Now, getting to me believing gen 1 aren’t supposed to be long term, they’re weapons, but also living things, so you don’t want them reproducing on their own and you don’t want them living very long because then they can get out and do all sorts of nasty things, so, since gen 1 exist in case something happens to AE, when they’re not being used as weapons like that one instance we know of, maybe they’re just not produced until they’re needed, or they’re held in stasis/hibernation in abandoned (or active) facilities until a sufficient threat has been realized that the complex needs to be cleansed

on stream, i was curious about WHY "Seven"

WhiteFalcon made a really neat observation (making me realise i should probably read up before i start yapping on stream lol)
however
it is quite interesting, whether on purpose or not, that Archive 7 may be another greek mythology reference without me even realising
i brought this up on stream because I was a bit curious on why seven in general
and why not 12? 12 being, of course, a lot more upfront with being "greco-related" in terms of myth.
... it's pretty obvious what 12 means - the 12 Olympians (of course, there are technically some more. But still!)
however, 7 seems to have importance! Especially in regards to AE
- as brought up why WhiteFalcon
that importance being 7 is regardly with Apollo quite importantly, especially in local ancient greek culture
here are some examples:
- in Plut. Sympos. 8., Apollo's date of birth was believed to have been the seventh of the month.
- Another would be the seventh of every month sacrifices were offered to him (hebdomagetês, Aeschyl. Sept. 802; comp. Callim. Hymn. in Del. 250, &c.)
- his festivals usually fell on the seventh of a month.
- he was regarded, by some, as the heptamênaios (i.e. seventh month child)
- the Hebdomagetês title, as said in the 2nd point, can also be connected to another ritual with the fact that at the festivals of Apollo, the procession was led by seven boys and seven maidens (Aeschyl. Sept. 804; Herod. vi. 57; Lobeck, Aglaoph. p. 434)
- apparently this was in a Apollon Cult in sicyonia (southern greece)
- seven boys and seven maidens were sent as suppliants to the river Sythas
this likely guaranteed not the reason why AE would've chosen Archive 7 as the name
it is, though in my opinion, probably why Dondi chose this number for Lore
I.e. it being the most regarded with the actual mythology APOLLO (...ae...)
I still believe there could be 11 other archives (making 12)
but i doubt we'd ever see or hear about them much, or at all.

of course, this is taking in A LOT of assumptions with the importance of both biotrace and EIP
such as, for me, I may presume that no biotrace or EIP (or both) would mean a walking empty carcass

of course, realistically, the biggest contender for this was the TCAM / Lore Hunt
which was neat
I just hope Don knows that we all loved that and want more of it
However, of course, just hoping that similar 'lore hunts' can be expanded upon and the reward being more made for us' (that being, lore peoples interested in lore)
just because that Lore Hunt was made for us - as you needed to know lore to really find out about it/know about it
however, the outcome/the actual reward for doing it was something that didn't benefit 'us' in the slightest
saying that though, it was the first of something of its kind - so a test/trial! Which is very understandable
ideally, i think all of us just hope that we actually get such lore in-game (Evrima) after its almost 5 year uptime /tenure

Of course, we've gotten things here - both hard and soft lore (physical lore and statements from Dondi about lore)
But a lot of these things (basically the large majority of soft lore) have widened the ocean of lore
which is great
However, hasn't really deepened the pool - so to speak.
^this all being about things we've gotten, not the things we know Don has written. Only being just about what we've given
i know the response will always be, and which we do understand, getting the game out is the most important aspect of the game (of course and i do agree)
But it's not out of reach to say it can be very exhausting being here (being in the lore side of things, that is) with basically nothing coming our way.

for EIPs, how foreign was this feeling? If "X" could feel, that is
of course, this comes under the assumption of The Replicator's sentience
