Exteriors are zones you aren't grinding

Preferably you want small males to take up exteriors so your main zones will end up with the bigger males

For sure! For what it’s worth, not sure which map you’re on but Yukon has a lot less zones to manage. You could always jus shoot every male you see, too, if you did not care for herd management

Other than Sundar and Vurhonga, a lot of the maps share similar regions and thus share a lot of species. The ones that usually wouldn’t (Te Awaroa and Emerald Coast) share a couple of similar species because they’re invasive to those regions

Okay so it’s a lot of fun lol basically it can track different class ranges. You can have them search small (which searches for class 1), medium (class 2-5) and large (6+) except for big predators like bears, big cats, and reptiles. Once you max them out they can also learn a trait which makes them search for specific species. Love it 🥹

It’ll explore a pretty wide range, too. You can sort of guide it where you want it to search but they’ll also wander if you let them- that thing has taken off 3-400 yards off before and sat patiently for me to come shoot trophies. They’ll sneak up on the animal and flush birds too, which is a huge boon for a lot of folks that like to hunt birds or other sneaky critters

That’s how I have a pointer with blood tracking

They only learn the basic trait though
So pointer with blood tracking is better than bloodhound with pointer perks because the pointer really benefits from having all those extra perks.

i wouldn't worry greatly about herd management just shoot any big males

level 6 and up i'dddd say

if a zone is left with just little males or there are less than 2M 2F on a single zone i'd also leave it

you wanna try n pop 2 males in a zone , plus having at least 2+ M in a zone is better for more consistent respawns i've found

I had 200 kills but realized I massacred my zones by killing all the males by accident.. so I reset the animal pop 💔

keep in mind some may be solos so don't forget to sweep your map every now and then and double check that no solos have come back as a great one on some long abandoned lake LOL
