Yeah...its typical to see pteras nest high on cliffs by ocean. It just makes NO sense for them to nest on the ground... Hypsi at least nest by the edge to hide cause its small. Ptera just straight out in the open.

Its a much easier/bigger reward for the terrestrial herbivores and maybe carnivores. Idk why not encourage species to nest where it makes sense for them? Its like saying deino should nest there when theres no water lol and they usually nest by water. Teno, pachy and stego makes sense to nest at the nesting grounds, as seen from the concept and the classic herbivore nesting grounds while carnivores nest in the jungle and ambush the herd in the open. I hope they change this in the future to make it more interesting.

Because that is not the solution. Whichever slider you lower down you end up having the same issue, either hearing your biting so that your ears don't bleed with not hearing environment or hearing environment with having your ears bleed when you bite :).
The goal is to hear environment and your biting but without the ears bleeding part

i was in a nesting ground on official and it was empty AF, talked with a herd i was going with and they went to 2 nesting grounds and it was more negative than usefull

Dinos in brighter areas (the brighter the area the more visible it is) have a wierd effect. It very noticable on Pteras while flying above bright areas like plains and grasslands and it's also appears when drinking. It also shows when a character moves or while standing and turning into a diffrent direction. It looks like the character was super fast but at normal speed it's a wierd effect. It's almost like a few transparent foggy replicas would appear for a second right where you turned. If it's a setting I have to change or something, pls tell me.

We (qa) were able to more easily contact and teach the team members about any issues or extra info we needed

ST is already a sort of Wild West prison camp for people working with the game and getting some notoriety with the higher ups (we’ve actually had unbans as result of good ST performance). Making it even wider scope isn’t super feasible from a management standpoint.

More load for people in power, more to manage as far as member actions, far more annoying.

There’s already short-burst open testing to get a hardware scope of problems that could arise - but The Isle is an evolving game, it’s going to change with technology. Not everyone is going to keep up and that’s an unfortunate reaction to technological progression.

As months grow to years, baseline benchmarks are gonna change which sucks but progress often does.

I think it's primarily because of the lighting changes. Everything looks flat and ugly now. You can also see things you have no business seeing. Forests are no longer dense. Colors are honestly starting to look as hideous as Legacy. There are issues with things not rendering properly or at all too. Ugly LODs popping in your face.

Has anyone ran into a bug where, upon hitting "reset" in the control layout, it completely breaks the X axis of the mouse? I can set a random key to the axis, ">" for example, but as soon as I set it back to the mouse's X axis is will not look left or right. The Y axis works just fine, and I can look up and down but not left or right. Resetting again had no effect. I was playing for a few hours, grew a carno to adult, but as soon as I did this (resetting some keybinds) it broke. I submitted a bug report already. Any help?

Before in up4 a solo pachy was able to outright kill a carno but now if there is a lone pachy the best call is to break its leg and run away but keep in mind if there are more pachys like 2 or 3 then they can still kill a carno and thats what it should be

This happened because they wanted pachy to have the ability to kill utah quickly, which also meant that its damage was enough to threaten larger creatures.

These balance problems need more species to alleviate. Too few species to choose from lead to too many single species. When carno is killed by pachy whose number is three or four times that of pachy, Pachy will feel carno OP, and Pachy will also feel Carno OP when he often has to face more than three Carnos.

until now, based on my just 2.5 hours with update 5, I think it's the worst update since I started playing the game. I'm not sure about balance updates as I never really had the chance to test them yet. But I think that the change in the lighting of the game (excess of contrast/brightness which is really a pain for the eyes, probably not healthy for the eyes as well) and the fact that it takes an average 20 or more minutes to enter a server and that there's absolutely no indication on which one has got space, simply ruin the entire game experience. It isn't anymore a relaxing or funny time spent on a videogame, it is just something for which you get painful eyes or you get angry trying to enter a server. A bit like a restaurant with no entrance that flashes you with a massive torch on the outside when you're looking for the entrance

I believe it’s because it’s unrealistic. With Evrima they’ve been trying to get everything to be almost hyper realistic in the sense of if you can’t see, hear, or smell them, they practically don’t exist to your Dino. It’s the same reason we have realistic egg incubation and whatnot :)

Evrima isn't trying to be hyper realistic, I would say it is more of a semi-realism game, that tries to implement mechanics as though they're natural to the playable.

They do want to be more restrictable in a way. Dinosaurs to gather only with their species and being able to communicate. Although I literally don't see it as a good idea, because discord exists. I do believe that more hidden reason is that global chat needs to be moderated.
I do approve though to be togglable option for servers. It gives more freedom to servers to customize with the settings they want and therefroe if they want more chill and communication free environment, then being able to toggle global on is a good idea.

Dryo resistant to fall damage? Its weight is around that of a human. So if a human can cover the fall so dryo would too. Well if I have to be honest, I do believe we humans can fall from a lot higher, if you do it right.
Deino climbing. I am gonna eat, climb and afk then, save from the adult deinos (therefore no challenge).

You don't suggest more fun mechanics (except the teno one), but mechanics that will just make growth a lot easier, rather than being fun.

rocks and cliffs should have A LOT more of these places, where its either a cave inside the rock, or an overhang where if you crouch or small enough you can get under to rest or be safe etc, jungles should have hollow trees and so on

1- If you choose to afk grow with the mechanics given it's not the game's problem, it's your problem. You're automatically given more things to do as a juvie that you simply cannot do as adults (without perks for a few cases)
2- Yes, that's it. What else do you expect for a carno?

5- If that's how you choose to use it, then it's not the mechanic's problem. It's supposed to be used either for basking (when that is out) and for escaping adults (with other uses of course).
