Ive been trying to play legacy again but no matter how many times I refresh its always on "no servers found", I have no search filters eithers so im confused about this issue. I tried setting my server browser pings to 1000 how everyone show them on youtube videos, but still nothing. Anyone able to help?

Maybe u should try to set it to '500' and see what happen.
Or close the game ( "while the game is closed" )

Ive been trying to play the isle in general for 4 days but the problem occured on the 13th on legacy. whenever i start the game, it never shows what it should be showing, it shows the AE startup screen, but not the actual selection screen (idk what the home screen is so heres an image and video for context

Try:

  1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
  2. Open File Explorer.
  3. Click the address bar at the top.
  4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
  5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
  6. Open the "Saved" folder.
  7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults. (Or, try to Delete the "Saved" folder entirely)
  8. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

I have a question regarding the "Disconnected from Host" message, I have a member in a server who keeps getting that message popping up, I sent them some options on how to troubleshoot it, so far the options they tried have not worked, I was wondering if their are more options to try other than the firewall blocking issue, updating game drivers, and turning on admin from exe..?

My game has been running smooth until seemingly out of nowhere this constant pattern of lag spikes started appearing after a few smooth minutes of gameplay after joining any server. It makes the game unplayable. Uninstalling, re-installing, and re-verifying the files of the whole game has not worked. :(

Hey, so I been having a problem with my isle. It’s choppy as can be to the point when I walk/run sometimes it will still keep going for like 30+ seconds, I have done everything I could by verifying integrity of the files through steam, deleting the config folder to reset settings and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Usually it fixes itself after the last step. But it’s still continuing to be choppy and has been the last 4 days. Any ideas?
I have good internet and have single digit ping majority of the time in all servers. Just lately it’s been like this and won’t resolve itself.

Ok so heres what i did:

  1. Uninstall The Isle
  2. Settings>Privacy and Security>Windows Security
  3. Then "Open Windows Security"
  4. Virus & Threat Protection>Virus And Threat Protection Settings>Manage Settings
  5. Scroll down to "Exclusions" then press "Add or remove exclusions"
  6. then press "Add an exclusion" and select "Folder"
  7. from there you will find your isle folder and add it to the list.
  8. once all that is done, restart your pc
  9. finally, when your computer loads back up, re-install the isle

Enabling "Hide empty", disabling the Official filter, adjusting the maximum server results, and adjusting the maximum server browser pings per minute setting in Steam can all help with server searches, though that's not an exhaustive list and I'm not sure if it's still accurate

If servers are not showing up:

  1. Click Steam in the top left of your Steam library.
  2. Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

  1. Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
  2. Right click Command Prompt
  3. Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
  4. Type ipconfig /flushdns
  5. Hit enter
  6. Type netsh winsock reset
  7. Hit enter
  8. Reboot your computer

Hi, I just switched back to Legacy as I have a ton of times and none of my keybinds or keyboard keys work except for calls. I logged in as a sitting cera and not even the escape key works for the menu or tab. My 1,2,3 and 4 calls all work but nothing else. I can't get up, move, do literally anything. Okay so I found the problem with legacy

There’s that text document called steam_appid

#

It was in the wrong place upon installation

#

It was along side the manifest documents under the Engine and TheIsle folders

#

But it needed to be in TheIsle>Binaries>Win64 alongside the TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping application

So there’s that.

I’m gonna reinstall Evrima and see if there’s a similar problem there

If servers are not showing up:

  1. Click Steam in the top left of your Steam library.
  2. Go to Settings > In-Game > click the bottom dropdown box and change your max pings to 1000. Note: You may need to play around with the best setting for you. Some players have reported 500 works better for them.

IF that doesn't work, follow this:

Open an Administrator level command prompt

  1. Type in CMD on your windows search through your computer.
  2. Right click Command Prompt
  3. Click Run as Admin. It'll open a black weird box
  4. Type ipconfig /flushdns

Hey I need help, I opened up the isle and it keeps saying no servers found, steam is online and I'm connected to the internet, I tried reopening the game multiple times and resetting my PC, it didn't work, I tried spamming refresh and then just waited and a bunch of China servers popped up but when I refreshed again it said no servers found, all of my filters are off, the last thing to do is to just reinstall it but I don't want to do that because it takes all day for me.

I launched the isle and searched up noobz but i only find the progession servers. I then tried searching asura but only found a few of their servers. New beginnings doesnt exist at all. I closed the game and restarted steam, verified my files, changed account and even restarted my pc, for what that is worth. I still cant find all the servers. Joining trough the top server website does nothing for me either and i got admin powers so im supposed to get in right away without waiting for an open slot. The only thing that gets me into the server is joining trough someone steam inviting me.

My max results have been toyed with too, currently resting at 100 results. Ive tried "hide empty" too. Still nothing.

Any idea how i can fix this?

We are having problems with getting our Legacy Server to work.
In the server settings in gportal it says the correct name of the server and shows the server as online but in game it is no where to find.

My friend was trying to play legacy with me earlier, and while they could move and call, they couldn't do anything else. Their game said that they were using a gamepad even though they aren't, and hadn't plugged in a controller at any point. They deleted the Saved file in the local app data, they looked at the controller options and nothing was different, they reinstalled the game and checked integrity of files multiple times; I tried to help them with what feels like everything, but we must be missing something. I used to be able to join a server without struggle, however, lately I'm unable to find the server no matter what I do.

I've kept everything how it normally is, i've tried different Max Results, I've tried resetting the game/steam, and also uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game... I still can't find the server.

hm, Try doing this, it should fix it.
This will reset all your Keybinds and Graphic settings.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder
6.) Delete the Config folder
7.) Start the game again and see if it's fixed

I've tried that, once every 10-15 restarts of the game the servers will load within about 15 seconds, but other than that it literally takes about 15 minutes for the server list to load. I have 0 issues with Evrima. It's just legacy doing it to me.

Update: to fix my issue I deleted the config folder after locating it finally and now when I try to log into servers, where it should be loading before it takes you to the character creation, it sits as a black screen with audio. No loading or nothing. I've tried a few different servers

So I've just run into an issue, and I've tried a lot of things with no results. I was going to launch evrima, it would play the little startup sequence, and then when it should've gotten to the menu it wouldn't load or do anything but left me at a black screen. I tried again and again with no change, I verified the integrity of game files, no change. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no change. I deleted the files of the game, uninstalled and reinstalled, and then verified the game files again with no change. I tried restarting my computer and it did nothing.

So I tried switching back to legacy.

And it gave me the same exact issues, but this time I couldn't even close out of the game when I would launch it. Alt-F4, task manager, nothing worked to close it once it got stuck at the same black screen unless I would restart my computer.

And I don't understand because the game has never given me an issue for the entire time I've been playing it, until now.

Okay so I think I may have found a probable solution to my own issue, all I think I had to do was update my drivers, and then I tried launching it and it worked. Hopefully anyone with the same issue can try that and it helps.

Different values work for different people, since it can vary depending on your internet and location. If it's at something like 5000 (which I think is default?) you'll probably need to lower it, maybe to 2500 or 1000, or even lower

Also, make sure you have the Official filter disabled, as there are no official servers on legacy

Ah sorry, didn't realize! v3 is the most common and popular map, it's larger than Thenyaw. The test map is called Dv_TestLevel and it's just a big untextured rectangle to walk on, basically. Deathmatch servers usually use the test level, survival servers generally use v3 or Thenyaw

Any player body will have organs. You can thrash them by holding LMB and shaking the mouse while carrying the corpse, or you can open them up by biting the coprse and pluck the organs out that way

That depends on what you have installed.
If you switched to the Evrima beta at any point, you will have to go back to the beta menu and deselect Evrima by selecting "none".
But that will also mean you have to redownload Legacy, and Evrima will be deinstalled.

If you want to see a guide on how you can have both versions installed at the same time, I'd recommand taking a look at this post, it explains it well.
