So ive had a problem with the game for the last 3 hours. Whenever im in the game as a dinosaur my game freezes for 4 solid seconds every 3-7 seconds. Ive restarted my pc, validated my files, shut down my pc, reinstalled the game, rejoined servers, and i still have lag. Its not my internet, nor my pc, i can play other high performance games with no problems. ive lowered my graphics and post processing and the same problem continues,

I think now nvidia offers to do it before installing a driver , just download an old version and run the .exe , follow what written , at one point it should ask if you want to uninstall the current driver

When the game is open, shift-tab and open up the settings menu. In the In-Game tab, change the In-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / Minute to 500, then hit ok. Try searching for the specific server again after that.

Mh, that's strange. I know this could happen on private ones, if something is wrong with the connection, ect - never happened to me, but I've heard it quite often. But if it also happens on official ones? I don't know. Did you updated your Computer? Try to update NVIDIA, AMD, Intel (depends on what you are using) and try to update the Isle - did you already tried to uninstall it and install it again?

Rubberbanding constantly after a windows update, cant fix it. Tried everything Paco suggested me and I am still rubberbanding af for no reason. It was fine before the update but now any server over 100 players is lagging badly. Im rather frustrated.

But... For testing sake, Imma include what I've done:

Game launches fine.
When I try to search for a specific server name, the game crashes with the following error:

THe UE4-TheIsle Game has crashed and will...
Fatal error!

Trying to search for: Nublar

Have:
Restarted the game.
Checked to make sure game was up to date.
Relauched steam.
Restarted computer.

All have had the same issue.

Searching for official servers... No issue.

Tried searching for Nycta to see if it was something related, was able to search for Nycta. Tried searching for Nublar again... Showed up fine. Was able to successfully log in to server.

Possibility: Removing the server name before it completes initial search, then searching for the server again.

Fixed it. If this ever happens to you, unplug any controllers that are plugged into your system. For some reason my controller was interfering with the camera.

Not sure if this is where I can ask this, But I was wondering if anyone knew a bit about computers? I found out mine didn't meet the requirements for The Isle, but when I check I think its just the graphics card. So I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out if I should just get a new graphics card put in, or if I should just wait and try for a new computer instead? Either way we will have to probably wait till tax time, we are a low one-income family with two kids, so we want to try to find the best priced option. @scarlet chasm The servers just won't come up. It says no servers found. Every time I've had this happen I go though the same process of the winsock reset and the dns flush and restart my pc. This has been going on since I bought a new video card and according to the steam profile, my video is well within what I need for it to run. This morning I tried to get on and it took 5 minutes for two servers to show up, I restarted my game, took 5 minutes for it to say no servers found. I did the whole reset thing, got into the server I wanted for maybe 30 minutes and then was kicked from the server and it said connection lost, the connection to the server has been lost. Last time it froze my whole game up and I did the reset and was fine for awhile. It seems like every time I try to get on the isle on any servers I have to go through the whole thing all over again. I have a video of it doing it this time.

alright so here's a few thing you can try to see if it help

If servers are not showing up:

Click Steam in the top left of your Steam library.
Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
Right click Command Prompt
Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns

i dont know what this issue falls under so im asking here. i have my graphical settings on cinematic by default. i did not put them there. the dinos and lighting look fine but all the green grass plants and trees look horrid. they are all fuzzy looking. They remind me of a static tv screen because they like have a siezure. why does everything look like low graphics when my settings are on max?

Most likely Geforce Experience set them to Cinematic. I'd turn them down to epic and shadows to medium. Maybe make sure Geforce Experience doesn't automatically switch them in the future.

If playing on steam you could try to verify the files. Maybe try updating drivers as well. If neither of those work you should try deleting it entirely even from your steam files and then do a fresh new install

@sonic panther have you tried looking to see if the driver needs an update? i used to play battlefront 2 and i have a 1660Ti but the game for about a week wouldnt break 30 fps even on low. i was about ready to wuit and i made sure that i was using the 1660 card. but then i found out i had an update and after updating the card everything went back to normal.

sadly that isnt the same with the isle because no matter what i do it stays the same. lowering my graphical settings does nothing because everything looks the exact same. updating does nothing and deleting and re installing the game did nothing. also verified files so i just cant play this game right now it looks horrible in game and i love dinosaur games so it makes me sad

Hi, I am having a problem with starting up the game. An error message shows up and it says: fatal error: [file unknown] [line: 251]. I have already tried updating Windows and i have tried to uninstall and reinstall the game but the message still shows up. Does anybody know a solution to that problem?

For servers not showing you can try the following @wary agate

If servers are not showing up:

Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
Right click Command Prompt
Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns
Hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset
Hit enter
Reboot your computer
Open up The Isle

@honest river That's a question for this channel. Try this. When the game is open, shift-tab and open up the settings menu. In the In-Game tab, change the In-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / Minute to 500, then hit ok. Try searching for the specific server again after that.

Go to your steam library, right click on The Isle, go to properties, then local files, then verify integrity of game files.

Let that run, if that doesn't work, try the first fix I told you but instead of 500, set it to 1000 just to see if that might fix it.

You should try giving priority to your 1050 ti , the game might be trying to use your integrated video chip. (You can do so in the nvidia control panel)

Also try deleting your saved folder. You can find it by doing these steps below:

Type %localappdata% in your taskbar search box and press enter. A new window should have opened , scroll down in it until you find "The Isle" and delete the saved folder found inside.

I'm not too sure on where else to ask this
My FPS has suddenly just dropped
I used to run at 50-60FPS just fine, and all of a sudden I started running at 15-20 when I tried to play a few weeks later
Then it started running at 10-13, after I lowered my settings
Now it's running at 8-10 and I'm not sure what to do anymore
I haven't messed with my settings prior to this, and I went to different servers to encounter the same FPS drop
anyone know a solution by chance?
My other games are running fine, The Isle just seems to be having a issue

Go to Program Files.
Locate and select NVIDIA Corporation > Display.NVContainer.
Locate and right-click the DisplayDriverRAS.
Select Delete.
Go back to the NVIDIA Corporation folder and locate and delete the DisplayDriverRAS folder under it.
Exit Windows Explorer and go to Task Manager.
Go under the Processes tab, locate the Container.exe process and terminate it.

I updated My Drivers, restarted my computer and re-installed my game but I'm still having the same issue. Any other recommendations?.

been a while since an update but i was playing assassins creed black flag and i had the same blurry plant texture. I fixed that issue by putting the anti aliasing (hope thats how i spelled it) on TXAA which fixed it immediately. Problem is the isle doesnt have an option to choose specifics. It only has options like high medium low cinematic or epic. Is there any way to change what anti aliasing option i can use in game?

I know a couple methods that may fix this error but i need to know what things you have tried and what didnt work

nvm i just looked. Did you check nvidia one more time for any new updates on drivers? upon doing reasearch it would seem that updating the drivers is the solution to this problem. But that hasnt seemed to work for you. You could also have steam verify the files maybe you will find a broken file.

"Right click The Isle in your Steam Library > left click properties > local files > browse local files > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder and re-launch The Isle" found this solution that seems to have helped many people. Won't take credit its from the developer so try this. He says its essentially the same thing as resetting all your files and will reinstall fresh when you launch the game. Give this a try see what happens. And one more thing is maybe rolling back on a driver update so reverse to an older update because maybe its the newest update that isnt allowing it to run.

sorry i have a lot of possible solutions. Last one. As someone mentioned before to help someone else in nvidia panel make sure the game isnt set to use your integrated card. Happned to me once where my game was using integrated and it was utterly destroying performance wise and it kept crashing. I changed it to my 1660 Ti and it went back to working

wait if steam is detecting integrated then maybe the game is trying to run your integrated card so make sure nvidia control panel is set to run the isle with whatever your other card is

One is 'preferred graphic processors'
And the second one should be something like 'openGL rendering'

Thx!! Been trying to fix it, I took it off the firewall, changed my ping to 1000, updates my NVIDIA driver, troubleshooted my Internet. Everything else works smoothly it's just the Isle. It works normal the first time you login to the severs on that day, then after a few refreshers it just goes to No Servers available for anything 😭

The last person I was helping that tried all the fixes but couldn't figure it out had an internet issue. If anything, you can see if you can connect to the servers through steam instead of the game until Paco or MagicTrevor can help you out.

What confuses me is every other steam game is working smoothly, no issues, perfect connection. No bugs. It's only the Isle that's acting up. So I'm not sure its internet

if you type %localappdata% in your taskbar search box and press enter , a new window will open. In that new window scroll down to The Isle

Open it and navigate in to Saved , then in SaveGames , all your preset is inside the PlayerSettings file.

@rocky void As MagicTrevor says, the only way to connect on every servers (if you get the typical error ''Lost connection to the host'') you have to go on steam "View" -> "Servers" and search servers from here. Many people have this problem and there's no fix, my girl have the same problem and that's the only way to make the game work.

Hello!

After trying every possible Solution, I still can't see the Servers I want to play on.
I changed max. pings and did the cmd stuff.
I can't see the servers ingame and joining via Steam-Server-List will lead to random connections (want to join XXX-Server Nr.3, spawn in XXX-Server Nr.4)

@lilac thistle I cannot log into any server it says " you were kicked out " like any server, all the server respond the same, is there any thing i can do ? Hello, I am having a huge amount of trouble with keeping consistent framerate. Up until a week ago, I have had amazing performance but recently its been taking a dive from a respectable 80 to 25 and stays there. it has never done this before. I have checked both the capabilities and drivers for my gpu, cpu and Ram against requirements all of which say they should be capable of what i was once receiving (80fps on epic or higher settings). The game starts up fine for 5 minutes then suddenly drops and doesnt recover. I have uninstalled it once to no avail. I have checked drivers for updates. Can someone help me?

i don't know if its just me that this has happened to but I've been trying to play The Isle for the past day now and for some reason no servers show up at all. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it to see if that would fix the issue but it seems that it hasn't. I've tried refreshing with boxes ticked/not ticked and also tried changing the other filters but nothing is working. does anyone know how to fix this?

@dawn terrace you can try these:

If servers are not showing up:

Click Steam in the top left of your Steam library.
Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
Right click Command Prompt
Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns
Hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset
Hit enter
Reboot your computer
Open up The Isle

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
Afterwards, at the bottom left of your taskbar there should be a white search bar. Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder.

Something strange is happening and I don't know why. I get kicked immediately upon joining a server. It doesn't matter if I played there before or not, it's every single one that's kicking me out. So I have setup my own isle server, but when I launch it it doesn't show up on the server list, and when I search for it it won't show up either. Anyone have had this issue before and know a reason/fix?

Your computer is serverly under the minimum specifications to play the game , that's why you can't launch it. You will have to get a better computer to play ,or refund the game through Steam.@indigo shore

First, go to the windows search and say, CMD
Then, run the command prompt with admin by right clicking
Type ipconfig /flushdns
Press enter and type netsh winsock reset and press enter again,
Restart the computer and open up The Isle

i might as well ask this here, but i've been having some issues with my fps lately. i'll run at 56-60 most of the time, but every 10-20 seconds, it'll drop to 12-18. this lasts for about 7 seconds on average. i'm not sure why it happens, i've tried changing all my graphics settings from "epic" to "medium" and it still does the same thing. i'm running no other programs besides the isle and discord and it still happens. would really appreciate any help, here's my system specs:

OK, I have tried just about everything that I can think of, but I can not get alot of servers to show up, especially the officials. I have changed my ping, i have gone from 5000 all the way down to 250. 500 is usually best. Then i followed the proceedure in the command prompt posted by @pale pike up a bit. Still nothing. Please help.

Any idea what could be causing Discord Voice Chat and the game audio not agreeing with each other? Lately for some reason when I try to use the voice chat (through the windows app) I loose all my in game audio and most of the time the chat audio too. I have already tried resetting my audio settings and reinstalling the app. I also I haven't had this problem with other games thus far. So any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

I dont know if it will help anyone in here, but since an update to the radeon driver software about a month or two ago, the isle has had fps drops and strange visual bugs for many users. Do we have a confirmed message from a dev or dondi stating if the game will be much more compatible with newer AMD Cards? My current card says that the isle is compatible but it will run as stating: "isnt optimised". (it states this under the game in the driver software) Im just wondering 🙂

Hey buddies, so I have a problem finding the Official servers. When I refresh, I can indeed see other servers, but not the officials like US 1 and so forth. I've done some research and tried changing the ping setting in my Steam settings. I've also messed around with the server filter (unchecked/checked the boxes in different patterns to see if it resulted differently). Sadly, I just can't find them, and they're all I enjoy playing on. I love this game very much, any ideas buddies?

It's only been like this for a few days or maybe a week, to my knowledge. I discovered the issue within this week.

Come to think of it, I cannot see all of the non-official servers. The list seems small, and some famous servers don't exist as well on my server list. I saw above that others are having this issue as well? Did something happen, a hotfix of some sort that affected serve setting?

Here is what I see when I load up the server list. If I have the "HIDE EMPTY" tab unchecked, I get about 80 other servers that are at 0 capacity.

I also keep getting the error, "Out of Video Memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running, Exiting..."

I turn all the graphics down to the lowest settings and i close all other applications....and I'm sure that I have the minimum required memory...but maybe im wrong hhhh

Hi there... I keep getting fps drops from 50 allthe way down to 10 and then stuttering, making it impossible to play the game... I've had no issue before with this till a few months ago where me and Paco went through everything to try and fix it.

I have 100% disk usage and if its not disk usage its memory usually with these. I've already looked up the "ten ways to fix 100% disk drive" and all those tutorials. Nothing has yet to work.... I am scared I may have to fully reset my laptop and that maybe one of the updates got glitched... Anyway heres the programs:

Antimalware service ex - This uses 50% of my disk making disk shoot up to 100% whenever my virus protection is on...
Discord

And The Isle using up 40% ?
I have it windowed and res reduced to 80% and all my graphics are low with a few at medium...

Is there any fix or do I have to wait for windows to get their shite together before I can play again? Thanks qwq

TLDR: I am lagging and getting 100% disk drive issues I've already looked up online help wondering if anyone has any other advice thanks

Update: Confirmed its only with the isle I am having this problem and windows defender is the main cause... sigh

@rose wraith i fixed that yesterday by reinstalling steam, i found the issue is with the GPU or the graphics card, you might be using old graphics card like i do but when it gets fixed you may find some issues while playing the game like the how there is always shading above you in the game and it follow you and might be an issue to see things around you in nightime without night vision

I'm not sure if this is the right channel for this: On the official server EU1 is a maia stuck near the southern canyons (or more likely in the southern canyons). It would be nice to help him (as a dryo I couldn't really do much, besides falling down next to him/her). I don't know if the admins are teleporting or killing stuck players, but please help him/her.

On one of the servers I play on the skin for my rex always is set to default when I play. It is only for rex and only for that server. I do not have trouble customizing my colors for any other dino on that server or for rex in general on any other server.

@earnest oasis issues like that should be done in the corresponding server channel below and tagging the server admin role 🙂

@lean junco if you haven’t yet, try the following:

If servers are not showing up:

Click Steam in the top left of your Steam library.
Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
Right click Command Prompt
Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
Type ipconfig /flushdns
Hit enter
Type netsh winsock reset
Hit enter
Reboot your computer
Open up The Isle

@novel river did yours get solved? Looks like Steam May be using your integrated graphics vs the GeForce card as the driver is very out of date.

Which driver is out of date? I had to get rid of GeForce it opens nivida container and makes disk at 100%

Ah yeah you should be able to get the nvidia driver from their site without GeForce experience if that was causing the disk issue. Also if your hard drive (is it an ssd?) is too full it can slow down as well.

Without that driver it’ll use the integrated intel graphics

I was gonna buy an external SSD and ram update but I was told buy ram first because I may just be lagging since I only have 8ram when recommended for most games now Is at least 16

Yeah that’s possible, if you have too much running and exceeds RAM then it will designate a part of the hard drive to “act” like ram but x1000 slower.

I keep getting kicked from EU1. I join, the server loads and immediately after I see the map being loaded I get this message. Have I been banned? And if I have, for what??
