I can confirm that the Brown Bear can be found all over the Finland map. Same goes for Canada Goose, Lynx, Moose and Hares.
The bear drinks water from 20.00-00.00 (eight PM to midnight). Try to scout small-medium lakes in this window of time.
the bear mentioned in the main mission is believed to not exist.

Sounds have been all wacky for me since finland. I’ll hear a sound of like a deer but it will sound like it’s in the sky and I’ll track it and it will say ptarmigan or something. Or a sound will play with no marker to track. Plus yeah locating the birds based on sound is tricky. They sound way higher up than the really are so you’ll look up in the trees and they will be like flying close to the ground.

Ive gotten so many silvers it isnt funny anymore. lol. Those two and the Raccoon Dog are the last three. The Coon Dog I should be able to get easily.

@midnight moon for what purpose? you know where the animals are and you can lure them with callers and scents is that really the best idea you can give for improvement. No wonder games are so lazily created and so rarely fun if that's the kind of feedback devs receive from their playerbase. There is nothing in this game that I can't go outside and do myself even the animals available are ones I could easily hunt irl. It's a supposed simulator but why is that exclusive from fun and depth? Bloody trial cameras lol the animals don't even go on the trails much.

He flies off to the left like your arrow shows, but died (according to map getting purple'd) before he could have made it over the lake. No goose in the lake so I suspect he was one of the geese that changed direction and flew above and to the left.

After spending approx. 100 hours on the COTW Finland map. I judge the map as the best map in COTW. The map summarises the excellence the COTW dev. et. al. team has obtained throughout the years - since the release of COTW.
Great map - although there are bugs in the SW, --- it will be very difficult for any possible competitors to match the hunting simulation mechanics -- obviously accumulated in COTW.
Best of all in the Finland map is the spread of animals spawns within the map. -- I see the map as being focused on travelling - moving around in the map - and on virtual hunting simulation. Opposed to grinding!

Its not a bug tho its a saving issue, when the game take 5-10 seconds to auto save and you get logged out or shut down you system during it, it could cause a issue with saves

There really is no "best" rifle at everything but I can give good rifles for certain classes

the .300 is the best large game rifle by far (7-9)
m1 and the .308 AR are two really great semi-auto medium game rifles although they do struggle with higher classes (4-8)
.243 is the best rifle for class 2-3 animals, although the mosin is great at class 3+
virant .22 is a great class 1 rifle
