It's a fairly common trope at least with media that I regularly consume (fromsoft games lol)

And on top of that, somewhere in the heart of some ocean, they have an isle where not only nature is being designed and kept unbothered in a perfectly idealized Eden garden at first glance, but they might be working on the key to one's mental immortality through the downloading of one's consciousness.

I'm telling you, if I were some terminally ill guy but with a decent enough curriculum and seeing how the rest of the world is under a constant threat of ending as we know it due to climate change and politicians of the most powerful countries, or most of the population is just poisoned by a myriad of chemical substances and microplastics; I'd sign the in without a doubt and work for a company who is working on the tools to create/maintain life and also be capable of recreating a "pure" world anew

i have around 500 plays of the album now, which makes me very qualified (i'm also getting a degree in sound design and engineering 😔 )
but i am very 50/50 on the album

ALL the "exploration" songs are top tier for proper gameplay ambience, as they don't really obstruct, in the mix that is, too much, eating away at every frequency, nor do they overly complicate the actual texture (harmonic, rhythmic and melodic layering, i.e. not too many instruments) of the pieces
I am also intrigued how the more 'popular' motif that Anthony plays within the album (I need to make a tally of the tracks though) is the Acts of God motif

But the isle really (in my opinion) needs more ambient songs like the exploration songs
something like hallucinations is very 50/50 (where some of it is more ambient, but then a strong melody comes into play which... unless you'd make it so it is EQed or automated down? ... which just, in terms of gameplay, becomes very distracting)
that distracting nature is one big reason why a good portion of people just often opt into the music setting.
For someone like me, it just makes it way harder to hear and takes my mind semi-off things

Then, personally, i wouldn't even add songs like Lineage Displacement (AS MUCH as it is a lore reference) or Migration as they're both overly dramatic and too theatrical (like Welcome to the Isle)
