it depends solely on the placement of a zone, if the zone is at the edge of a lake & they physically can’t get any closer to you, 180 is the spook radius, i usually set up around 220-230m away, but when it’s a drink zone or feed zone that has more land closer to you, they can be 50m or so in any direction away from the need zone icon

with feeders they spawn directly over the zone so no need to set back up further than 230m

i used to set it up 250-260 and surely they wouldn’t spook, but every bit of time spent running to the tripod makes the difference, so it really just depends on each zone

With what piebald is saying here is good advice, but since 300 is far distance to shoot I'd suggest getting the thing that lets you choose 75, 150, or 300 meters for the scope thing. (Perk or skill point to get it)

You could get a 1 kill grind or a 10k but most grinds take 1.5-2.5k male kills with completely average luck, but dont quote me on that🤣🤣
