So my theory is that EW has been working on fixing the animals that are overwhelming unsymmetrical and that score too estimate when rare

The basis for my theory is that recently we have been seeing that whitetail haven’t been scoring top estimate and they have been being symmetrical, and as of today I have seen several rare red deer that were symmetrical, I can’t confirm if they scored top estimate or not tho

I also had a theory that the species that were affected by the bug that caused uneven rares and top estimate scoring only affected the larger scoring animals of that species

I’ve seen 2-3 different racks for level 6 stags, meaning there ain’t that many possible combos for the given rack it has, whereas level 9s have upwards of 5 with different variations of those racks, giving more possibilities

Perhaps it just chooses at random what combo it’ll be and you just gotta hope it lands on a symmetrical combo

I have a theory kicking around in the back of my mind

I have absolutely no way to determine whether it’s true or not but it sounds like something that’s actually true
The theory itself is that each player has their own multiplier for rare, diamond and GO spawn rates

Like, for example, @full cave how many kills are you at and how many GOs are you at?

I don’t know for certain how many kills I’m at. It could be as low as 18k and it could be as high as 29k, but I have 14 GO red deer

Let’s take the average of that, 21.5k
That means you have a GO every 1535 kills

Your GO multiplier would be higher than mine, because mine’s at about 1/5689

Each person has their own personal multiplier applied to a base spawn rate of, in this example, 1/5000

And with each update this could be changed, with each game reset it’s changed, etc

Ain’t the most intricate theory out there but it’s pretty believable

My theory is that certain rares have different spawn rates, but they all fall under certain categorizations. For example, red deer have 3 accepted rare fur types which are piebald, albino, and mela. Piebald would be classified as a rare while albino and mela are classified as very rare. I think that they also have a 3rd very rare fur type which is Fabled Spotted. Following this logic i think that when someone hits the spawn for a very rare the game then randomly selects between mela, albino, and Fabled Spotted to see which on spawns in. This would somewhat explain why some people see much high numbers of GOs and other see higher numbers of mela and albinos

Looks like a lot of skipping around zones full of 3s. Finding the odd low level 2 here and there. My exterior zones still have some that need to be shot down to 1s.

I will say this though. It is looking to shape up into the most insane whitetail grind. Once I rotate on these 3s, it will be a factory.

That’s something I think people don’t really understand about herd management. It’s the exact reason I do it. I have been doing it for months. Proven. Stack max level animals as many as you can to shoot the rest down to low levels.

Kinda, my initial theory was that they “fixed” red deer. I thought that since rare whitetail were starting to pop up as symmetrical and not scoring top est that red deer would as well. We have seen a few symmetrical rares from red deer recently which is way more than normal, but I don’t think they’ve been fixed

I think stacking 9s works in the opposite way of stacking low levels. Stacking low levels gets more max levels, stacking max levels gets more low levels
