Ok if I remember correctly gateway was mentioned to basically be a in-between to transfer assets between locals including purgatory which would make scene with the more prevalent human structures like the rail system I think that will also play into what the humans are doing probably trying to get gateway back in control do to it being a big part of what ever they are doing which later down the line maybe purgatory or other sites being new maps with purgatory maybe showing more lore and maybe info on things like Colossus and matriarch if they still cannon
