Does anyone know if there's a max number of drink zones for whitetail on Layton? I stopped my great one grind a few months back and when I came back the other day I seen that there has been a population reset and everything has changed with whitetail. I've found 55 drink zones so far, but I've been doing runs after I thought I had all my drink zones and I've had 5+ zones go down to one buck and the rest being doe's. I feel like I've found all my drink zones, but I have no idea why my zones would be messing up if so. I'd assume I haven't found all of them if that keeps happening, but I can't see there being much more than 55 drink zones on the left side of the map.

Prepare for a lengthy explanation

Herd management revolves around keeping a large number of low level males on your map to force the game to balance out the levels of the species on the map. This method involves not shooting any minimum weight male animals during your grind, this causes the game to compensate for this by spawning in generally higher level animals as a result of this, in theory leading to more max level animals spawning and as such giving you more diamond animals.
To start, you’ll need to shoot anything higher than a minimum weight on your map. So, for example, any level 5-9 red deer on your map. This builds up an abundance of level 2-4 red deer on your map. The number of which doesn’t really matter as long as you have a good amount on your map. Then keep doing that until you see level 7-9s spawning more frequently.
Do not shoot the minimum weights unless you want to start this process over. Shooting the min. weights will mess up the spawns and it’ll result in lower levels spawning more frequently again.
