Probably wrong answer: it depends what file was updated and how it's packed up. For example, if all 'guns' are in the 'guns.pak' file, then an update to the guns requires re-downloading the entire 'guns.pak' file regardless of the size of the change

But that's not taking into account other ranges and the three different ammo weights, their trajectories and the three point crossbow scope.
So the whole guide has to be remade from scratch which will take several dozens of hours of testing and confirming.

I need some help with the mission where you have to take a Hare picture: which is the best distance/frame composition to have the mission completed? I managed to get close to almost 10m but no luck, I took around 20 pictures hoping to trigger the correct one

I place here some references for the mission where it is asked to hang the boar at Cresta Riberena (Curva del Cazador Outpost).
When you enter the small stone building, the interaction command appears just a bit on the left a step after the door.
If you step too much, or look at the tables, it doesn't trigger, and there is not the usual shape to give you some hints.

Another quest where you are asked to clean an outpost, to interact with the cans, just aim a bit above them. I could guess that placeholders are affected by the FOV, which in my case is set to 90.

If the animal is half covered by vegetation, try scrolling up and down the mouse wheel to see if the E appears.
I have also noticed that sometimes small animals are not outlined while using the binos (between 350m - 150m), but they are when using a rifle scope

Let me dissect this into separate things being talked about.

First off, yes EW has found that the pen ammo for .22lr was underpowered. The article linked is outdated because they have buffed the truncated cone ammo in this update (showcase). How they decided to buff the truncated cone .22lr and not the .223 is beyond me.

Secondly, yes, I can confirm that higher expansion correlates to better bleed damage per pen depth. This is why you are advised to use softs when you know your polymer tips will not pen to double lung.

However, this does not necessarily mean that the expansion ammo has a larger 'hitbox' than the pen ammo. I haven't figured out a way to test this efficiently inside the game.

with that being said, there are plenty of other instances/bugs in this game that makes me believe the projectiles are virtually much larger than indicated by their supposed caliber diameter. Such as the dreaded 'blank shot' bug, where shots are believed to make contact with surrounding world objects near the hunter, or cases where someone got a 'brain shot' without going through the skull.

We don’t know why it happens exactly

If I had to guess, I have seen deer respawn at near lakes around the zone it was killed in so depending on how the respawning system works, if a herd has enough males per se, the other respawns go the other lakes that are close enough to it

Hello guys. Recently started hunting Great One moose at Leyton. So far, everything is not going very well, all the watering places where I hunt sooner or later dry up, and moose stop appearing there.

I have already asked experienced guys and they advised me to look for watering places that are remote so that the moose have no choice but to go to these watering places, but now it has stopped working

There's been a surge in crashes to dash/desktop recently and it looks suspiciously like many may be caused by save/account corruption.
idk how this works on Steam but is it possible for you to open the game as a separate steam user/profile? An xbox player was able to start the game using his sisters xbox account to prove it was save/account related.

Could someone share some content about in depth information about how to hunt. What to do and what not to do. Till what distance you could approach, how much noise you can make, what to do if the animals are behind trees. The most I find are beginner guides and explaining the real basics. I'm searching for a bit higher level of information. I would appreciate it. Could also be a streamer to follow or something. I dunno. I'm juste looking to improve and get feedback over what I'm doing wrong

in this game your best bet with finding animals is to find the time ranges in which they drink (this information is posted online but you can also explore the lakes and rivers at various times to see animals drinking)

Once you know when they drink (and where they drink which you can use a hotspot map for just like the one posted above your message), you want to ideally get within 150 meters of them (with the max zero-ing stat you can even shoot from 300 meters and not have to worry about controlling your noise).

When you're about 200 meters in, animals can start to hear you. So from there start walking the rest of the 50 meters. Be sure to eye them down constantly with your binoculars and make sure they stay calm as you approach. If some are getting attentive/alert, just crouch down and wait for a bit. Once you're within 150 meters, hit f until your zero is at 150m and shoot right in the center of your crosshairs.

If an animal is behind trees or shrubs (rare if you're hunting at drink zones but still possible in some lakes), either call it out, pivot to a different angle, or, if you wanna play risky, fire a 22LR shot in its direction but don't hit it. Then it'll go alert and rng will decide whether it'll come out or go deeper in.
