#isle-fan-art message I wanted to add onto what I personally would like from a Feathered Utahraptor in the Isle. First off, I really hope the design team incorporates mutton chops for its design, I just think it would be the coolest thing ever. I'd also want it to be very bulky, I just like the idea of a Stocky raptor, and I hope it has a Grappling Mechanic similar to how raptors are theorized to utilize when they existed. I also hope they give it distinct calls from Omniraptor, I'm just tired of Jurassic Park Barks. The Sound Design team for this game is amazing, so I know for a fact they can do something truly great.

The weight on the chest seem to be too strong and it is creating pinching. I am not a professional but did a little animation before, I would try removing some of the weight from the chest where the fold happens, that might help. You could also try to smooth it out more so its not so sharp in that region. Not sure though.

itl look more natural since yknow dinos have alot more bones in their neck , and if youre using legacy acro model and rig to make evrima acro id just go ahead and make the model from scratch same with the rig

Yep, just keep watching tutorials.
Zbrush isn't required but I would really recommend it, its a much better sculpting platform

Be prepared to spend like a week+ sculpting a dinosaur

Those sketches are really good, a tip I'd give is use boxes and look at the anatomy of bird legs.
Already saw that you used the boxes for head but you could use it even more, like on the top right sketch I'd "tilt" the head a bit more to the left as in rotate the box, I can sketch up a quick thing of what I mean in a bit

And I'd honestly just get a Dino figurine if you have the money to, they are super helpful to find good poses and perspectives

Honestly, you can use whatever you want from boxes to triangles or balls, it depends on your art style

anyone has an idea about how to fix this in the isle's giga model

ive seen it a lot before, weight paint seems to be affect but some UV cuts that are not really there, and smoothing/doing any edit to the weight paing makes it more awful (sharp edges)

problem solved, i was not right and the UV maps were seperated on the model which led to this

i merged by distance and it worked 👍

Haha yeah I noticed on the model it had more scutes there so I thought that maybe they could be tougher making it harder for troodons to bite through when pouncing but not for dilo due to dilo being able ti bite the legs and such and I know troodon can but also size wise troodon shouldn’t even be able to affect Pachyrhinosaurus

Yeah you're getting there. Make sure you study the principles of animation and become a master of not only curves, but tangents as well. They make an equal and sometimes greater effect on your animation. That's is how you get a smooth cycle. Make sure you line your last and first frame tangents up smoothly. That's how you get a seamless result.

Alongside that, reference the isle teno running a lot, I believe their front legs go closer to running at the same time than expected, leading their upper half to go up and down too, if both the back and front exchange airtime, then you may be able to push it more and really give it a galloping feeling

For just dinos in general I try to look at a ton of paleoart references and bird/crocodile references for visualizing how the scales work, and how the soft tissue adds extra thickness around the bones and joints. Especially look at theropod skeletals of feet to visualize where the digits are, look at chicken and emu feet to visualize soft tissue, and practice a lot
