because the whole aspect of the 'recent' Diabloceratops File Recovery video is that they're injecting dinos into the wild
and we know this isn't a relatively simple / cheap job
because it shows that they're working on their diets and frequently editing the dibble genome

For Gen 2's consciousness and origin, we understand little, aside from that they are or resemble humans, possibly as also a product of the replicator, as the replicator is responsible for creating new life. Gen 2, possible may be a way to have human workers that has a trackable biotraces to ensure that they do not get ruthlessly hunted.

Nevertheless, if Gen 2's were to be replicated, would they be replicated by retaining their prior memories? Or would they just be expendable labour. With no recollection.

The way I would see it, for easier understanding, if you was Person 1A (1 = Genetic Sequence ||Possibly Biotrace? Or so I'd like to think||) ( A = The Original Consciousness )

As Person 1A, and you die, you're dead and you cease to live, you do not get to experience any experiences of the clones thereafter you.

As Person 1B, you are able to recollect all the previous memories and knowledge as Person1A as though you was that person, however, but when you die, you also do not get to experience the experiences of the next Person, Person1C and so on.

In itself, each iteration of Person 1 is biologically the exact copy as each other, Each iteration builds off of each other through memory implants. AE could capitalise off of having a few, but many of the same individual hire with questionable morality and ethicality.

If they did retain their memories, do they retain the memories from where Person A left off of, or do they retain the memories of whatever the last iteration had? Assuming that whatever was left of said iteration was intact.

Furthermore, if consciousness is retained after replication, what would make the existence of Gen 1 evermore terrifying is complicated, but it depends on a few things that we dont have exact answers to.

Firstly would be to assume that the original consciousness of individual Lifeforms that were created via replication use the consciousness of a previously existing human.

Secondly would be to assume that consciousness is separate from the animalistic behaviours, as putting my own consciousness into an Orca would still allow to me to acknowledge my past as a Human, however, from the point of existing as an Orca, I have the desire to do Orca things.

Therefore, when you take a lifeform that has never existed, and has the utmost horrific biology, such as the Gen 1, a failed abomination meant to be a Gen 2, only God & Dondi knows what kind of twisted natural desires that such beats like Gen 1 could ever have.

Where it becomes more unsettling is if we assume everything I just said in this message to be true, then knowing that a Gen 1 that went through replication, and has had a previously human consciousness, it is simply tragic and horrifying to know that somebody is limited at the desires of a Gen 1, despite their previously very human and civilised consciousness in the back of their mind.

Iterative Replication would be the situation where an EIP retains memories or attributes from prior replications

Noniterative Replication would be a situation where an EIP is reset per se, and returned to a baseline state between replications

I'd lean toward the iterative situation myself, if only because it mimics player experiences while playing the game

I do think there'd be more reliance on the Dam to power generators since they can run continuously for decades with no up-keep.
Geothermal is a terrible idea to use for relying as a backup source of energy

Now of course we have to realize that there will be some biases here and there especially with myself. but I think we have to just look at two sides of this opinion that there is either more chances of cyber attacks versus more chances of physical attacks.

So therefore it is only necessary that we have to understand what we mean by cyber versus physical attacks upon Apollo engineering sites like Gateway.
So how do we define cyber attacks?
I would start by saying that what would specifically count as a cyber attack has to be externally done therefore, for example, an attack on the digital architecture within Gateway or any other sites related to Apollo Engineering would not count as, purely, a cyber attack
This is in contrast to a physical attack which would specifically relate to a person, persons or company etc that have gone to any facility or any site and has physically damaged AE property.
Which means if a company goes to Apollo engineering and attacks TOMB, seeing as TOMB could be a bunch of servers (containing EIPs) although we do know it has a physical location, then eradicating too is still a physical attack because they had to go to it but it relates to the Cyber world, Seeing as in this context it is likely servers hence digital.

Of course we have to recognize that TOMB is a part of The Replicator -> its subsystems.
Therefore the replicator is practically a network of systems, and therefore it is a network of digital systems.
I personally believe, and this is where biases come in, that Apollo engineering do not utilise the very poor and terrible architecture of the World Wide Web and the internet — all things created quite terribly in the 80s, prone to many attacks especially during the 90s and 2000s; Which if anything is likely when AE has done a lot of physical stuff around these sites. If anything they might likely have used the internet very early on and realized how many hacking and data breaches there have been during this time then transported to their own network systems.

I believe Apollo engineering has a lot of money, and we can see this with the atrium. ie a big slab of concrete that basically is the size of a suburb / small city. It is quite likely therefore that their network system is very very tightly knit and interconnected and not located in some generic city in the middle of a recognized official state / country. Which is what we typically see with many things relating to the modern internet.
Therefore I believe their network system is very closed and only likely interconnected throughout their own facilities. likely having long data cables in between the islands likely or just going to Olympus we don't really know I suppose but I suppose we could include a bit of Clarkes third law potentially.

And this is where I believe they have more physical attacks than cyber attacks in this regard hence why it was necessary to define the two.
Of course we can see actual physical destruction but we can also likely deduce that there were physical digital / cyber attacks that were taken upon these facilities rather than in the basement of someone's house in the middle of a generic country like the US.

I hope this makes sense and tries to give a bit more context to how I see the context of the eradication of TOMB, which if anything was quite likely done by some rival companies or rival peoples — as inferred by one of the replies by Dondi, as he didn't deny that it was a rival company, he just said the word that from the question was not correct, which then is where we got “eradicated” from. #isle-lore-theories message
