I highly advise you to update your iOS since the mic/sound issue was a general thing with IOS 13.

The mic works perfectly in such apps as it’s going to use 1 sound channel at a time, but when using PUBGM and trying to use your mic headset it will use 1 sound channel for mic and 1 sound channel for the sound, Which will make the sound be mono not stereo as stereo needs the 2 channels to work.

I don’t know how it used to work with you previously but this is the accurate explanation for the issue. It could have been fixed with ios 16 so please update and try.
