That is the error, I need the log so I can see what is being loaded. I don't know jack shit about errors unfortunately.
the problem is there are some configs that i can change but without the config mod its much more of a pain to change them

Something is not right on your side, a mod conflict or somehow not correctly installed. I don't know, without the log it's a guess for me.

Hi guys, sorry to ask but I'm having an issue with Ashland's mods and a new server.
Server works great without them, doesn't work when they are added. All mods are in date as well

yes sir
delete the LogOutput.log file on the server, it's in the bep folder, restart the server and it should re-create the file. if it doesn't it means bepinex isnt starting, if it does, open it and check the logs, also check the logoutput.log on the client (in it's bep folder) - one should say what the issue is.
Is there a mod out there that offers an amended form of 'creative mode'?
What I'm looking for is the ability to free build structures (essentially build/heavybuild/furniture tabs) but retain the resource requirement for crafting stations, weapons/armor/food/potions etc

Why not simply enable devcommands and then no build cost mode?
Because i want this to be a server wide setting essentially so players can freebuild structures but are still required to gather resources in order to craft new weapons and armor etc

They added a server modifier so you can build freely, no need for a mod.
But again this would allow players to freely build the crafting stations and susbsequent gear from them which i dont want to be available
The 3 tabs in the build hammer (build/heavybuild/furniture) are all i want to be free. Everything else standard cost

Quick stack does just that, and a few minor extras. Or there's Auto Store, can pick up from ground to chest and use hotkey to chest from inventory

I've not tested or heard any troubles with Ashlands, but AutoStore is another good one with ability to soak up items from ground for you

I can't say for sure, don't use V+. There are plenty of stand alone mods to replace V+ with if you're looking for that custom experience

Hello, im having an issue with Jotunn and BetterWisps not working on my server. Installing should be as straight forward as putting the .dll file for each mod into the plugins folder, no?
My client is telling me that BetterWisps arent loaded on the server, when trying to join it

Hello, does anyone have problem with Thierzie Wizardy mod? The problem is, when I install it by thunderstore, it completly froze the main menu after launch, music is not playing, characters are hiden and all buttons can be clicked only once. Skal fellow Vikings

Do you have the serverlog? You can check if Betterwisps is actually being loaded on there or not. (Also, stupid maybe, but did you stop your server when you added the mod?)
I can see it mentions some of my mods, like AzuWearNTear and ConversionSizeAndSpeed. But not other mods like Server_devcommands, even though that mod appears to be working fine

I can join the server if i disable BetterWisps on my client, but having it enabled and trying to join, the message mentions incompatible version of both Jotunn and BetterWisps

To import on TS: update/import, new profile, from code, paste code.
R2 is fine if you want to stick with it tho. I use TS bc it tends to get the updates faster.
And less people on my server seem to have issues with code sharing and such. Just my personal experience.

Ya, I been using R2 a long time. It's just the one mod that I'm pretty sure hasn't been updated to Ashlands 'yet'....the last update on it was April something. Thanks again. I'll try your idea

Hello....I'm kinda wondering if there's an updated mod out there that would do one thing that's bugging me in my first playthrough. Increasing the capacity of smelter and kiln several times. It's just infuriating having to refill ti every five minutes

r2modman is only available via Thunderstore and on GitHub under ebkr/r2modmanPlus
The Thunderstore manager does however get new supported games faster and using it helps cover some of the costs associated with running Thunderstore

Does anyone here use Thunderstore to mod a local dedicated server? I had it mostly working the other night but I had to run sh start_server_bepinex.sh manually, and mods like Epic and Jotunn just wouldn't load as if the files didn't exist (they did!)
So I'm curious how people here are or would recommend setting up and running a modded dedi?
On dedicated linux installs, I manually install BepInEx and copy the DLLs/config files
I'm on Windoze, I tried manually copying like normal but half my mods were "missing" even though it was a direct clone (modwise) as my main game (and the mod files were definitely there). I'm going to try again in a little bit here when I get home.
I had hoped to use a manager so I can swap profiles since they do some kind of symlinking (right?) and the main game dir isn't altered for future updates.
Any idea if Vineberry Clusters will be added to PlantEverything?

Hey there. This actually indicates they aren’t updated. Feel free to download ModAge or TerminalChecker to find your issue
Very likely this issue is going to be caused by an aedenthorn mod or a reupload of one.
ModAge will help you find old mods you have installed. (Option added to main menu)
TerminalChecker will help you find mods that are old and patch the terminal class (console to you) where the information will be found in the logs.
Morning all, anyone got a recommendation on a mod for chest stacks / sizes?
Added in what way? They are a sub-part of a larger prefab, the ashvines, which are growable already. I couldn't allow users to place independent vine berries without them being a custom and non-vanilla friendly prefab. The mod does have some configuration options already to control their respawn rate and how many berries they produce.
Oh, maybe it hasn't updated for our dedicated server. I know we still can't edit smoke puffs and ferns using valhost atm. Thanks!

I've decided to install a few mods on the dedicated server I run (devcommands). Made backups, and I know where the DLLs go. When I clicked the documentation it shows me Azumatt's youtube video showing installs for R2modman. If I am not using R2Modman, I just make sure the mod DLLs are in the plugins on both the server and my personal PC yeah?

Correct, but using a mod manager will make your life a lot easier. It doesn't store them in the same place as your game files, in fact, you won't even have to mess with your game files.
It's generally recommended not to use V+, but there are plenty of mods to replace it with:

Normally I would use the mod manager, but from what I read, there is an issue about starting a dedicated server with R2MM since it always tries to start the game via steam. In order for things to work I have to start the server using a batch file.
So I wanna do it manually first to make sure it all works. Then later on, since I know how to use R2MM, I will do it that way with more mods.
I understand, but you'll have less problems using these mods. For the most part, they are active mod devs that keep everything up-to-date.
I assume thunderstore manager is the best mod manager to use for these?

Most devs use Thunderstore now. While some devs still use Nexus, they also use TS as well. The most up-to-date mods will likely be found here.

Blah, its not working. I put both server devcommands in the bepinex plugin folder for both client and dedicated server, but in game when I do F5 it doesn't allow me the devcommands, says im not admin.
I have both my steam_id and playfab info on the admininfo.txt on the dedicated server PC
I'm just guessing here, since I rent a server rather than host my own, but maybe since you don't use R2, thus Steam, it doesn't recognize your Steam ID?

I got it to work, somehow.
[Windows] I did a fresh install for both the dedicated server and a few mods to test, manually installed, and the start_server_bepinex.sh script crashes midway through. I see a few "could not load library" messages and there seems to be a handful of other errors. Unmodded works just fine, ports are good, and client sides are setup the same and ready to test.
If I post the log could someone help me debug this?

Uh yeah you should be using the start_headless_server.bat and don't need to do anything on Windows assuming BepInEx is installed correctly
i copied everything like i do for a regular install. and i was using zsh (gitbash) to run sh start_server_bepinex.sh
just tried launching start_headless_server.bat and it does the same

Running into "Contact owner to remove" when trying to remove group/guild members building pieces. We are both permitted on the ward, in a group, and share a guild.
Hoping someone has seen this issue and knows offhand before I dig into this modlist. It takes like 20-30 mins to do a server restart.

The latest BepInEx is ready for Ashlands. It's on thunderstore.io. Some mods weren't broken by the Ashlands update while others were. Which of your mods might be broken is something you should figure out with a test run to see if you get any errors.

On thunderstore.io most mods are marked "Ashlands" at the bottom of their icons when they're ready for the new Ashlands game version.
Just thought I'd throw this in here... but if any modders are looking for a simple idea, could someone make a mod that changes Dyrnwyn's fire damage to like thunder or poison or something, so it's actually useful in the Ashlands?
Such a shame to do such a cool concept for a unique weapon but make it's damage type totally pointless in the new biome with everything having high resistances to fire
Almost like there's another biome to come where it'll probably be useful.

super cool abilities + different classes give you perks with different types of weapons, my favorite being berserker reduces 2h stamina usage iirc
Does it have a magic class or necromancer? Is there a healer there? I really miss being able to play a healer. 🙂
yes, there is a mage class with fireballs, meteors, throwable ice shards, etc. healers are druid and priest, druids give regen, priests consume stamina to channel a direct heal, or "purge" which only heals a bit, but removes negative effects like wet, poison, etc

Hello, when installing Jotunn on my dedicated server, i only need to put the .dll file into plugins? Its not like bepinex with multiple files that need to go in the server.exe directory?
I cant seem to get BetterWisps mod loading on my server and its the only Jotunn mod i have, so im suspecting Jotunn to be the problem
Yes. Make sure your server is actually running BepinEx.
All other mods that use BepinEx work perfectly fine

Loved that mod due to being able to upgrade the tier of armour with mats to keep it relevant in terms of armour value and just what it added in general.

Repetitive strain injury, basically this mod lets you search crafting menus as well as set a number of items to craft, so rather than clicking "Craft" 20 times to craft 20 misthare supreme you can click the "How many" box, type "20" and then click "craft" once, it'll still take the same time to craft them but it'll just craft them automatically one after the other rather than requiring individual clicks

Not fan of plant easily... with default settings planting trees is all effed up and the grid isn't enforced as strictly as I'd like...
currently about half the trees I planted are not growing up

Don't recall the one I had before having an option to add extra rows, this is a great addition. With old biomes the default amount was fine, but I've noticed that these newer biomes have so many different items the original amount of slots is simply not enough
My character is only loading when I launch my one profile, when I try another one he has no armor or anything? On Vanilla hes not even there. any help?
if you used a mod that adds equipment slots, you need to turn that mod on and then remove your equipment from the slots, then you can turn it off again and should work. but no idea about not appearing in vanilla

Overwolf thunderstore mod manager is really convenient, once it's setup just have to use the search in the mod manager to find mods you want, click download and it just works. But beware that not all mods work currently because the game was just updated

What's going on with the Ashlands update and rented servers?
Some mods refuses to load on paid rented servers when they work fine on local servers.
BowPlugin for me is one. It's being picked up by antivirus, and the server denies it access.
PlantEasily spaces trees out slightly farther than FarmGrid does. The issue is that grown trees have a randomized scale that determines their size and you can't accurately predict how big they will be. They may grow to then block sunlight for the other sapling. PlantEasily allows you to increase this spacing if you wish.

Hmm... well I'll wait out how this batch of trees turns out. If it ends up just worse I'll switch back, even if getting them to snap to grid properly can be a bit more pain in the ass at least with trees. Noticed that they sometimes start snapping in another direction, just slightly rotated if you're not paying attention

Or are you saying that your PCs AV gave you a false positive and blocked it?
hi, does anyone have experience using wacky's database in a basic way to change recipes? as a test i wanted to change the recipe for the club from 6 wood to 8 wood. i tried: wackydb_all_recipes to generate the .yaml files, then edited the Recipe_Club file to change the number 6 to 8. then tried wackydb_save_recipe Club, wackydb_reload, etc. but it seems like i can't save my change to the database. it does not update in game and if i do wackydb_all_recipes again, it overwrites my edited file to lose my change.

Some of my mods seems unable to load on paid servers while they work local client/server.
The false positive is an annoying problem for sure but sometimes it helps to just rebuild the dll.
I activated my GPORTAL server again so I can test and see which mod gets blocked.
When you do _all commands, it creates a BulkYML and stores them, which doesn't load into game. After you edit, those files need to go into the wackysdatabase folder, item and recipe folders respectively.
Also requires a relog to show.

The false positives seem to come from a combination of ILRepack and allowing unsafe code. I find that since switching to package reference for ILRepack and using this specific version it hasn't tripped an AV once

Believe me, I'm old-school and love my manual mod management, but r2modman is very lightweight and a better experience for inexperienced and advanced users alike. Open source, feature rich, no bs.
I would use a mod manager when I'm not doing mod dev simply because I too am lazy and would prefer a thing that does the thing for me.

Probably won't crash, but it can cause conficts if other mods do the same thing, so just turn it off if so and you should be fine

What's the general overview for "Jewelcrafting"?
I've read that it's this or EpicLoot, whilst being way more balance it's also a mega farm and takes some time. (The reviews I have read are close to 1yr ago so alot could have changed)
If you like grinding your soul away then pick Jewelcrafting.
If you like to be OP and just steamroll unless heavily configured then pick EpicLoot.

We currently have EpicLoot, but things seem a little easy and the lag is absurd.

Yeah, with the default config EL is absurd so it needs heavy configuration to make it more balanced.
I think both mods needs to be adjusted for personal playstyle, the default for both SUCKS.
There's also KGs Valheim Enchant System and Rustys variant, check those out too.

No, I took off using the console, the clouds are far below, the starry sky above, empty.
The dungeons up there are usually 3000-5000m up. It takes forever to get up there. Clouds are usually at about 200-300m. You can use console 'goto' to get up there quickly.
my guess is the entrance didnt spawn or is inside a rock or something, but probably can fly all the way up there and drop a portal, or find a different boss location as there is often a few places bosses can be spawned.
I climbed so high that a neighboring mine appeared, a little to the side. But the boss’s room still doesn’t exist.

Anybody know what's good amount for adding extra space between saplings in PlantEasily?
There is a setting in the main Epic Loot config file called "Items To Materials Drop Ratio" you can set that to 1 and all crafting materials will drop, no items.
If you just installed epic loot with the ashlands update the entire mod was rebalanced to be more vanilla friendly, but still give you a little bit of a boost. If the game is too easy you can try the vanilla world modifiers and increase the difficulty a little. In the past the default values did not scale well but with the recent rebalance of the mod that should be better now. We are always looking for feedback on making the best balance, if you have any you can pay Randy's discord a visit and share there 🙂

Running around, picking up drops/loot (after battle, etc), can clutter up the Notification list. I've been using "Notification Tweaks" by aedenthorn. But since none of aedenthorn mods are updated, and all of them causes "devcommands" not to work, I have to stop using it.

Ty for the suggestion since that mod has now given me access to build pieces that I had to use infinity hammer to copy before. Sadly, it doesn't appear to have any of the charred fortress pieces.
When I last played, about a year ago, I had a mod that helped with chest inventory management.
Basically what it did was if you had 5 chests near each other and you had wood in chest #4, but you tried to put wood in chest #1 --- it would instantly move it to chest #4 automatically.
Is there anything like that that is working ATM?

It takes 100+ hours to update the assets in the 0.218.x version of Valheim, due to complete change of file structure. Ashland has been live for a week. Take a break, go out and touch grass. lol.

Hey, after updating Valheim and mods i tried to start up a new world and get some hours in. The map lagged quite a bit and I tried restarting the map, but i'm stuck in the loading screen for over 10 minutes, only to get 'no response' from Valheim. I tried disabling a bunch of mods to see which ones messes it up, but to no avail.
Some suggestions what to do, please?
let me know if you were using OdinsKingdom, I had to replace some shaders that were causing longer loading, almost double the load time and probably have some issues with the new version of unity. Replaced Beam Additive and Beam Alpha Blend shaders with legacy and things are loading much better.

For me, PlanBuild has been supporting chests with stuff in them. Did you paste the bldg using default config 'plan' or set it to 'direct'?

If tagged with ashlands and it doesnt work let the author know, but we dont usually change the tag of our mods unless we think they are working.

i think it may actually not be a planbuild issue, but an Expandworld issue. if i try to force place the blueprint, the result has the sign words and stuff in the chest. but when i use the blueprint in expand_world_locations.yaml, the issue occurs where the spawned blueprint as a location is missing the contents (both sign text and chest). i am following along with StonedProphet's part 2 for using ExpandWorld and it seemed to work for him at the time of that recording
if i look at the .blueprint in notepad, i can see the chest and sign stuff is there. so, it seems to be an issue when its used in expand_world_locations
not so much an issue, but like a couple years ago now i played with a mod that added gold ore deposits around the map so you could mine it, smelt, it etc, the issue is ive completly forgotten the mod so i was curious if anyone else had played with a mod that had gold ore deposits,
doesn't seem to work --- Ahh nevermind, turns out there was a default setting in the config that stopped it from sorting if a container had more than 1 item type. After I changed that to false it seems fine.

ive tried both in the passed, it was a really old mod that i havent seen since, its like a fever dream that never happened, id added like a bunch of different ores scattered everywhere, like, zin, cobalt, gold, and a bunch of other earth metals
i think sulfur might have been in it idk, all i know is that the ore deposits werent in the mod overview, it was in a mod that revamped terrain and added mobs but the deposits werent mention, i think i saved the mods i had when the game updated before switching to new mods(this was like, before hearth and home i think or just after) but none of the mods stick, i guess the only way i might be able to find it is by trying each one in an older version of the game
i will cry if the mod isnt supported up to date LOL

If I have 2 mods that do similar things but also have unique features to them, will they break the other or will it be fine? I have a mod configurer as well so I can edit them.
Also, if I have a mod that configures the amount of loot dropped from a creature for example, does my friend have to use the same configuration settings as me to get the same results? Or am I the only one that needs to change it since I am the Owner/Admin of the world?
You can use two mods that have overlapping features if you disable it in one of them.
If the mod supports serversync and is on the server only you need to change it.
If not then you need to share yours with them.
So the mod I'm looking at says it is server side and client side, so I should be, the only one that needs to change it?

The tags suggest the mod should be installed on server and all clients. The config should be server authoritative by default with anyone on the admin list being able to make changes from their client that will then be applied on server and synced.

Do creatures drop the same amount of loot every time? For example, I have killed about 10 greylings and each one dropped exactly 3 resin. I do have mods installed, idk if that effects it or not tho.
Usually they need to add the mods to their games, too. For them to get the effects of the mods.

Hello! I'm trying to enhance immersion. I've got a first person mod, but the arbalest's white circle shot effect blinds me and obscures my target every time I shoot it, is there any way to remove that? I'd also like some more subtle/transparent projectile arcs. The big white water droplets when players or enemies are wet are also very distracting, especially at night, and especially in first person. We shouldn't be able to see water droplets in the dark at 200 metres, haha. I wouldn't mind a wet dripping animation but IMO it should be almost transparent. I would appreciate any other immersion enhancing mod suggestions!

On my Server I use it on server and my client. But since Xbox players also uses the server, the "override biome" doesn't work correctly. This is to be excepted, since this is how Valheim works. So my Meadows base, doesn't have Barley and Flax, that I need to have in its own farm in Plains.

Sure, what would you like to know? When I wanted to spawn a GlowingMushroom for something, PlantEasily would prevent that. It took over the mushroom and tried to let me plant it instead. Rendering the mushroom useless to me.

That's not possible, it doesn't meet the criteria for PlantEasily to do anything with it. It's a generic prefab without Plant or Pickable components. If you're mistaking it for PlantEverything, then that's also a surprising interaction.
PlantEverything would have added a piece component to it with the groundOnly restriction applied. I don't know what effect if any that would have on spawning it via command, but am curious to try it now.
Now if re-added to the cultivator via the ExtraResources feature, users/server admins can specify whether it is a ground only piece or not.

Would anyone mind helping me find the right resources for a mod I'm trying to make? I am following the "How to make a Valheim mod" video posted by Meatware Monster on YouTube. All I want to do is have the Demolisher's AOE smash act like a pickaxe only on Muddy Scrap Piles. Basically destroying the entire pile in one hit. I have used ILSpy to view the assembly_valheim.dll and I'm struggling to find what controls the Demolisher's attack as well as what controls the Muddy Scrap Piles. Is there a good resource anyone can point me to figure this out? Thank you.

First there is a second ashvine sapling to build in the cultivator after the true vanilla one. The default is green vines with all red berries.
The config has a [Vines] section at the end with several settings pertaining to colors. There will be a drop down menu for AshVine Style as well as VineBerry Style. The first 2 options for each are overrides and will make all of the ashvines planted from the custom sapling update to show that appearance (the piece icon in the cultivator updates too). The third option for each is custom and will show what colors were selected when the sapling was placed. This uses* a custom color selectable by the user in a separate setting.
The three berry clusters also can have individual colors and these persist even on vanilla servers. All the vines look like normal red ashvines on vanilla clients.
I have, although I haven't tried to change the colour yet, but I love that its an option 😍

I added some mods to my server and client. When I go to log in, I see the handshake, connection is made and then I get booted. I don't see any note in the logs about why I was booted. Other than removing mods 1 at a time and rebooting, what other troubleshooting can I do?

Is your server local or remotely hosted by a hosting Co.? Are you looking at your server's log in the Windows command window or is your server set to produce a log file?
The server is set to produce a log file. I eventually tracked down the issue. There was a mod (where I didn't read the fine print) that put a key on the server to lock the server down until the key is paid for. I don't mind modders wanting paid - just wish there were a note in the title or its marked in red or something. 🙂

Yes. MagicPlugin was revamped (changed a bit) as a new mod named MagicRevamp. Those two are by the same author, right?
I still recommend MagicRevamp for you because you can make it easier on the eitr requirements and the needed resources to craft it's items. As easy as you want.

Just a reminder.
If your server hangs on paid server (Linux) then remove bigger mods with FileWatcher.
This is typically mods with build pieces etc.
I removed it from MagicalMounts, BuildPieces and Blacks7ars removed it from all of his piece mods.
All our mods now load on paid server but loading time is still increased after the Ashlands update.
Still many mods still has it like OdinsKingsdom, OdinsArchitect, Valkea etc etc.
Be sure to tell the author to remove it since you can just use ConfigWatcher.

Removing isn’t the solution. Fixing the issue on certain Linux machines or having the file watcher check for changes only if they happen in certain timeframes is best. ConfigWatcher will just add the same problem back

Just go to every server hosts headquarters and change stuff, simple!
Most of them use docker containers that frequently modify files. You could ask for that setting to be off if the Linux box isn’t your own.
Still. The solution should be fixed in the file watchers used in the mods and not removing the file watchers all together

Projectile tweaks by Searica. Lightweight mod and works well. Reduce "spread" to 0 for pinpoint accuracy.

Yes, they return false on a prefixed patch that causes the issue, and to be honest I do not care to provide compatibility since I have my own version of their mod that works just fine and is more compatible.

Oh. I adjusted the default setting to suit my monitor. I don't remember offhand but I think it was .5 for me. It's kind of a personal preference thing. Too bright and there's no real night at all. Not bright enough and you keep running into rocks and trees. 😄
So if my friend on xbox joins my dedicated server with mods, certain mods will work for him correct?

Most mods won't work for him. Only a very few server mods would have any effect that he could see. And quite a few mods would actually prevent him from connecting to the server.
So if I built a ship with the odin ship mod for example, would he just see a vanilla asset instead?

If you add content mods and they don't have server enforcement enabled then modded content will be invisible to him.

A mod I like to use is VNEI, it's like a dictionary of all the prefabs. It will tell you crafting recipes and is used in-game.

Yea, it just allows you to see recipes and what tables, etc. Just a big dictionary in-game.

It's always worked for me. Check the option in the config file again to make sure it saved correctly.
Oh, and if ServerDevcommands is also on the server you probably need to change the option there, too. Otherwise it will over write the one on your game.

I do not, but usually Plant Everything has some extra options in the config file you can use to further change crops etc.

In your BepInEx folder there should be a folder called "config"
There you look for a .cfg file called "advize.PlantEverything"

In that case host and all players should do it.
It is easiest if one person alters the .cfg file and shares it with the other players so they can copy it.

Is there any optimise tricks (boot.config is not difference) how to speed up fps and eliminate stucking in heavy modded game? Almost 100mods. Rtd mods, odinmods, adding monsters and mechanics etc? Or just play lees mod you got more fps. I have no errors, everything is updated. Bud loading game is very slow and got 20-50fps. I think engine cant handle that

Loading into a world is fairly fast for me now to what it was.

Some warfare weapons are boss-drop only. So depending on what weapon you saw, it might be the upgrade recipe only and you have to get the boss to drop the weapon.

The host could have the cofig set to not allow forever torches - have you talked to them?

There was a mod called "infinite fires" - I've used it in the past, but I'm not sure if it's updated or not. I can't check thunderstore atm
I believe there are other alternatives under similar names - I'll search the thunderstore a bit later. There's also an auto-fuel which just puts more resin in automatically for you but still consumes resources

When you install the mod, it's default settings turn off the torches during the day and turn them on at night. You can easily change that setting, if you want them on all the time.

That mean's just what it says. You can install it on your server and have it send it's config oprions to all the players and overwrite the mod's config options on their games.

I tried it out and I can confirm that some stuff is off. Generally speaking the biomes really change how the game looks and not in a good way, the monsters well had a very bad experience cus now every thing you kill has a chance of spawning this spirit tha can be good or bad. Ofc my first boar dropped a bad one that killed me lol. Not the best start.

You can remove items from the game using wackys database. I think you can disable build pieces in a few different ways. Doesn't remove beds already built though.

Dose anybody know a mod that i could use to measure exact amount of materials use on builds? i made something in creative and now I want to do list of mats i need to rebuild it in my survival world
You might be able to accomplish that using PlanBuild. I believe you could make a blueprint of the building and then copy it in as a 'planned' and not 'direct' copy. That would require you to produce the building resources in order to 'build' the copy. And that would tell you exactly what resources you would need to build it. That information would be in the Plan Totem, IIRC.
It may not be the most direct method but, if you don't come up with another option, it could end up being your only choice.
And, I believe you could text edit the buildings blueprint and see a list of resources in there, too. Again, ...IIRC. 🙂

I checked and editing the blueprint file doesn't work. The data in there is not in a usable form.
I've never run into an upper size limit with PlanBuild. So, it probably doesn't matter how big the building it except that if you are copying it with a server world, it might take long enough to cause you to time out and disconnect. So, if you run into that, just do it on a solo game world instead.
can blueprint somehow copy also how terrain is modified? or if i put down blueprint it will build into solid ground

PlanBuld has 'terrain markers' in it's tool list but I've nerver found them to be real useful. Experiment with that and it might work for you. Other wise, paste in the copy using infinite health and adjust the height so you can see it all above ground and the parts that normally would destruct without support will stay in place regardless of a lack of support. You'll probably need to also have the InfinityHammer and ComfyGizmo mods to accomplish all that. It's going to be quite a project but doable, I believe.
Actually, you may not need to worry about structural integrity until you try to actually build it. If it comes in as a plan, it should just sit there and let you get the resource list from the plan totem without any problems. You'll need to try it, I guess. 🙂

I am seeking a way to force the world center out of the normal allowed area and probably increase the size of the map itself. I had a seed that had an Ashlands Hook and Polaris on the same map. But it was a very specific spot, and with the new ashlands generation it can no longer exist in that way. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

I'm only running a few mods, through Vortex (BepInEx, Project Auga, EldenRingStamina, Slope Hit Fix, SkToolbox, Custom Textures, NoBowGlow).
After the Ashlands patch, everything broke and no mods are working for me. There are no updates for any mod for a while now, I've tried reinstalling all mods, tried purging and deploying again. I just can't get it to work.
Has it changed how mods are installed? Am I missing something?

r2modmanager makes the whole thing much easier than any other manager ive been on. might check into it too

it does yes. normally at least. dont know if that mod changes any of that. but my last playthru i spent many many many nights running round looking before i found one. trying to make it easierr on myself. would just spawn one in if my dev commands were working

It just changes which mods work (just like every game patch). For example, the author has abandoned Auga and deprecated the mod. Simply only use mods that updated for ashlands and you’re fine.
Check your mods over at thunderstore.io and see if they're updated there for the Ashlands release. If not, replace them with equivalent mods that are.
Hello, I am the developer of the StreamToEarn program.
Our program helps to conduct interactive broadcasts of games on TikTok. For example, we have Minecraft, where events take place in exchange for gifts from viewers or for subscriptions.
The question is, is there anyone who wants/can help us make a mod for Valheim? The task at the level is to somehow connect an API server that will accept commands from the program and create mobs with names above their heads next to the player.
Does anyone know if an AoE hammer repair mod exists for the Ashlands update? Ideally not attached the entirety of Valheim +. I’ve scoured Thinderstore and didn’t manage to find anything.

I'm curious what kind of mod lists people are running who run mostly on vanilla servers. I enjoy the base game very much but it's hard to live without better hoes and mass farming etc. What kind of QoL mods do you use that are client side focused and does anyone care to share a favorite or even entire lists? I just discovered VNEI and auto pickup and want more suggestions now lol
I will eventually run my own modded server but for now I'm trying to build out a really good "non-modded server" modlist.
DigDeeper, AAV, AutoRepair.
Digdeeper can set dig depth and raise height, AAV prevents drinking mead when over a certain percentage, and AutoRepair repairs all gear that bench has on interaction.

AutoRepair is old, but functions just fine. Even on newer and modded tables.

Yeah you need to unlock the different features. It's also customizable if you want them to be unlocked by default, lots of config options

I been running around for 3 hours and not a single Copper or tin found in sight, also the usual text when i look at an object isnt popping up
i played the game before so i know what copper looks like and i even went out of my way to mine 12 rocks just to make sure it wasnt really copper
Check your logs for errors. The mod may or may not be loading correctly. The mod hasn't been updated for the current game release. That could be a problem.
If I were you, I'd search over at thunderstore.io for similar mods that have been more currently updated.

Removing the mod should be enough. But it wouldn't hurt to archive a recent copy of your world in case you later need to fall back to it.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows any up to date mods that increase the map discovery radius. It doesn't feel great having to scratch shore with my ship to get the coastline on the map. Nexus mods has few of those mods, but they were last updated in 2021 :/
There's one called Explorer by blacks7ar, which was updated 2 weeks ago (on Thunderstore). I haven't used it personally, but I've used many of their other mods and they're always super effective and reliable.
Also, Exploration by Smoothbrain. It's progressive, so you don't start out with a good viewing distance, but also has some other perks included. All configurable.

Dirty Hoe by Magic Mike is great. The recent update should have fixed it being required on the server. Otherwise it's a fantastic terrain editing mod. Valheim Tooler has a really great terrain editing tool too but that's a straight up all in one cheat mod that most servers don't want you using.

That's already how skill levels work, you do more damage the higher your skills are.

Plant Everything by Advise will cover the bushes. Infinity Hammer by JereKuusela can copy any prefab to be placed, like rocks, but also runestones, indestructible swamp tress, and such.

If im not wrong, the wards will take care of the stuff from a single player. I want something that create a group/clan, that wont dismantle and will prevent players out of the groups of opening their stuff or things like that.
You build the Ward, every "team member" thouches the ward, you activate the Ward. Now only you and your team can open doors and chest in that area.

Look in ServerDevcommands config file and see if you can create an alias in there for it.

just make a regular portal and put up a sign saying "do not go through this portal". trust me, everyone will go through it .. gamer logic , lol
The only way I am aware of is through Infinity Hammer, but that doesn't add them to the hammer per se; it's used with hotkeys to copy an existing prefab in front of you, or thru console with a command (e.g. the command hammer silvervein would allow you to place a mineable silver vein).
Ther may be a mod that allows some prefabs out there, just not sure what ones.

I just added to my server the way i did to all other mods, also installed on client side and the only thing ive changed was the key to open the hud

They need to change nocost modes name to communist mode if they gonna keep this way. If you can afford it you pay for all of it. If you can't it's free. It's not a no cost mode if it costs me. Quite perturbed by this change I must say. Not just cuz the command no longer reflects the mode but because if I want creative mode on it means I don't wanna spend my materials.
You can build it a couple of times extra then deconstructing it and you have your materials back.
Put the materials in storage is another option.
Filling in terrain. And have a craft from containers mod on soo I've gone thru about 8 thousand stone on this big leveling project. Just seems really dumb change to me that I can't think of any good reason for. It's NO COST mode for gosh sake. Does that phrase not translate properly or have different meaning in.... So either deactivate the mod for the time you want to fill in terrain or accept that it will happen.
I agree that it isn't truly no cost but putting away your materials or building extra isn't a big deal.
It's not a huge deal I agree. But I do get aggravated having to work around clearly bad decisions. They should spend their time working on things that need changes. Instead they're changing things that are nonsensical and ONLY will serve to complicate things for players. Can you think of any reason even a bad one besides that? Asking legitimately
It might not have been intentional besides that if it has been changed deliberately I find it a weird decision.
Maybe they changed it to test things build the normal way versus the free way in a fast way.

Yes. Very much so. Have a craft from storage mod so it's pulling from storage if near base when I am in devcommands with nocost command. Once my storage is empty then it becomes free

It's called no cost mode. Should be no cost. And i didn't use debug mode unless that's the same as entering dev commands in console. By the modifier do you mean at world start? Haven't tried that but assumed it'd behave the same as putting it in no cost mode thru commands.

It shouldn't, no cost from debug mode works differently than the modifier version.
You can notice that by the fact alone that debug mode's no cost still gives you resources when dismantling pieces while modifier no cost doesn't.
That might imply that it's better coded or more stable in comparison. Debug mode no cost is for testing only after all

yeah first test the world modifier instead of using the debugmode, it should be different.
I'll try that. Was under the impression that devcommands mode was different than debug mode. Thought you had to enter a debug mode command once you were in devcommands mode to get there.
Ah my friends. Thanks very much for the suggestion. Nocost modifier in fact does not use my materials. Oh how I wish I'd learned this lesson 10 thousand stone ago. Logging out to change setting is a bit inconvient but far better than visiting mountains over n over to refill my stockpile

If I were you, I'd check the respawn time in the CLLC config file and then put put up a really simple bit of construction in one of the dungeons. Then come back tomorrow and see how it help up. That way you'd know for sure. 😄

It shouldn't delete your build, but should still respawn stuff. This is partly the reason I made location reset. My mod won't reset a dungeon if you build in them or there's a tombstone inside etc.
