I would run around with Ratatosk and locate all the putrid holes/flametal deposits/fader temple(s) on my Ashlands island. I could use the putrid holes as safe havens if I'm overwhelmed or out of resources/need a rested refresh.

Only if you move into the putrid hole will it appear from the ground, otherwise it won't be triggered. Yes, you can kill them and they'll be gone permanently. This is useful or utilizing the chests in the putrid holes when overflowing.

Only if you plan on not engaging with a single thing, otherwise use something a little stronger, Ratatosk can still outrun anything with heavy armor debuffs applied.

Like anything, spawning will happen under certain conditions, it can spawn in the same place as the conditions were met there, but nothing is guaranteed.

I have a trick I use for that, make sure you can play for a long session, and when doing Ashlands keep up the "No skill drain buff" - you need a lot of food for it, die every 9+ mins, you will only loose skills once haha

and then you can do super dangerous stuff with no worries about skill loss!

no, its a buff not a second icon just the buff "No skill drain" and you can keep refreshing it, it will say "The gods have mercy" or something when you die instead of the skill loss message

you have to die again before it runs out to reset it to max duration, which means you will also need to eat again after

Basically you progress through each biome: gather materials from them, fight their enemies and lastly the boss, then continue to the next biome and repeat.

Each boss drops something that helps progressing next biome.

Hey so- for building a basement. How would people reccomend doing that? Having the building on supports and having the basement be inside of said support layer, or digging one out underneath the building

Digging it out is possible just tricky to be precise with, especially in larger basements. You'll have to start on very flat terrain if possible, but also well above the water level.

Not exactly, you'll want the flat to be natural or on an existing POI. Terrain only stretches so far from it's original generation, and starting with a flat area guarantees you'll be able to drop the terrain downwards evenly.

Change the parry bonuses.
Give BA the higher raw block armor, but have a lower parry bonus so you're more incentivized to just block if you need to.
By contrast, give the 2-h sword a lower block armor, but a higher parry bonus. So you cannot block as effectively, but you can parry things if you time it.

Had the craziest most unfortunate series of events in valheim

We were trying to navigate the mistlands Islands to get to the bottom right of the world.
First thing that happened was my gf died which was fine cause her body was on the pathway to where we needed to to.
Crashed into rocks several times cause there was a nonstop heavy storm.
Halfway through we ran into a serpant in the mistland waters
Got a warning for a world save as we were trying to navigate and kill the serpant
Found a spot to dock but as we were waiting for the storm to settle the world save happens in the middle of everything.
My game ends up crashing presumably due to how much was going on.
I reload the server, I back at where I last slept. The boat is where we started the journey, my gf is floating in the ocean where we last were.
So now she swims to the little archipelago of mistlands only to get jumped by a seeker soldier and dies cause she got stuck in a hole
This all happened in like the span of 15 minutes before I had to leave for work.

Battleaxe is one of the safest options in the game, directly behind atgeir, and the damage is virtually outmatched.

it's better to use a flashdrive, you just find your locallow valheim folder and copy the whole thing there after formatting it

that's kind of intense, you can just switch from save to cloud to save to local and then back to cloud. it makes a local version of that state of your file and when you want to revert you just look for the local file and click restore all in the game menu

just remember to do the same thing with your character
