class 1 is entirely birds and rabbits, duck g1s won't work bc you have to kill damn near 15 to get respawns, and you can kill thousands a day if you're trying
rabbits won't work because they only occasionally come out of their burrows
cats would be cool but currently all the usable cats (pumas, lynx, and lions) are duo animals AND have terrible outdated models - snow leopards and tigers wouldn't work because their populations are so small

now the reason antlered great ones are so much better is because it creates combos,
for example, fallow has 20 combos, moose has 26,and mulies have 36, which is a huge advantage over things like bears where they only have 5, or pheasants with 9 or smt

I mean my thought isn't right now. Lions I think would make a fantastic G1 - same with mountain lions ngl - but they would need updates and improvements to fit where the game is now. More small game would be good for the variety - I'd honestly enjoy a rabbit g1. If we can have pheasants, we can definitely have other class 1 g1s. It'd honestly be pretty weird if that was the only one. (Of course this isn't factoring in any of the potential new species we might see over the years either. Just existing.)

I actually couldn't care about the combos when it comes to what is better. It's just two side of the same coin with different design directions pretty much. Obviously some people are going to prefer one over the other but that's just another spot where variety and mixing it up is really valuable. I personally think people who love the bird hunting in this game are insane, but clearly they enjoy it - it's just not for me. I may not be enthused about say a roe g1 personally as a top favorite, but I definitely still think it's a cool addition to the game.

That's just with what we have now though. I personally think there's some good potential within that class range and not just with our existing but with what we could get in the future. The devs should try and reach out to the guy who made .300 blackout, he just made a new caliber within the last year called the 8.6 and he’s gone to South Africa and tested it on Cape buffalo and from his experience he can hit and it’ll drop 30 yards from where he hit it at, if yall know anything about twist rate it has a 1 and 3 twist rate so what that means is for every one inch it spins 3 times, to put that into perspective a 5.56 has a 1 and 12 twist rate, the guy that made the 8.6 said it acts like a literal drill bit

It would be cool if the devs could reach out and see if he will allow them to use a spec of the caliber and make a gun model for the game

Most people also don’t realize that for instance the .308 and 30-06 has better pen and expansion than the 7mm, the 7mm still performs better because it has a better class range, so having a bolt action that uses the drillings rifle rounds, those 9.3 74R rounds it would have more reliable performance at range than the Malmer and the other .308 and 30-06 rifles

I recently read the Dalai lamas book and it gave me a new perspective on the game. (Not meant religiously or politically)
You are happy when you shoot a diamond or another kind of trophy but this isn't stable, you will get back at 0 after a short while. So if you grind and only enjoy finding the trophies that aren't healthy. You should be happy while playing the game itself not breeding or lusting for rarer and greater trophies if you get me. This helped me enjoy Cotw even more. However if you enjoy grinding it selve for example then that isn't problematic.

thats pretty much what i did till i got all the herds shot down to 4 or lower, stacked the diamonds in the mains i wanted, then shot the solos to 5 or lower. after that i shot the diamonds and started rotating through my mains, moved some of the now unused tents for pickup tents
