file corruptions can and do happen, but they are extremely rare nowadays (it is impossible to address every cause of file corruption, as some may have nothing to do with the game). i still recommend keeping a backup just in case. after all, you can never be too careful

What about population resets? Have the AI gotten better or is that still a thing when hunting specific animals

AI seems to have largely stayed the same, if a bit more consistent

in the update a couple weeks ago, four maps got complete population resets and redistributions (including some zone time changes) to improve performance. the maps in question are vurhonga, cuatro, rancho, and mississippi

I had an issue where my maps would just full on die unless I reset it at least once a week

Yup. In-game, the .308 and .30-06 are about equal in power, tho the .308 has less recoil than the M1 (and also people just love their AR’s)

You might like the .22H that comes with Mississippi. It’s great for maps that have class 1 and 2, but not 3. That way, you don’t need to carry one rifle for class 1 and a separate rifle for class 2

Mississipi looks very interesting but not very good reviews when it comes to the gator bugs

A lot of that is either overblown or a misunderstanding of how they work

If a gator dies while it’s sitting deep enough underwater, it’s not coming back up (this is meant to replicate when a gator drowns and stays at the bottom of the water). So you need to kill them quickly, which can be tough to do since those things are basically tanks with legs. Thankfully, they do provide one more option to do that. Gators are the only non-class 1 animal where you can shoot them in the face (read: brain) and not ruin the trophy (brainshots are actually a recommended tactic to dispatch gators IRL)

So ive been Great One grinding on Te Awaora for a long time now (since the g1 red deer released) and today I finished a run and exited to main menu and reloaded the game to set my spawns back, after doing that i changed time and went to my first zone, I then checked the first zone and see a dead deer, I thought I had just forgotten to actually restart the game so I did it again and it still showed up as a dead deer but in a different position, I then completely shut down the game and relaunched it and it still showed up as a dead deer. I then went up to claim it to make sure the dead red deer great one bug isnt a thing still, I picked it up and it was a level 5 I had shot at the beginning of the original run. I then checked my other zones and found 2 more dead deer that were killed at the end of the original run. None of my other friends have experienced this bug before either. (I play on xbox) TLDR; There are dead deer showing up on my Te Awaroa that shouldnt be dead

Ok so I'm working on a setup with those 3 and I lack something for class 2 animals i.e. red foxes and some occasional musks, coyotes. which rifle you'd suggest? I need something to just clean kill foxes when hit on a decent spot and can probably afford some 150 or even 300 range shots.

If you have Mississippi Acres Preserve, you can run with .300 for 7-9, Mosin for 3-7 and Kullman .22H for 1-2 and be in such a good place. But i'm broke atm. So I made a budget build. 😛

Plus I'd still run a shotgun for birds and rabbits anyway, so I don't lose much if anythin
