It's certainly an aspect Don has played on or might play on with The Isle
especially with this strong sense of theology within Isle due to its Hellenic presence, plus a tiny (mostly Lore Fan conspiracies) things being akin to Abrahamic religions

Sure, they might not be typical / straightforward humans- as in, they likely didn't have a true parent; albeit, they might have a DNA donor akin to Jango Fett

However, truly, traps are a terrible idea due to the nature of the game; that being "Multiplayer Survival"
I'm sure traps will be made in mods for the funny goofs
but, it's an innately terrible idea that would be heightened via the hardcore survival nature of the game- you die, you lose everything

Not only can you now die from getting shot by a human very easily
and pretty quickly by a bigger/strong dinosaur
or just unluckily by falling off a cliff

but now you can be painfully (in reference to time) be kept in a cage to just exist or die by the hands of the person.
And sure, you could have it autokill you (your body turns into an AI for the person who trapped/caged you)
but that just adds on the list of hardcore deaths that just make the game more and more tedious
