So I'm definitely a lurker but I wanted to share these. I'm not done as I still have a gemsbok, leopard, and three African wild dogs to make. But since I'm about half there I figured why not. I crochet and my dad (hunter, loves going to Africa) asked me for some animals to give his friends. Here I made a cape buffalo, roan antelope, sable antelope, and moose. The buff and antelope have wire to get the curve, they are all weighted so they can sit on a desk or something. I only had to completely change the pattern I had to accomodate roan and sable markings. Also completely reworked the moose antlers so they would be paddles.

The base patterns are from "Edward's Menagerie" however I found some parts incomplete and had to fix that. There isn't a lot of color change so I had to do the color work myself/figure that out. The antlers that the pattern had for a moose looked like they belonged on a white tail or muley. Little things. Also the original shoulders that the pattern makes are very slim and gives the body a pear shape...so I changed that too lol. I actually have to also heavily modify a pattern to create Rocky the Flying Squirrel for my dad as well as he wants it to sit on his bull moose mount.

Ooh Edward’s menagerie is awesome. I have their monster book as well. They make great bases! You did amazing, each one very clearly represents the animal they’re supposed to, and making changes to existing patterns can be tough
