Hey cool man. Ifc there is positives and negatives of living in south africa. But i love the coutry. I love the north eastern region the most for its savannas, bush and wildlife diversity.

But the flower coast might earn a visit too sometime. And the american mid-west looking central country was a suprise to me alltogether. I went from johannesburg up to the park. Trugh the mountains following the blyde river.

Me too and yes completely true. I had to get used to the remnants of segragation. Parts dutch, parts english others native. Kinda wild. And most of the time afrikaans was quite understandable to me as a dutch person. Depends on how thick the accent is thoh.

I went out there on vacation technically. It turned into a bit of a buisniss venture for me. Learning as much as i can for potential job opertunities and general living confitions / potential. I was suprised by the fact you are allowed to take all the time in the world to build your house in some areas. I i loved the whole 1980’s infrastructure in most smaller towns. I cpuld see myself getting a polot of land and build my dream house (nothing too fancy) and compound over 5 years time or so. Using maybe some sorta savings fund or digital nomad income.

We were walking down a small road next to the gate leading to the site of the idol "bisarjan". Yes, I wanted a good photo of a jackal which I could submit for young wildlife photographer of the year. Suddenly my uncle shone his torch and we saw glowing eyes in the distance. I told him to turn it off. We got a bit closer. I cranked up my ISO to 4000 to make sure I get a crisp photo with a high shutterspeed. The higher shutterspeed would make up for brightness. Then he turned on his absolutely ridiculously bright torch and I saw the jackal sitting. But for some reason, my camera absolutely wouldn't focus. We were about to leave when he turned it on again and I saw him peeking out of the paddy. I got this photo at 4000 ISO and a shutterspeed of 1/3200!!
