Realistic movements, using the wind to land, the flocks not being perfect triangles but spontaneous groups of birds flying at different speeds. Not to mention the various amount of callers and decoys and even the water blind. This will be my favourite map, favourite update and favourite thing to do in hunter call of the wild.

I will be playing the game non stop as soon as this map comes out

For me hunter cotw has been a little boring over the past few months but now it will definitely be my most played game

The rework showcase today was quite the insight on what appears to be an incredible change for cotw

Like, this isn’t just a thing for one map. Think about the potential for future maps to now have a few species of waterfowl with those new mechanics

There’s a real significant positive change to the game overall on a side that it was kinda lacking- now it looks like this could be a main drawing feature for a lot of people- because let’s face it, waterfowl hunting is fun, at least to most people!

It’ll definitely be interesting to see if older maps get new species- compare medved and revontuli for number of species. Medved has 6, only two of which are now unique to the map (reindeer and musk deer) whereas now we have revontuli with 19 species on one map. Maybe we could see animals added to maps with such low species numbers in future

Got the shotgun sight finally and I gotta say for someone who’s on Xbox it’s sooo much easier to drop geese, iron sights were hard to navigate as they were really jittery and not stable, with the scope is much much smoother.

The only reason that's a possibility is because other hunting games are adding species EW has said "will probably never come to the game"

Class 10 doesn't have to be endangered species ... we can have Hippos and Giraffes as class 10 in second Africa map, both of them are legal to hunt and are more of in the wild then lions ... and we can also have new not class 10 animals too with second Africa map such as Nile Crocodiles, Zebras, Greater Kudus and more

All reserves are basically free, this is much better than classic was, you can kill all the animals in the game just by buying the base which is not that expensive

I truly think EW nailed it with the economic part of COTW because even when you can basically play most maps for free people still want to buy em

Maybe I don't get your point, but this isnt a free to play game. Its a pretty common business model for most video games. In fact I would argue that EW's model is light years better than most developers/publishers. They constantly update the base game, they do very well to keep most content updates out of paywalls (meaning you have to buy dlc to play it) and they give you an option through multiplayer to still play any content in the game if you don't want to spend your money on the dlc. I am quite confused how there could be tension towards EW about this model. They could easily become EA and make you buy microtransactions for weapons/equipment/species. Their model is profitable while being player focused.

I strongly disagree with this. If they make the base game free then it becomes a classic model - which is perfectly great for players who want or like that experience. I am very glad they have an option that doesnt involve the microtransaction model.

If ever you need to compare this games economic model... just take a look at EA. If this game was made by EA... you would have to pay for every animal individually... every animal skin variation individually... every map... every large item in game (meaning tents/tripods/etc would cost you real money for each one)... you would pay for every weapon... you might even pay for better ammo... you would have to pay for every lodge each time you made one... you'd be paying many many times the amount EW asks.

I know how EA will microtransaction you into poverty because I used to make/develop content/code for their games... Sims 3 was at first supposed to be a game that only cost a couple hundred dollars. They changed their financial head/team a few times and now it's a few thousand dollars (even as old as it is today).
