diamond just relates to trophy score. trophy scores are capped in levels but a level 4 can move up to level 5 and some level 4s can make diamond rarely! people will have a lot of diamonds popping up rn cos initial spawns and all that!

This isn't because it's a funny number but the only thing I am "grinding" (more like intensively hunting) is red grouse, I have down 69 already and there's more to come

You shouldn't be expecting a g1 after 800 kills, my first moose took over 6k, 4k for my whitetail, 400 something for my fallow deer and ≈1200 for my wolves. Still no bear

I used to actually grind willow ptarmigan with tents and hides and all for that rare that looked like a red grouse before they added them

It's all rng, you will see more people getting them at 50 then at 4000 because the far majority has given up by then. You can definitely get a g1 at 50 however I do know of a cupple people who have "deflated" there numbers for more attention

If you wanna shoot flock game birds like red grouse, black grouse or pheasant (if you shoot the females) I wouldn't reccomend it. If you wanna go for woodcock, capercaillie, mink it marten it's decent because it shoots very fast with little recoil

I had the same problem, but I just loaded back into the game this morning and I went near the "haggis" and there was actually a track near the tree and after I checked that track, the mission worked and I could spot the "haggis" and complete it.
