Stacking seems to not do anything with spawning great ones tho at least from what I've seen they like rares spawning more then anything

Stacking and herd management gets you shitload of diamonds and higher chance super rares

You stack diamonds to get more lvl 1s (whitetail) or 2s 3s (red deer or black bear)

Whitetail are more on the west side of the map. Picture a vertical line going smack in the center of the Layton map, check the lakes and half-lakes and rivers west of that at their drink time.

For one easy herd, roanoke outpost at the absolute southwest is smack on a lake that typically has a big herd for me.

so i recently decided to start a moose grind (in prep for GO) on medved. i belive when the next update comes out there will be a pop-reset. does this pop-reset remove all of my zones and will i have to go look for them again or will it just remove the animals at those zones. im wondering is i just spent 5 hours for nothing.

It's the same concept if you shot all of the animals at one zone The zone disappears and you're welcome but there's a good chance that they will be back in similar places so you shouldn't have to change much whenever you go back looking for them

And in that five hours you probably learned a lot so whenever you go back looking for them you have a good bit of experience of what to do so that wasn't all for nothing and you also probably got to check your zones

You would probably be better off if there's a diamond you don't have you could set up a small grind to try to get it and make some money off of it

Hey folks, i have over 1300 hours in COTW and have just all of a sudden gotten a corrupted save game warning.. I have taken no steps yet on this and its extremely extremely disappointing. I will in fact not play this anymore if I have to start again, like wise games that arent cloud supported in 2022 are so frustrating. Anyone have any solutions before I uninstall and move on?

Unless you have a backup, there’s nothing you can do really

backup the saves. download steam cloud saves and check for differences. let it attempt to restore a backup. try manually to load the savegames from the slots-subfolders.

Have you clicked the 'restore save data'? That won't restart your game, the game will just step back a few steps to an earlier state, I believe.

It’s different depending on the animal. For whitetail you put your 1s in unused zones, shoot your 2s, and then stack your 3s
