RtDMonstrum (by Soloredis): A massive, highly popular fantasy-themed monster expansion. It populates every single biome up to the Mistlands with completely custom monsters and unique boss encounters. The drops from these monsters seamlessly integrate into custom crafting recipes if you pair it with other mods in the "Return to Darkness" (RtD) series.
InventorySlots / Equipment and Quick Slots: Gives your armor, capes, and utility items their own dedicated slots outside your main inventory grid, and adds a few customizable hotkey slots.
SouthsilArmor: Adds over 30 entirely new, beautifully textured armor sets spread evenly across all biomes. It’s perfect if you are tired of wearing the exact same iron or silver set as every other Viking on your server.
ValheimArmory: A great choice if you just want a more diverse selection of weapon types (like greatswords, battleaxes, or throwing weapons) to support different playstyles at every progression level without breaking the core feel of the game.
Seasonality: Gives the entire world a true, dynamic 4-season cycle (complete with changing foliage, winter snowfalls, and spring thaws) that alters environmental behaviors over time.
-----JUST A THOUGHT SECTION-----
(MAYBE)Jewelcrafting (by Smoothbrain): Instead of random Diablo-style loot drops, this adds a socket system to Valheim. Monsters and mining veins drop raw, uncut gemstones. You have to mine copper and iron to build a Gemcutter's table, cut the jewels, and manually craft sockets into your regular armor and weapons. It feels incredibly native to Valheim's core loop.
(MAYBE)Creature Level and Loot Control: Allows enemies to scale up past 2 stars, gives them unique elemental infusions (like an un-freezable fire wolf), and customizes world-space threat levels.
(MAYBE)Digitalroots Slope Combat Assistance: Fixes the frustrating vanilla issue where swinging weapons on a hill completely misses an enemy standing directly above or below you.
(MAYBE)Better Archery: Completely redesigns the mechanics of bows. Adds proper arrows physics, a dedicated quiver, and allows you to reclaim spent arrows from enemy corpses.
(MAYBE)Epic Loot (by RandyKnapp): Adds the enchanting table, randomized magical bonuses, and bounty hunts.
(MAYBE)RtDOcean: Specifically overhauls the Ocean biome, which can feel a bit empty in vanilla. It populates the deep waters with new aggressive marine predators, friendly sea life, underwater exploration content, and a fully scripted custom Ocean boss encounter.
