Every time I start my game again whether I go to the Home Screen to change maps or completely reset, my weapons do not change and they revert back to a setup I had a week ago. I don’t know if it’s me not understanding loadouts or what but it’s very annoying. I have to pull guns back out of storage every time I play

Basically for herd management for animals that go to level 9 you want to shoot levels 5,6,7,8, and 9. But for animals that go to level 3 you want to shoot level's 2, and 3, but if your respawns are messed up you could shoot a few 1's.

2 questions please: 1. What's better expansion or pen? or does it depend on the animal? ... 2. I notice some animals have a 1/trival or 3/easy and 7/hard what does that mean and does it effect the rating of the animal?

1 pen in mostly all situations except close range broadside shots where expansion most of the time will bring a bigger animal down quicker and the 22 ammo in basically everything but turkeys pen helps to get lung
2 that is animal difficulty and it does affect the rating higher the difficulty bigger the animal depending on the animal they max out at 3 very easy 5 medium 9 legendary

the sheer number of ducks you can get is where their cash value comes in

All ducks bring in 300-400 but the ammunition to kill them cost 180 for 10 shells and you can literally get 30 or 40 and 15-20 minutes

70% was only one if you grind for money exactly you can get a lot more a lot quicker

Just gotta be good with a shotgun

And you don't have to walk all over the place picking up kills and trying to find them and make good hits and everything else

So it's a lot nicer than trying to do like a red deer or follow they just bring you a little bit more money but take a lot more work

depends on what you're interested in. Medved is one of the better maps for moose grinding, if you ever want to try your luck at a GO grind, but Cuatro's got a number of unique animals on it

Cuatro ibex is fun as hell and amazing cash and to get diamonds and the Grand slam mount

not to mention a side-mission chain that's Bragging Rights if you get it done

I have two questions regarding the Rifle perk "Zeroing", if somebody can help me! The ammunition for most rifles in my level 11 store have a range of 150m. The 75 zero and the 150 zero seem useable! But, if you put the second point into the perk, you get a 300m zero... Is that a waste of a point? or should I not even waste a point on the 75m Zeroing either? Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah, for some reason, I feel like my shot is lined up correctly on a Moose** for double lungs or even one lung and heart, but somehow, it always goes into the spine or scapula, I think. I may need to aim for a tick further into the rib cage, rather than on the front leg crease

That's a fair assessment, depending on what the default zero is without the perk. I was shooting from 120-ish meters away! That's why when I found the Zeroing perk, I got pretty excited, because now, I can shoot from 75m and 150m comfortably! Just need a better scope now, so i can tell range without having to switch from binoculars to rifle

(Of course i can mark a waypoint in the general area on the map, but again, that's an extra step that I can hopefully avoid pretty soon!)

So, can you use heard management tactics while roaming, or is it specifically about finding zones you want to prioritize?

You wanna try and prioritize zones

Because a lot of how-to guides seem to want you to pick certain zones as the ones to stack with high/low level animals

If my understanding is right on how this works, because I do want to be thorough about my understanding

You need to shoot as many mid-size animals as possible to flood your map with small/large members of the species

The idea is to get a lot of really low lvl animals which in turn boosts the chances of high level animals spawning

Then try to stack selected zones with large animals to ensure diamonds always spawn in that area

And keep small animals in other “dead” zones that you don’t want to hunt in

Stacking (keeping the high levels on your map) only works to help increase the number of low lvls in other zones, but it will otherwise hurt your respawns in your main zones

Don’t stack at any point in your grind other than at the start

So just shoot as many high/mid level animals in a species as possible

Then wait until something big walks in a spot you’ve selected as particularly “shootable”

All of the content in other maps that you had unlocked should have remained untouched by any of the update. The only thing that changed is the animals affected by population resets - zones may have moved around, but also may have stayed put. It's an RNG kind of thing if I understand it properly. The content update/installation was EC related things and whatever bug fixes were detailed in the Patch notes here: https://shorturl.at/ajoOT (some were rifle things, some were map missions etc)

From what I understand, only PC clients can crossplay.. and since your friend is using Xbox Gamepass, even though it is on a PC, it is I think unfortunately not recognized as a PC client

Hey Snout - My mallards all left their previous spots as well - think it's the 'reset' they did. Although I have seen Mallards fly overhead just in a different area than usual

Okay I have two questions my first question is I hear about people leaving trophy animals alive usually until the maps are going to get wiped soon or whatever and I wanted to know why and also how does the animal spawning work because I usually only see small deers and other low level animals

Leaving trophy animals alive (max levels, GOs but not rares) actually has a negative effect on respawns. Why that happens I’ll get to in a little bit

Seeing a lot of low lvl animals isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The game has a way of balancing out the levels of the animals on your map. The more low lvl animals, the higher chance a high lvl animal respawns.

Remember when I mentioned stacking the high levels has a negative effect? Yeah it has the opposite effect to keeping a lot of low lvls on the map

Same as any other animal which is unclear but exiting the game will respawn all your animals or even teleporting away can do the trick
