Silver Ridge Peaks "Out of Her Comfort Zone" mission. In the mission I am talking about you have to pick up a phone that is making noise and then a bear repellent can.
I have a problem where I can pick up the bear repellent but not the noise making phone. I have tried leaving the game and coming back but nothing I have tried has worked.

all the compound bows shoot the same arrows, but they have some subtle differences. like the hawk edge not being reliable enough for hunting diamonds. mostly wondering if the bearclaw lite shoots flat enough and gives enough penetration for shooting class 6/7 animals out to about 40 yards

The great one is extremely rare, many people are having to kill 2000-3000 whitetail on their map to get it to spawn. My advice would be to grind only your own Layton map for it, don't ever open it to multiplayer. Some people have found their great ones turned to lvl 4s or 5s after opening their Layton to muliplayer

I really do like the drilling rifle but the lack of dots on the scope makes it quite difficult to range. Also the rifle can only zero out to 150m but it drops animals at 300m faster than the .300 so it's a love-hate relationship

pretty useful if you're tracking a big one, and they switch directions so you're upwind of them or if you're trying to use scent lures from a stand. doesn't seem to work well at close range though. it's not 100% effective. it just lowers the distance they can smell you by a certain percentage

They stay spooked in the burrows like 5 minutes, you can a bit hear them when they are ready to come out. Then you back out from there and they will jump back out.

I just bought a game and have have few questions. I want to buy one gun pack, one map and saber 4x4. So, can someone tell me what is best choice for gun pack, map and is it good to buy saber 4x4?

Best gun pack is smoking barrels weapon pack, best reserve is your choice, you can join any map on multiplayer and test them out to see your favourite (my favourites are Vurhonga, SIlver ridge peaks, Yukon valley, and maybe medved or Te awaroa). Yukon unlocks the .300 magnum rifle which is the best big game rifle but you need weapon score and in game cash to get it. I also think the atv is free... don’t think you have to buy that, just go to an outpost and spawn in the atv

Smoking barrels gets you the M1 which is the best medium game rifle and the muzzleloader which is a great weapon, as well as a 10 gauge shotgun

If I were to recommend one reserve though it would probably be vurhonga... maybe Yukon later on for the .300 but probably vurhonga first. Just my opinion though

pretty usefull dlc especially for bigger maps (like vurhonga) and for exploring in general. Even with the atvs fully discovering a whole new map can take some time

(unforunately, they removed the handbrake for the sake of beeing able to spot rabbit calls while driving and beeing able to change key bindings of gas, brake, left and right... haven't been as much fun since then)

What I do usually is put a tent down and sleep for a day or so, so animals can move around a bit, then I check for the tracks of the specific animal. If I find a route, a palce a tripod and ambush them. If I can't find anything, I check the nearby water bodies during their drink time. If they are a bit outside of the area, that's not a problem if there is a caller for that species.

Depends on the gun. For every rifle besides the .22 and the drilling it is 150m. The drilling and 22 are both 100m. Don't know about bows but pistols and shotguns are 50m

It’s true about weapon pack 1. The .22 long rifle is pretty important. The reason I didn’t mention that is from my experience, most new people want to hunt more medium to large game before they hunt waterfowl but everyone is different. The trophy lodge gives you a reason to keep grinding so IMO that’s super important, why shoot trophies if you can’t show them off right? And the tripods/treestands dlc I also don’t know what I’d do without it, it’s so helpful for so many situations. The saseka trophy lodge is the better lodge as it has more space and more places for full body mounts.

Any class 4-8. M1, eckers, 303, .270 but that one isn’t as powerful as the others. M1 most efficient as it has least recoil and decent power/penetration. 303 most powerful of the guns with multiple bullets but higher recoil. 7mm is good as it’s most powerful but only one shot before reload so I’d recommend all but the .270 before the 7mm

Like dozens. A lot of it comes down to luck that you run into one in the early hours of play since you don't have anything to help you identify it is a diamond before you harvest it.

@toxic phoenix watch the wind indicator. you never want to be walking or hunting into your own scent cone. your scent and more importantly sound carry farther downwind of you. work to get downwind of the animals you're stalking. don't use backpacks. they make alot of noise and increase your visibility. move from cover to cover to limit how visible you are. know what class the various animals are, and only use ammo rated for that class on them. team up with someone who's played a few hundred hours and have them teach you the ropes a little

Backpack actually do not affect much on your performance . Hiding inside a bushes with scent eliminator still can let you take good shot . Go to need zone before animal does and hide .

dropping the backpack was a game changer for me. i can almost always get within 35 yards now if i'm patient and mind the wind direction. the small backpack makes just enough extra noise to give me away if i'm crouch walking trying to get a better angle bowhunting. not as big a deal for rifle hunting but either way you'll see more animals and get better shots if you make less noise. especially for e newer player, you're going to be spending alot of time just walking the reserve going to points of interest and looking for need zones. you don't really need or want to be lugging everything in your inventory. just take a tent, and you can access things like tree stands, blinds, and decoys when you need them

Depends on what animals you spawn with. A few of my diamonds I got from the original animals with no grinding. Someone said that every animal has one diamond when you start playing. I don't think that is the case all the time but 3 of my diamonds say there is some truth to that

at layton, walk the first tree line inland from balmont lake or the river sometime after 16:00. they'll generally be near water from then until it's too dark to see. walk in an upwind direction (scent cone behind you). move very slowly and use the trees for cover. keep one eye on the shoreline and one eye ahead of you. you'll probably trip over a few deer walking through the trees

Well the host might have alot more need zones and opened up the full map placing tents and stuffs. So yes it might be good. But since the host won't be always there you might wanne get your own map opened.

Yes you can zero bows with the zeroing perk. 20m, 40m, 60m with most bows. 10,30,50 with crossbow but the scope allows you to be more accurate with the three dots. I think they go up by around 20m per dot depending on arrow weight

The bow is zeroed to 40m by default. But the closer you get, the easier it is to hit

I'd suggest going to parquet fernandos bow range and test it out. If you don't own it, you can play it in multiplayer for free.

It is possible to make .300 penetrate 2 lungs of a buff/bison.Instal "powerful ammo" mod(2x version).Works like a charm for me.I dunno is it considered as cheating though....In real life all bullets have way higher penetration and damage.I don't understand why did devs make them so weak in the game...Soft point are nearly useless without mods...IRL .300 soft point will easily penetrate through a moose...

Can be less or a little more depending on the type of animal and their senses as well as the level of the animal. For example, a level 8 predator will hear you from further away than a level 5 predator and therefore can give you a warning call from further away. Some animals like bison aren’t spooked easily so most of their calls will be around 130-150m if sprinting. All kinda depends on stuff like that

Yep you can have up to 20 decoys out. But like ORMY said attraction level on each is 20. So doing the math if you have 5 out at 20% attraction level,5=100% 🤷 You can put out 20 if you want but outside of immersion affect theres no need.

Yeah but if you keep looking in the sky through binos at high magnification there’s flocks that fly by without coming in. They’re harder to see which is why it seems like all flocks you see come into the decoys.

Yep. Those gaggles will never come in. Theyre not intended to for whatever reason. Can spot those easily cause they fly so high and fast and are in a perfect v. Once I see those over head I leave to another spot. Any gaggle that will come in never fly in perfect formation like that or that high.

Shoot everything in sight. On the first animal look at the harvest checks and try figure out what they all are

At the top right you will see a number between 1 and 9. It will be in a circle. Take note of that number. Look at your ammo in your inventory. Somewhere there you will see a range of numbers like 2-6, 4-8. If the number by the animal is in that ammo range then you will have shot the animal with the correct bullet. The other harvest checks are fairly self-explanatory

you can find a good spot that is downwind and call a herd to you and take them down one by one
