Accuracy stats actually has no impact on accuracy (yeah sound ridiculous). It only affects your scope wobble, which pretty much can be reduced to zero by riffle perks.
Basically only your personal aim matters.
More important stat is weapon recoil.

If too much builds up in area it will destroy the need zones under it and cause animals not to come back to the area until it is gone.

If you kill 3 animals in an area while on foot or 15 animals in area while in a blind or using a bow, it will wipe out the zones under it.

Indefinitely. They can only be reshuffled by killing in other parts of the map.

Essentially it reflects animals being pushed around by your actions.

Essentially when you kill an animal, one hp will disappear from somewhere else and one hp will appear where you killed something.

If you have duck decoys you can set up a scrub zone where you kill ducks to concentrate hp in just one small area since ducks are not affected by hp, they'll keep coming to that area for you to kill. Also easy way to earn cash.

I use that to keep my maps clean of hunting preassure.

The main problem with 1-2 riffles - you most definitely miss lvl 3 animals.

It's pretty ok, you cover all lvl animals, but definitely will be some troubles with lvl 6 animals like Red Deers (tough to quick kill for Ranger .243)

And Red Deers are extremely profitable animals if you mange to score quick kill. 1200-1400$ for 100% quick kill bonus and 100% sequence bonus.

Y’know if you think about it, hunting the noble axis deer (a virtuous pursuit, all agree) with the solokhin generates a lot of money due to the class coverage of 7.62x54R, frequent quick kills

Animals spook to about 150m away when you put tripods down, but you can set them up as close as you want to their zones. Once they are in place they don't bother the animals or affect spawns like the tent. I keep some in the 100-200m range for rifle shots, but I also set up tripods that will be 30-60m from the drink zone for archery.

I don't know exactly but it varies. Hopefully somebody smarter answers you soon. Sometimes the animals will return later that zone time, and sometimes you have to wait until the next day (in-game).

If you want to find a specific deer the fastest/easiest way is to rest at a tent and check its drink zone every in-game day until it shows up.

Actually you already from the start has 2 pretty descent riffles:
Ranger .243 for class 2-6
Stradivarius .270 for class 4-8
You best bet to invest your starter money into scope Hyperion 4-8

Scope need something about 1000 riffle mastery and will cost you 12k

Try to focus on unlocking polymer bullets. It will greatly increase penetration (your chance to make a deadly kill)

You need only 300 riffle mastery for .243 polymer bullets and 750 riffle mastery for .270 polymer bullets.

Crocs are pretty tough guys. They are lvl 7-8 as far as i remember. Strongly recommended something high caliber.
Unfortunately 20k is not enough assuming you have no DLC weapon packs.
Actually you can try Stradivarius, but you definitely can have better results with 7-9 bullets.
And for classic game there is only 1 riffle that can do that. And it requires ALOT of weapon mastery.

Generally around lakes in Silver Ridge and Layton Lakes. Bears don't have a set range. Come drink time they just move toward their zones around the water.

Hiyaa ^^ so im on SRP hunting plains bison. Started out with almost no tents but i have all of my spots tented up now, im focusing on placing trypods now but a lot of them still dont have one so there can be a lot of constant hunting pressure.

Rn im at the point where ive gotten 4 dias from my grind but it feels like my herds are thinning, i only hunt lvl 3/4 and ofcourse lvl 5 bison. But just wondering where my bison have gone since i dont see as much as before,
I also try to only hunt 2 males in 1 herd. Sometimes 3 happens. But never females

Because I have several save files (using the save manager) and I'm trying to merge info I have across multiple saves into a single save file. I managed to get the right map, with all the stuff I had discovered, as well as the dogs with the right coat colors. But all the other stuff I had is gone. I tried the playerinformation_adf and thp_player_profile_adf files but that didn't work.
I wanted to avoid having to level up this character all over from the start again but I might have to just do that. I should never have made multiple saves to begin with.

Bear on Silver Ridge Peaks is a very fast circuit once you get it set up, and the tents you place to clean up the map will let you shoot a lot of Mountain Lions and Rocky Mountain Elk, as well as Mule Deer and Bighorn Sheep if you ever see that time of day. Whitetail on Revontuli has more ground to cover but it's fairly open and also very popular.

I assume you want to spawn a diamond lion and aren't trying to change where big lions spawn. In that case try for a double on the Level 7s. The fewer big animals on your map the higher the chances of spawning a diamond. (This is the main logic behind herd management.)

it depends where you are in the game progress and which other weapons you have access to through DLC. Playing through the base game normally from the beginning the 7mm is a good buy when you unlock it, but a lot of DLC weapons can replace it for free and then you can spend that gold on tents or binoculars or callers etc.

then you should buy it if you want to hunt class 9. Even class 8 like moose will go down easier to the 7mm than using a class 4-8 rifle which is marginal on class 8. Most people prefer the .300 magnum (Yukon or High Caliber), but if you don't have access to those the 7mm is a nice hard hitting rifle. I used it a lot until I unlocked the .300 Canning.

you can use the Docent .223 instead of the Ranger .243 in this loadout too. It's lighter and you already have the Zarza for classes 4-6. I like the base game .223 better than the semi-automatic Zarza .223 because it's lighter.

If you have room for it all the combination of Virant .22, Docent .223, Zarza .308, and Arzyna .300 covers all classes nicely with four guns (12 units of weigh). If you want to cover everything with fewer guns/weight it starts to involve a compromise, but not every map needs a loadout like this either. It also depends which DLC you have of course, but there are a few three gun packages around 10-11 units of weight that cover classes 1-9 legally.

no, but when it happened to me in the past it was a steam cloud problem. There are other reasons too, you should contact support they are helpful with this stuff.

Frozen animals could be because of high host ping, but if somebody kills 5 deer in 5s with all perfect shots (max session score) they are hacking. Depending what you mean by a lot of kills but yes it could be a sign.

Sounds shady but hard to tell with that little information. Some people go on multiplayer with a semi automatic and don't care about hunting pressure and will gun down whole herds. You have to see how they are doing it to guess if they are being unfair. In lobbies when I've seen it they will assassinate the whole group of deer at once so you'll see five notifications in a row or similar.

Good evening. I'm hoping someone can explain "consecutive harvest score" for me?? In Vurhonga Savana i'm doing the "shoot 2 side striped jackals and earn a consecutive harvest score of 100". I shot two in a row, first had rifle score of 55, second was 59. still didn't earn it. What am i doing wrong?

Consecutive Harvest Score means that you didn't miss collecting a trophy.

For example; I shot 5 rabbits and collected five trophies. So I am walking around wiht a consec score of 100.

But say I shot a jackal, hit it but didn't collect it. My consec score is reduced to zero.

In a way its a grade for hunting ethically.

Yeah Consec does not care how clean the kill was, only that the kill was collected. It was way worse before when it was actually a factor in determining trophy ratings; You could lose a diamond Moose just because you failed to collect a turkey you shot.

My suggest is go kill some springbok or other trash animal that you can reliably drop. Then in the trophy screen hover your mouse over the Cash and XP sections. A mini-tooltip will appear giving you a break down.

Look for consecutive Harvest. If it hits 100% that's when you go for your jackals.

The Virant 22 is so good and important I always forget it's DLC and not base game. It's crazy there is no base game 22 and you don't get bird shot to start either.

I'm thinking of trying out bow hunting after I really enjoyed the crossbow the last few days. Are the bow skills necessary? I thought about resetting my pistol skill with 2 in faster reload and only take the reloading while running perk and putting the rest into bows. Are the bow skills worth it? I tried it a bit and with the CB-70 I'm getting double lung on most animals without the pumping iron perk so it seems kind pointless to me. The only interesting perk is the one where you fire the bow from a prone position.

No, the bow skills are not worth it. Firing from a prone position won’t be needed in the vast majority of hunts. You will almost always have time to get up into the crouching position and get a shot off before the animal spooks.

Thanks. Yeah, now that I think about it, I take most of my shots with a crossbow or rifle from a crouching or standing position. Very rarely I shoot from prone because most of the time foliage blocks my sight, especially because I play without the animal outline

Harvest animals and complete missions. A lot of people like goose because you can shoot a lot of them in a short period of time. Crocodiles are also popular. I also like any herd animal with species difficulty >=50% so bison, cape buffalo, blacktail, and a few others. This will help you maximise your progress per harvest.
