Is there a problem with the accuracy on guns coz I had a giant diamond sika shot it in the lungs and it ended up being a headshot and all the shots I take always end up really high from where I aimed? Could somebody tell me if it’s a bug with weapons accuracy

It was a bronside shot and it ended up being in the skull when I aimed at the lungs

And it was about 280m away I was zero at 300m

When you fast travel to it, you make the sound equal to placing it, so it will spook anything in about 250 yds. So either get there before the animals do, or put it 250 yds away from the stand. (I usually prefer the first one)

I'm at that point in the game where one of the things I love most about the .300 is that it is listed alphabetically near the top of my weapons list

I have installed and played on 4 maps no problem but tried to get Parque Fernando last night and it says it’s installed on my Xbox but when I go into the game it still says I need to buy it. I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled everything one at a time and still no good.

In practice, this can cause a whole host of issues

Geese are the only birds that need specific setup to even get them down to shoot. Ducks can be found around water and you can hunt them without any equipment at all.

Scent lures have always been a bit tricky. They do work but compared to callers there isn't really reason to use them. Effect isn't that much bigger, animals come from downwind so if you're not positioned properly they will flee before you get to take a shot.

It depends... Some animals are difficult to hunt during the day because they only drink at night... finding a large number of feeding or resting spots can be difficult, especially if it's a more solitary animal (like most predators). So for, example, coyote and black bear on Layton, it's hard to hunt them in large numbers during the day. That said, it really depends on whether you enjoy the challenge or not. The hi-tech DLC with the night vision binocs/scope made a big difference for me, but it's still not my favorite thing.

For Vurhonga, I plan on doing some night hunting to get a diamond Kudu eventually, but otherwise, I hunt during the day.

if you fast travel between shooting an animal and getting to its body it will often despawn. Once you shoot something ,fast traveling creates a risk the body will disappear

their drink time is 6:30 to 8 iirc, and they have a rest time in the rest of the morning

so you can absolutely spot them during the day

the smoler predators are the ones that tend to be more active at night, specifically the Eurasian Lynx, Red Fox, and Coyote

Oh boy, Tents are a good one, they add to ease of play. There are some great weapons packs, as well... the Weapon Pack 1 adds a .22 long rifle, which is great for shooting ducks/rabbits, especially early on when you don't have birdshot unlocked. Otherwise, you could look at a DLC that gives a high-powered weapon, to take animals you can't with the .243. The Yukon map is a great DLC that comes with the .300 Canning (which can be used to harvest elk/moose/bison).

Smoking Barrels imho. The .50 cal muzzleloader is OP on moose and elk and certainly in deer too. And the M-1 is one of the best rifles in game

Personally, I'd go with the Smoking Barrels pack. The M1 is great for classes 4-6 (deer) and the muzzleloader is super fun to use and takes down elk and moose quick.

Hunting pressure is left when you kill an animal. If you have a zone there, killing more than three animal will delete it

Using tripods, tree stands, etc, can help you by lessening the pressure there allowing you to kill more animals in the area. I think it’s like 15 you can kill in a tripod before the zone deletes vs the original three

But lung shots are the one of the most ethical shots quick to die and pretty easy to hit

Brain shots are easy to miss and either you completely missed you know have a deer with new ear piercings or you have one without a bottom jaw or nose
Neck shot are hard to hit and you most of Time end up either just hitting the edge of a vertebra or something not as important in the neck so the animal suffers for a long time
Spine shots actually technically most of the time just paralyzes the animal and then has to be dispatched by other method or shot again so lung shots are the best or heart shots
