Btw i ended up killing my diamond brown bear with the M1 because I did not have the .300 on me at the time (it makes more sense in context btw). Only managed to get single lung, but it worked. Would I ever do it again? Probably not.

Just beware of the long reload tho. By the time you’ve reloaded the hudzik, the animals will have had time to grab a cup of joe and take a dump

I think some of the weapon pack guns, for example .300, needs a weapon score

So if the score isn't enough, you need to get the score up

Weapon pack weapons can be unlocked as soon as you buy the DLC. .300 comes with a map DLC, and the weapons from those work different from weapon packs

Well it hits the mark. Beware though that the max zeroing distance for the rifle round is 150m, so at long ranges you have to compensate. Great rifle though.

I REALLY like water buffalo and trying to do the parque Fernando trophy quest where you have to get a diamond of every animal on the map I've had a lot of fun doing it and I really enjoyed all the main and side missions in it and it has a few good variety of animals I just find it as a all around good map and fun

The animals and the visuals/aesthetic. Story-wise they're also both solid

TA has the benefit of a lot of animals for fast leveling, Medved is a bit more sparsely populated but offers the best night hunting experience in the game imo

If you're interested in it, Medved is perfect. The NV-binocs work very good on the map and even without them you're totally fine. The map is beautiful, there's nice animals, the story is nice. Great map. TA has a lot going for it as well. Chamois being an exclusive on the map and awesome animals. TA's also very good for Red Deer and Fallow. The only thing that is lacking on TA is predators, but that's fine imo

They'd still be class 1 max 2, but they'd be very small for 2. I don't think the map needs any, I learned to love it without them. I was just telling them what to expect, because people here have bought the map after consulting with us, and came back ten minutes later saying "this map sucks, not even any big predators."

as you can see, there's a few times where some species have overlapping drink times. i'd recommend taking advantage of those overlaps

There is way more than 2, the best way to find them would be: Go look up :map name: outpost locations, or unlock all the lookout towers, as they will reveal Points of Interest, Landmarks and outposts. Hope this helps a bit.

question marks will be hunting structures, landmarks, or points of interest, the outposts will always have the little house icon, unless it hasnt been discovered with a lookout point, then it shows up as a question mark when running up to it.

Some of the newer maps like Te Awaroa, Silver Ridge Peaks and Rancho Del Arroyo, will have ‘ghost outposts’ where they dont show on the map if you havent claimed them, even though the map has been fully unlocked by lookout towers

One thing not many people understand is that the map is heavily geared towards night hunting. Five of the six species on the map have some nighttime drink time, and two of those are entirely at night

I do mostly day hunting on it - you don't HAVE to night hunt, though I do that too. Several animals on it are nocturnal but they move between rest zones during the day

Best thing to do on Medved is find a lake to drop a blind on

Long answer: every weapon is rated for different animals, and using a weapon on an animal it's not rated for will ruin the trophy.
