I have spend approx. 10 hours opening the new Finland map. Not much hunting so far. -- Soon to come.
My opinion is that the Finland map totally outperform all the other COTW maps. It for sure make sense, as the COTW team has accumulated all the excellence obtained since 2017 - in the new map.
The second point is that EW / Avalanche is a Scandinavian founded enterprise. It make sense to build on a map focusing on Scandinavian wildlife, hiking, nature and culture.
Thanks COTW team -- it is great. - I am Scandinavian myself.
My opinion is that you have done the the best map so far.

I am a casual user of the game, I only really jump on to experience the scenery and shoot some poor beasties once in a while, so it has not been a major impact on my game play. I'm sure you hard and fast players have come to problems faster than I have. Sorry to hear it, I'm sure the guys will fix it as soon as possible.

All the maps are 8x8km. However, topography, type and density of vegetation, outpost spacing, how much area is actually accessible, how many animals are on the map, etc. can all make certain maps feel bigger or smaller than others

Here's an out of bounds meme setup for ducks and geese (at the lighthouse). Idk if anyone else has posted the same thing here, but I'll send this anyway.
There's a fence that you can't climb over or move around, so I placed a tent to the other side and fast traveled. You can't place a float blind on the water there, you'll get the beaver message if you try. However you can climb on the top of the lighthouse and shoot the geese from there
I didn't dare to put the decoys in the water, because I might never get them back if I do, since the water is like 10m deep 😂

Yeah I see that but some of them have albino or melanistic as skins and those are usually incredibly rare but that chart lists them as rare while the other animals that have melanistic or albino are listed as very rare so ducks are just easier to get rare skins of?

With the content and the missions in the Finland map you have once and for all stated that COTW - from at development standpoint not move towards a FPS like game, -- but remain a hunting simulation "game". -- Thank you for that. Highly appreciated.
Secondly-- a suggestion. We see SAAB and Volvo vehicles in the map. Why not use these (DLS add on?) as possible mobile outpost to move around with -on the maps main roads.
I have had one SAAB turbo (250 hp, > 400 NM;) myself years back. -- A great car, the best I have ever had. They e.g. pruduced SAAB as well in Findland, -- among others the one I had. ---- Make something like that moving and alive in the maps as well? Would be powerful

I enjoyed these story missions a lot. For me they don’t require anything crazy and such, a little walk, some dialogue and a few things sprinkled in here and there was really nice. I prefer that over playing private investigator.

nah i think COTW is fine...they just need to tighten up a few things and overall its a smooth experience....and release theAngler on the new engine right? so they will practice with new engine with theAngler and then COTW2 possible way down the road for new engine
