you can see that other sharp edges that are subject to aerodynamic heating are not glowing yellow
And in closer shots you can see how the inside glowy bits billow like fire and not like glowing hot steel

Air that goes into the engine bay can't easily get back out again. Air that hits, say, the grid fins, can flow around or through them.
So it would make sense to get more 1000 K air lingering in the engine bay transferring heat, though maybe there was fire from venting methane too
