if you're not hunting actual need zones then animals won't ever actually walk by you unless they're going to a need zone, if it's currently very late in the time slot of a need zone that means most herds will already be at their need zone for that alotted timeframe and won't be walking around

or if it's drink time you won't find animals in a field
