But again i know jaxy said “WERE or what”, so might be on another reserve entirely, it is a waterfowl rework and (as far as i know) mallard’s were the first waterfowl species to be added, and they there not telling us what the GO is, so to actually uncover it, it should be pretty esey to hunt. Other wise well only find it in like 2 years

(There is like 80 species and GO mostly spawn around 1k kills so that is 80 000+ kills to find it and only 6000 people in discord, so every one needs to shoot at least 12 animals of each species to find it, and thats just males, if its a predator or bird it could be female aswell, so its gonna be something thats easy to grind)

Honestly if I was a Dev... we would have had bird trained dogs (to charge at them and spook them into the air), Mink to hunt rabbits and added Nutria (added to Miss.), Duck retrieving dogs, silent pointer training for dogs, more breeds of dogs, Lynx show promise to being able to be trained however they're ravenous small game hunters.

All ducks go and migrate so you can hunt all duck species without moving to different location. Same is with geese and all other waterfowl.

OK here me out. i think the new great one is a fallow deer. the only two trends that has been kept between the GO so far is that they make diamond in the 250's. fallow makes diamond in the 250's and was really wanted. it is also on a free map which is the same with the whitetail on Layton and the red deer on Hersh. we would then have 2 GO on one map in a few places. what are your thoughts. I still would love to see all the ducks get to be GO and have a band on there leg that you cant see until you pick it up so that it is harder to see and a surprise.

No I know that wasn't your point I was just pointing out that decoys can be placed anywhere now, plus i believe they mentioned that different ducks would mix with eachother since some of the species do mix with eachother and have the same or overlapping home ranges irl, second off it's a game and while yeah it might not be up to your standard it was the best way for them to manage Performance issues, and I think that one tiny possible draw back isn't really all that terrible considering how good the rest of the rework looks + we don't even really know fully how everything works just yet, there's no need to get rude I was just pointing something out .

Plus ducks irl, have preffered home ranges where you will find them more often when hunting, and it varys species to species, and depending on season and what they are using that area for (nesting, migration rest, etc)

A: is it practical to do so given the limitations of the system we have?
B: does it offer a measurable improvement to gameplay?
C: if you answered “Yes” to B, is said improvement worth the time and effort put into it?

Personally I really enjoyed the build up to the Mississippi release more. Having the great one update a month before, gave everyone something to do before the new map and also allowed for in game hints which is way better than picture clues. It also made the release much more exciting rather than having the map revealed and then waiting 2 months for release. I know these are my opinions but I hope they change it back for the December release

The main reason they have so many species on Finland is because 2/3 of them are small things like ducks. A duck has much less texture and model to render compared to a bison that weighs a literal ton, so smaller animals don’t affect performance as much

How I think the Great Ones will be done: the animals that are mostly famous to hunt in North America will have a lot bigger then a diamond rack for scoring great one, and animals that are mostly famous to hunt in Europe, will have a diamond size rack but will look majestic
