what's everyone's thoughts on the new great one Gray Wolf? I've been wanting it, I think the furs look amazing, however, I was hoping that whenever it came it would bring another map to hunt them on too. Right now there is only Askiy, MedVed, and Yukon, and I think the reason they are releasing it now and not with the December map is that the new map won't include them, and they don't want to drive players away from the new map to hunt the new great one, so they're giving it the spotlight now. Thoughts on this?

So each specific animal will have their a specific max level depending on that species and therefore have a different trophy rating. As well as that fact for every species (except beavers) only the males are able to make this max level trophy rating. There are currently over 105 animals in the game so I’m not gonna list every single one, but here’s some examples since you’re on the Vurhonga map.

• Lion - Class 9 - Max difficulty 9 - Diamond: 48.5 (not 47 I misremembered)
• Gemsbok - Class 6 - Max difficulty 5 - Diamond: 337.59 (round up to 338 to make it easier)
• Springbok - Class 3 - Max difficulty 5 - Diamond: 78.55 (round up to 79 to make it easier)

If it helps, I recommend downloading the COTW Companion app because it allows you to look up the animal you’re hunting and tells you the information about it, including rare coats and what they look like.
In order to spawn a max level and diamond trophy rating animal, you need to herd manage. This is done best by discovering the drink time for that animal if applicable, finding it’s drink zones around the map you’re hunting on, and hunting only the higher level animals for that species in rotations.
