We do know that Don has had notes for several misc. dates chosen in relation to an assumed 'incident' on his notes
however, this was pre him doing the 'timeline doc', so probably a lot of change here and there

probably, with the dates though, being dates / times that specific or multiple AE facilities / islands / locations were 'attacked' by X, Y and/or Z (etc)

It’s not that the Matriarch isn’t canon to Legacy. The issue is that the common perception of the Matriarch comes largely from Tapwing’s own fan lore.
Because of that, a lot of what people refer to as Stage 1 through Stage 6 isn’t actually true canon Legacy lore.

Creating is hard, a lot of people think it’s easier than it is. People have to take hours out of their day to do research, make the video, edit it, and put their soul into their work. I think the entire rex HT was building towards evrima becoming main branch

• The most famous dinosaur (rex) is in game, and that animal's classic foe (trike)
• Core game loop established w/ mutations and elder/entomb system
• Map is more streamlined, with extraneous areas removed (tbh I liked west access and the big islands, but I feel like I get why they are gone)
• Updated to a newer engine version
• UI updated from old (legacy?) version, with a cleaner look that matches the modern vibe
• With trike, rex, and allo in game, the roster is plenty deep at 20 members. Aquatic ecosystem needs to be fleshed out, same with the flyers, and a dinosaur game is never complete without a sauropod - fortunately all of these things are in the immediate pipeline

At this point I think the biggest things we would need for evrima to be main branch are just bug fixes and QoL, nothing terribly major

But... there’s a line that says “external login successful ... [OLYMPUS]”
which I've seemed to kind of glossed over (for quite a while now it seems...)

This is specifically in regard to external connections,
and it ties back into some older theories we’ve discussed in the past.
What’s interesting is that even as far back as AUGUSTUS, and again with INTRUDER, there seems to be a implication here that I hadn’t fully clocked until now.

Basically whoever the USER is, they’re potentially connecting from wherever OLYMPUS actually is.
This feels like stronger evidence than to that idea then I initially gave it credit for, especially since I don’t even remember us explicitly discussing this part of the boot-up sequence prior.
OR at least, only once or twice in the past

If you look slightly above that line, it does say “waiting for verification”
So it’s still possible that OLYMPUS (in this context) is just simply some sort of verification authority or that the user is Olympus-tagged rather than physically or directly being there (at each computer — GW Area H4 and GW Area G12 ... to note though, that the computers themselves say Area GW_###)

I remember when we discussed AUGUSTUS for MONTHS.

If we want something a bit more literal, I think it would be really interesting to imagine a character within Apollo Engineering who fills a role similar to a “Daedalus” figure.

Not the CEO.
Not the head of the company.
Not a William Afton–type figure, and not some Zeus-like leader.

Instead, this could be someone who is the smartest mind with their hands
but not the smartest mind with their mouth.

They’re highly intelligent, technically brilliant, deeply innovative
but lacking in emotional intelligence. Yet, very strong in raw intellect
Someone who understands systems, machines, and ideas far better than anyone. Ever.

This character could still hold a significant amount of power within Apollo Engineering
not official authority as CEO, but the kind of influence that comes from being indispensable.
Someone who can move the company with his/her unbelievable tech, shape its direction, or enable its greatest achievements,
even if they aren’t publicly in charge.

From there, I think it would be fascinating to have some kind of major event ... a downfall.
Something catastrophic or morally questionable that results in Apollo Engineering no longer having this person as its greatest mind.
Maybe they died? Maybe they (this Daedalus-character) forbade themselves to EVER use their hands to make anything ever again

Maybe this character creates a machine or project that mirrors the myth of Icarus.
Obviously, it wouldn’t be literally called “Icarus,” but internally ... or retrospectively ... Apollo Engineering might refer to it as an Icarus Event.
A moment where ambition, brilliance, and hubris went too far.
And so they lost the ability to replicate what this Daedalus could do

Whether it’s explicitly a Daedalus-inspired figure or just someone similar,
I think having that kind of character in Apollo Engineering’s lore would add a lot of depth.
Someone who built wonders lacked emotional foresight and ultimately fell from grace.

if its supposed to be more at an outpost, would be good to maybe try having some more 'human base' ambience

The general premise is that (in my own headcannon) AE has sent this expeditionist to the island along with another team. Being on K15, they have an easy time quickly landing and extracting. He's there to retrieve since lost data ever since the island went bust the first time around. The reason he's talking so calmly to someone on their radio is that the individual is under the impression that there's little to no dinosaurs left on the island.

Obviously, this individual finds out the hard way.

This is taking place within the hillside warehouse in K15. Since going back to the area in-game, I do need to make some tweaks to the audio, but it still sells the idea.
