Brother just go to water sources and shoot for a few min and you're good. Or go to Emerald coast if you own it, you can also play emerald coast for free on mulitplayer. Go to the far right beach, run along it and shoot down crocs and you've got 16k in less than 30 min

Ambusher Pack- Electronic Caller allows for calling in 2 species simultaneously from up to 200m away, excellent for general stand/Ambush hunting, but also particularly good for goose/duck hunts. The pack also includes a .44 Magnum rifle and a Recurve Bow.

Bloodhound- The Bloodhound can track kills via blood splatter, and if you fail to lethally shoot it, it will continue to track prey as they travel, allowing you to pursue and finish it off, if you're not up for waiting. It also has the ability to ward off Predators automatically, at higher levels, so bear and crocodile attacks are (mostly) a thing of the past.

High Tech Hunting Pack- this Pack includes Nightvision Binoculars, a 4-8x NV Scope, tracer arrows, a bow sight with a built-in Range Finder that will also give you an adjustment sight to show where to aim, and a Compound Bow. If you're a fan of night hunting, the NV Binoculars alone are worth the purchase imo.

Weapon Pack 3- Often overlooked, I think this is the best of the Weapon Packs, for small-medium game hunters. The .45 Cyclone Air Rifle can effectively hunt class 2, 3 and 4 animals up to 300m, and do so far more silently than any other rifle. It's got the stealth of a bow but the range of a rifle. Getting shots to hit reliably outside of 200m does require practice and a Mil-Dot scope, however.

Weapon Pack 1- Excellent option for the Crossbow, and the Virant .22LR is a popular choice for many small game enthusiasts, though I prefer the .22h. The Pack also includes a Recurve Bow, if you want something a bit more traditional.

Treestand and Tripod Pack- Tripods and Treestands both elevate the hunter enough to notable increase your vantage point on hunts, and have been invaluable. Treestands are more selective but can be placed very high up, while Tripods can be placed anywhere and will give you a 360⁰ view of your surroundings, with no structural impediments, unlike the permanent structures you can build across the map.

any recs for DLC shotguns? got the gopi 10G Grand and the strandberg 10SA Executive but so far my favorite has been the base game shotgun(caversham stewerd) , my problem with it is that it only has two shots which is kinda annoying when you're dealing with a big group of birds, the gopi/strandberg is been okay imo, the four shots is better but everything takes 3-5 business days to drop, might be a skill issue on my end ngl, but figure i'd ask here for any opinions

You'll be hard pressed to find anything better than the 12ga, 6rd pump and the 10SA semi-auto 10ga that you currently have.

The problem with your animals not dropping is almost certainly because you're trying to use Buckshot outside of 10m, and unfortunately buckshot sucks.

been hunting mostly on scotland taking down red and black grouse, but also tried taking down pheasants, it's always the same issue, they can take up to two shots from 30-50 m and still fly away a good 100 meters

That is odd, they usually drop for me. There is a chance you're shooting a bit high/low and not getting a great spread, but your harvest screen should tell you that. A solid shot from 0-60m should have the bird absolutely riddled with pellets, with a 10ga.

If it helps at all, if you're shooting under 50m you don't really need to lead slow-flying birds like Pheasant and Grouse. Aim at their head, not in front of it, and you should eradicate them immediately

I participated in the last community challenge where i killed 2-3 turkeys and it showed that as my contribution. No where did it say that you had to have a specific number as a personal goal, but yet, I didn't get the reward it said you would get if you contributed. Has anyone else had this issue? The drilling rifle is great. I used it religiously until I got dlc guns. Rifle ammo for upper class game, shells for lower class so you dont have to carry 2 guns. Then use another rifle or whatever for your mid level hunts.
