I have a question regarding Diamond Red Deer. Do they have to be Legendary in order to become Diamonds?
I just got a Myth and Hard. The Myth was a Gold, the Hard only a Silver.

Or were they "nerfed" back when The Great One was introduced?

.300 magnum is a sick 7-9 weapon, but it creates issues with your build if you wanna cover everything. If you don't care for things that are 3 or less you can't just run .300 mangum and Mosin (Solokhin) for 3-7

If you have the missisipi map too, you can throw in the .22 hornet to cover 1-2 class animals and be solid

Perfect, then to finish the 9 class weapons either go for the 7MM, which is solid but shoots only once per reload or the .300 Mangum which has 4 bullets and a solid fire rate, it's better for tagging, 7MM is better for one taps.

Yea, start with guns and bullets and then move on to extra stuff, first aid kits if you play on maps where you get hunted. Upgrade your binoculars whenever you can, later on you'll try different skills/perks etc. and each retalent costs a lot of money, extra tents are nice to have when exploring/setting up places you like to visit a lot.

Overall the game will become more and more "demanding" money wise the more you understand the game and/or try to fit it to your playstyle, so it's never bad to have money in the bank.

The valley north of dinosaur hill is a decent area to spot things from mid-morning on. Go up by the lookout point there and start glassing and you'll eventually find something. The lake to the northwest of there is a pretty busy spot. On my map they have a rest area north of that lake a ways up the mountain.

For weapons I'd recommend weapon pack 2 as you get a .45 colt and the mosin which is also a solid weapon

Tents are also amazing

The ATV is nice for unlocking outposts

Just don't buy the high tech pack as the bow rangefinder sight is inaccurate and the 1-4x is simply not very useful

I'd also avoid weapon pack 3 (the air rifle is bad, so is the 22lr pistol and you already have the M1 so no need for the .30-06 Eckers) and if you hunt geese then pack 1 is nice because you get two 22LR rifles which have 10 bullets each

the Rangemaster is just like the 7mm but more powerful. The only reason the 7mm would be better for big game is if you want to carry it along for classes 4-6 as well

Yea, I'm always judging with flexibility being a big factor for weapons. The more things you can cover, the less weapons you need, thus you have more space to not use some talents/weapons/bags etc. If we went for power only King 470DB is sick for 9s, but it has every possible downside. From weight, to range, accuracy, recoil, to sights, to ammo prices etc.

When you are hardcore great one grinding you don't pick up many kills to save time so you can kill 20,000 animals and only pick up 300

it can be used at ranges up to 200m, I personally am comfortable with shooting 150m, and it has a spook radius of a bit more than a bow and less than a crossbow, and then it’s pretty powerful too, it can take out entire herds of deer of you know what you’re doing, it is very good, unless you want range, then it doesn’t fit you, but that doesn’t make it inferior to other weapons

as a new player i like going for bears and moose and deer which one do u think can fit me i like the fact that the 7mm has long range and is the penetration good for moose?

for Moose you can definitely take them down with the 7mm, but if you want to take them down quickly with the 7mm, heart or neckbone is what you should aim for, but seeing as you’re a beginner, going for the lungs and tracking a bit might be the best, for deer the 7mm is very powerful and will faceplant most deer when shooting them in the lungs and for bear it’s alright when shooting in the lungs, they’ll run a bit but not too far.
