphorhynchus which, just like in POT, will feed on blood (much more developed than there, since here it's its primary form of feeding and hunting).

the only reason i woudnt have the problem is because we plan to have a progression system, which of course forces players to use a small dinosaur at one point or another if they ever want to use something bigger,

Especially with Hatz. Hatz is extremely requested by the community, but they already have Quetzal, so there's no reason to bring him officially.🤷🏻‍♂️

From what im seeing, just smoothing out that lower jaw muscle so it’s not as tight, drawing in the brow bone on the top of the eye and making sure that the neck transitions into the curve of the lower jaw as that’s where it connects

the eye at that angle is also slightly facing forward so that might help too!

I'm debating on upgrading my current digital art set up, I've had a drawing tablet for ages and it costed like 40 bucks and beat up badly now. should I invest in one with a screen?
