Yeah the old males that are no longer fertile are the ones hunted- the money from the hunt goes back into the reserve which pays for anti poaching bc obviously they don’t want to see loads of animals indiscriminately killed (meaning females, young etc). The meat is ALWAYS used, it goes back into the villages. I’ve seen some pretty epic photo/video timelapses showing hundreds of local people coming to get meat which is great. So basically the money then protects the reserve, which protects elephants bc they want them to grow, breed and mature

I did some research about the New Gourd clue on Layton and at first I couldn’t pin it to an exact location. But then I remembered the sprite cans and Sprite is a soda made out of Lemon and Lime and so I started digging again and found that there is a fruit called Lemonime and it is used to make sprite in The UK,Australia,and New Zealand and Cidar in Korea and Japan. It also looks like a Gourd according to the internet. While the UK doesn’t seem like a good hunting zone and we just got a New Zealand map this leaves my final beliefs to be Australia,Korea, or Japan(sorry everyone that was hoping for another Africa map) but let’s be honest we all wanted an Australia map and this new map may finally be it!

Just realized that the standard pattern of maps is warm climate -> cool climate -> warm climate
If that pattern holds like it has since we've started getting maps, then it's not going to be Africa or Australia as they're both hot climates
Going off of the gourd theory all that leaves is Korea, Japan, and the UK, the coolest of which in terms of climate I believe is the UK
