How long until yulttide event ends?
bone throne + brenna trophies go hard
it also looks great with the black marble one too
thx
No, 6 January.
oh
Guys, if I want to join a vanilla public server, should I first remove BepInEx folder and relevant files (I'm using a few mods on my SP world) or will the mods be auto-disabled when I try to join?
who can join to my serv
does every swamp have abomiantion
I am playing it right now. This will help me to reach 20+ comfort the legit way.
Most of them have it since it dependent upon the spawner which itself is dependent upon size of swamp.
does abmonation respawn at the same place they get activated\
keep it in #1024264966712340510 pls
Taken from the wiki : "They will not respawn in a zone during the cooldown period of 4000 seconds or around 66 minutes. "
Use this wiki link for more details@elder horizon https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Abomination
the abomination ai is so stupid it went to fight the lox in the nearby plains instead of me how am i supposed to go get the loot
carefully
is there any way to stop getting ganged up by other mobs when i fight abomination
Let that be. Plains will wreck you since you are not prepared for it.
im talking about the druagr
not what he was responding to lol
those u have to kill fast enough. use blunt weapon like mace and priortise archers
i hate those 2 star archers
We all hate those 2 star archers
For draugrs it doesent matter which type of physical dmg you do 🙂 and since they are fighting abom at the same time it would be best to use slash
I carry both weapons so I find it faster but they can use slash as well.~~
For abom its the best physical dmg since they are resistant and very resistant to blunt and pierce respectively while being neutral to slash 🙂
do the winter stuff dissapear after winter?
is root armour or iron armour better
root imo, but iron if you think you're gonna get hit by fire stuff
idk, what kind of playstyle are you doing??.
casual i just dont wanna keep dying
on my hard/very hard runs i use root armor up until last biome
but i dont get hit by fire stuff
no i mean like build
shield and a weapon
well iron then
If you're playing normal you can block everything non-starred in swamps and mountains with a banded shield and root armor.
There's not much point wasting hundreds of iron on iron armor when wolf armor is just around the corner and much easier to farm the mats for.
yeah but if you're doing a warrior build then its a principle of the matter to not use that weak flimsy trash 😤
nah go iron if you're on casual difficulty. he's gonna get melted by cultists if hes wearing root
i speak from experience when i was new
obviously don't fight the fire enemies while being very weak to fire. 😅
You can upgrade to wolf gear before entering frost caves though.
No, the yule season buildings will stay, same with midsummer stuff
sweet
ya but thats easier said than done when you're new
even when you're experienced it can be tricky. you open a door and it's right there starting it's fire cast
which is why you upgrade your armor first before entering a frost cave
the fire weakness still fucks u
how so? Nothing in the mountains outside frost caves does fire damage.
the stuff in the frost caves
yes, which is why i'm telling you to upgrade to wolf armor before entering one
but going into the mountains in root to mine some silver and grab some wolf pelts is not a problem
you're gonna be missing out on a ton of caves then, going back & forth lmao just go iron armor m8
tbh you should still be not using root in plains because of torch fulings + shamans
*IF YOU'RE NOT AN EXPERIENCED PLAYER
i'm not seeing the logic. It takes maybe 2-3 silver veins for a full set of wolf armor and the only things you need frost caves for is fenris gear, so you can just mark them on the map and come back once you're not vulnerable to fire.
aight im not having this convo anymore i said plenty. from a newer player perspective its just easier to go iron thats all
iron armor on the other hand costs you 150 iron for a maxed set that you will not be wearing for long because wolf is superior in every way.
also i never said go for a maxed set, just go iron chest instead of root chest
iron armor is fine
oh more of that conversation about "wasting" iron or bronze, of which there is tens of thousands of in a world for those willing to do that extra effort.
It's not about there not being enough iron, it's about spending a ton of it on something you're barely going to use.
i use fully upgraded iron armour, its really no biggie.
is there an easier way to deal with spawners in dungeons cuz they keep spawning so i cant take it down without dying
idk shoot with bow
bow or stagbreaker
You don’t really need root armour in the mountains anyway, the only enemy with pierce is just the pointy mountain golem right
yeah i never liked the AI change
how to make level 5 galdr station
Pretty much. It's mostly because it's cheap and will serve you well enough until you get mountain gear as long as you avoid cultists. You may as well wear troll since it's got about the same defense, but i'm assuming most people craft root for swamps anyway.
if the enemy can't hit you under a certain time period, it just scampers off in a direction
gets super annoying getting abom roots when the thing just decides to take a bath under the ocean
Eh I were rocking troll armor until just before bonemass, then I crafted up some iron armor for mountains just lvl 1 and have been upgrading to wolf armor slowly
Got just the chest left but I’m just gonna stick to iron chest until plains where I’ll swap it out for root armor
generally i go through armor sets in order in a playthrough
leather > troll > iron > wolf > padded > carapace
oh lvl 5 nvm u cant
Where would you place root and fenris on that list
Fenris is good, lots of free mobility
Fenris is goated for plains exploration
so staff of fracturing stays lvl 3?
u have to say difficulty when ranking gear i think
or take the metaphorical bull by the horns and simply snipe the deathsquito
little guy has only 10 hp, what's it's gonna take?
ya
ya hit it b4 it hits u
5head
Circle, charge, repeat, simple pattern
As long as you keep your shield up to date you can block/parry most stuff just fine in Fenris (on normal difficulty), at least up to Mistlands. So not much point crafting padded at least, though you may want carapace for Queen and initial Ashlands entry if you're not confident in your dodging skills.
real Gs only need demolisher for queen 💯
never really use the root set come to think of it
i generally hear the deathsquito coming anyway 9 times out of 10
nothing an occasional 180 can't do
if only the plains theme didn't have actual mosquito buzzing built into it to throw you off
is trollstav worth it?
Yes
yeeeeees very worth. you can summon trolls into forts while you are outside of it and then afterwards just go in and collect loot. just hug the wall and aim at this location #screenshots message
also on final boss u can just keep summoning trolls and they do almost all work for you
how about dundr
It's not as good but still a fun and powerful weapon in the right situations
i dont use it but i heard its OP if u parry + shoot w it
Especially against morgens, they're weak to lightning
Just remember that parrying risks breaking your shield so only do it in a safe situation
dundr oneshots twitchers and marksmen even without a parry if your skill is high enough. The knockback also makes it decent against charred warriors and most other melee enemies, though for valkyries i prefer the frost staff.
Only downside is you pretty much have to be at point blank range to make it useful. Well that and it sucks down eitr like it's going out of style.
stagger bar you mean
They never changed the AI
Which patch notes say they did?
Oh just generally saying
Really hate it when enemies just
Run off from you in the middle of fighting
Those goddamn greylings...
Clearly a glitch. Why would they make it intentional that enemies run away out of nowhere?
They never did until recently
I heard something about cheesing the queen
i don't think i find her hard particularly, i just hate the layout
the bug mines just straight up unsettle me, out of all areas of the game
feels very wrong to be in
Are you letting them attack? If an enemy can't attack for a certain amount of time, they'll stop fighting.
Does it include parrying?
ikr, especially when u walk down stairs into the deeper level of it. looks like something out of the Alien movies
They have to attack for you to parry them, so yes
Or do you just mean them circling you a little instead of completely losing aggro?
True, especially the baby bugs
Some the circling is intentional, like fulings
they Want you to waste stamina chasing them, cheeky lil bastards
Creepiest room in bug mines is the one with 2 pools, the ceiling covered in egg cases
ya entire mistlands is creepy af. icky bugs and organic matter. hearing footsteps outside of ur vision range
To think the initial concept was gonna be giant spiders
Also living blimps that coat you in napalm, that also drop body latching surprises
such a good biome, i hope deep north has similar level of creativity
and not just mountains 2.0
Given the whole northern lights post, maybe 24/7 night
maybe indepth snow mechanics n such
And Faders drop will allow us to make snowshoes? 😄
Enemies run away even if they're in front of you and can directly hit you, sometimes before you attack them
Usually right after you attack them
greydwarfs making you chase them into a stone tower with 5 of their buddies
mmm deep north, love to see more experiments with new weird mechanics
I'd like to see every enemy trying something new
Nothing like fulings that feel like stronger versions of previous enemies
I’d love some kind of necromancer enemy that keeps spawning mobs
Idk if the Ashland’s fortress wizards do that I’ve not reached there yet
Maybe like a frozen tower kinda structure thing with a evil necromancer inside that continues to spawn enemies around as you approach
Interesting idea, could require the catapult to take it down effectively 🤔
Ooo yeah or to just drop in with the feather cape and go straight for the evil wizard
Abyssal harpoon his ass off the tower
wait, the only real things u need to clear mines is bronze atgeir, maybe stagbreaker, ooze bombs, right?
Ooze bombs alone are enough.
There's more than enough ledges and such to avoid melee completely
I'd plan for about a stack of bombs per mine
I started carrying ooze bombs in the mistlands, I mostly like them to hunt hares but they also do good in mines if you are patient
helo wath date can we start building the chrismas tree?
about nowish
Yep, since this morning
did they just enable to yule items?
oh holy crap it is the first of December now, of course they did.
i'd used devcommands to decorate my village early... by one day 🥴
Hellooo! Any tips on harpooning a Lox? It seems to go through it
pvp is enabled?
wait so pvp enabled disables the harpoon on lox?
oh that makes more sense yea
Yep, it's a tamed one, so it needed to be active
Yule time! Finally Confort 19
oh yeah! gotta go put up all my trees.
nice. time to build some trees
@light moat don't think bosses should regain hp upon death they already have passive regen, and in the later bosses like queen/fader their passive regen is so high, like 200 or 400 hp/min where the death already is punishing enough
Gotcha, thanks for the answer!
They're enabled automatically on the 1st December
Is it possible to change the radius of a ward?
Nope.
can the bogwitch still spawn if i have most of the map uncovered before the update?
New content spawns only in undiscovered areas.
There's a chance you could've explored every spawn point
There’re some Vikings of LATAM does who would like to play with VC?
Oh, sorry
As said above it is possible you have explored all the places she can be at, you can use the map generator and use the files of your current world to see where she might be tho
if you can't find her, dev commands can fix that issue, something something placehere I think
just keep in mind it places the witch exactly where you are, so I recommend you do it in a fairly flat swamp area
can also check the valheim map viewer
yo guys i need help
What ddo you need helping with? 😄
so i got the cauldron and didnt unlock mead
idk why
It's almost like Mead isn't made in the cauldron...
You need to make a mead ketill 🙂 its a new work station from bog witch update
omg im so dumb tyyy
Man this game really consumes you lol
At work thinking about valheim go to sleep valheim wake up valheim
And then I have so much to do I need to go swamp pillaging, burial chamber pillaging, gather resources for my next base the grind just doesn’t stop
I’m thinking a nice mountain castle and going to plains to gather up some tar for better deco
Looking to join a server, decent fighter, better builder, 375hrs solo play. Anyone ?
servers-and-lfg
I have a dedicated server that’s not begun yet we are still gathering more people currently have around 5 interested of varying skill levels, would you be interested?
the world is default with player based raids
Sounds promising, I'd be glad to display my building skills for someone other than my cat lol.
I’m currently at work but I can add you to it after work in around 4-5 hours, dm me your steam64 id
Shakes hand Count me in !
Good to hear hope to see you on the server, the server is based in Uk btw
wow stagbreaker is so OP in burials
Hello vikings... I have a question.. I am playing with my friend, we started building a base, to speed up i am using console and devcommands as a host... Question is - how can she also use this devcommands and debugmode on my server?
No unfortunately, only host can use the commands
Thanks!
If you're the one hosting, you may turn on the "No building cost" modifier so you can both build with all pieces you've already discovered.
The command nocost might also be good, but perhaps too strong.
As this also includes crafting items, not just building.
bruh i swear to odin, i break a workbench to reposition it, instant neck all up in my biz

does anyone wanna help me flatten out some land
yk, if the crystal battleaxe actually got more spirit damage it wouldn't be a bad choice for the ashlands
I am kinda fine with weapon from 3 biomes earlier to not be that good in ashlands xD
meanwhile, the silver sword
Yeah... but to be fair, its not that great anywhere exept yag and ashlands so i would let that slide ||(yeah i know that is true maybe even more for battle axe but i didnt think that far in my first comment ok? XD)||
I just hope we get some of the niche weapon classes filled out with deep north, sucks that so many weapon types got screwed over by ashlands
Adding a later battleaxe would be better than buffing the one we have now
I agree lol, I was just pointing out that it's interesting the crystal battleaxe of all weapons isn't a horrible choice for charred
i just want melee to be good again
it never really stopped being good
like look at all those cool lightning weaps in ashland but melee is a fcking pain to play
*talking about vh
well, the game isn't balanced around vh
all prev biomes are fine on melee
just in ashlands the projectiles + mob density makes it painful af
I don't think most people play very hard, or most development choices are balanced around very hard.
ya but read what i said man, all prev biomes are fine w melee on vh
its only ashlands where it gets broken
it looks from what i've seen fine in the ashlands still, as in adequate.
root harnesk is definitely needed for ashlands even on hard
normal not so much as you can pretty much ignore archers and twitchers
and now we're talking about root for some reason
what have u seen?
ahh that youtuber waffles was playing very hard using flametal armour and melee, i saw a few clips here and there, brutal sure.
probably not the best person to look at for good gameplay
aight so i check his vh playlist and first thing i see is a 160 eitr bar lmao
🤔 i wouldn't know...i just found him and saw a few videos, anyone willing to play on very hard i consider to have more authority on knowledge of the game than i...
his action bar has staffs and bow and klossen
the impression i got from him was never that melee was bad, mostly due to chain lightning effects.
It is definitely doable with melee, very hard is just very hard no matter what you play
way less hard on mage tho
no. very hard = normal if you are mage
honestly tho i'm just glad they gave us very hard, hopefully after 1.0 they can flesh it out more.
I agree the difference with mage is much less noticable
as the playstyle is pretty similar
dude just try it urself. run stamina setup melee. you're gonna be doing 1v2s at most with melee, bowing most mobs and 1v1ing morgens
and gl with ashlands mob density, randomly throwing 5 mobs at you, some asksvins
meanwhile mage just throw some vines down and hop around fireball archers
i want melee to be same power as mage
IMO the damage output of mobs needs to be tuned down for hard and very hard so that parrying is still relevant even on very hard. It would just make melee stronger without really affecting magic
true prolly, i miss parrying stuff
it'd be a lot of effort but if they can make difficulty sliders like v risings, it'd be phenomenal (new attacks, different timings, animations, new phases/variants etc, essentially stuff more than just buffing numbers)
up block values or whatever it is, so u can parry stuff
oh man v rising what an amazing game. 1v1ing ppl there is some of the most fun ive had in gaming
like going to those duel servers and just spending hours
For now I just enjoy hard the most, very hard is just too unforgiving, not many hits you can tank
ya hard is cozy in a strange way
shame that the pvp is actually putrid now with the crazy strong legendaries
i mean if mage is so good then i would much rather see melee buffed than to have mage nerfed, i hate nerfs.
It's just the sweet spot where you can't just roll over everything of the current biome once you are geared up like normal
staff of the wild might be too powerful imo
well and the fact that it's stronger on the harder difficulties is another issue that needs to be resolved
I saw you mention this, why is that?
it's a world modifier bug that existed when hildirs quest came out
Increased enemy damage applies to creatures on the player/tame faction
Oh I see, that definitely should not be the case
I mean theres not a single weapon in the game that was so "too powerful" to me that it negated difficulty, i still died as a mage, i still died using the root staff, there were still close calls.
i think it would be fine for the troll from trollstav to get the buff but everything else really shouldn't
I was just playing on hard with a mage using it and I was shocked at how much damage the vines did
i think it's a known issue but just not a priority, hopefully 1.0 it's fixed
I do agree that the berserkir meads are probably a bit too strong, it made the last 3 fights so much faster but I did enjoy using them
honestly they'd be fine if bonemass didn't completely override them
It took 7 minutes to kill fader with 2 of us, mage died early on so wasn't participating for a couple minutes. It took me a lot longer on normal before the bog witch
Holy jeebus! The wreath costs 4 pinecones?!.
Does the farming skill increase the tree seed drop rate?
Or the woodcutting skill?
Nothing increases the seed drop rate from trees afaik (well the resource modifier but no skill)
its possible to run out of oak and birch trees right? considering you get less than enough seeds to replenish
I imagine it would be a pretty hard task lol but i do find myself struggling with finewood atm pre plains
yes, it's technically possible. I think the acorn drop rate is better than birch seeds, yet another reason to plant Oak over Birch.
might just be RNG though.
oaks are sustainable
That's good to know. I never cut down oaks because they're so rare. But if acorns drop frequently I'll start cutting them and plant an oak forest at home.
Also oak gives best return. Each tree drops 50 mixed wood and finewood
Agreed
So for me the main thing is i wish i had more options in each biome ngl like in the Ashlands everything is weak to spirit but wtf even does Spirit damage?
The Crystal battle-axe frostner mistwalker silver knife silver sword spinesnap ashfang silver arrows most of which are mountain tier so they're basically useless the only KINDA useful maybe thing is mistwalker and silver arrows
just as an fyi, silver sword and mistwalker are comparable in damage, and silver sword takes less stamina, and silver arrows aren't really a good option
I think I figured out why I had frequent crashes. A memory test returned like 72 errors before my system crashed completely. I was trying one of my two ram dimms. Right now I am functionning with the other dimm, see how it goes.
It doesn't just matter that a weapon does spirit damage, it also matters how much. L4 Silver sword does a massive 45 spirit damage - on top of the normal slash damage a mountain tier weapon does, not replacing part of it - and charred are weak to spirit increasing that to 67,5 for a total of 160 base damage per strike. Which is more than Ashlands gem swords and equal to Dyrnwyn. And as Scales said it costs 25% less stamina to swing on top of that.
Are the mistlands inspired by the Steven king novel?
I wouldn't have thought so.
is plains or mountains after swamp
Mountains
Eh fair enough i didnt remember it doing that much base im wrong I'll admit it lmao
I feel like drynwyn should hit harder though at least in the fire damage department
That makes me really sad that my level 4 silver sword got deleted and frostner got duped
Mistwalker also does frost which induces slow tho
Mistwalker if you wanna play it safe and silver sword if you are more comfortable killing them quickly
The slowing effect is what makes frostner so good to use whack dodge jump middle attack
it’s why it’s so viable from mountains onwards
what should i try and get first in the mountains
warm
Do you have swamp tier equipment? Probably silver, but keep an eye out for onion seeds in chests.
seriously, yes. Find silver so you can make armor that keeps you warm without quaffing potions.
the wolf cloak requires a wolf trophy and silver.
is the eikthyr or bonemass ability better for mountains
that's a tough question. If you're not used to the enemies, bonemass is pretty useful.
But you're jumping all over the place because of the vertical movement, so Eikthyr is too.
I guess it depends on whether you're fighting or exploring.
Early mountains you will definitely benefit from either tbh you can’t go wrong with it
If you find yourself dying more due to damage then boneless if due to lack of stamina then eikthyr
probably bonemass if it's your first time in the mountain, there's a fun raid that can happen that you'll appereciate having bonemass for
I recommend rushing silver weapons and cape or wolf chest asap tho
I was rocking bronze shit so silver was a very big upgrade but if you have maxed iron gear it should fare well
Shield, sword, Draugr Fang or Frostner; depending at which weapon you prefer.
Can also craft parts of the Wolf Armor if you want to have better protection.
Eventually you will craft one of the melee items and the new bow anyway; moving around in either Wolf armor or Fenris Armor with the Drake helmet for extra protection.
But keep in mind, to get Fenris hair you will need to enter caves where one of the foes uses an attack which is best countered by.........
.... Fenris Hair.
60-70 defence is fine for cultists tbh I got ambushed and didn’t go below half health
As long as as it’s not a 1-2 star lol I got lucky
Yoooooo
can cultists have stars in caves?? ive got 1200 hrs and have only seen starred cultists in the Geirrhafa raid
Is it just me or is the fact cultists have a poison weakness weird and random
Just found out cultists are weak to poison too so I recommend draugr fang and poison arrows
a lot of the weaknesses dont make a whole lot of sense
Eh idk I think from a game balance perspective it’s good to have them weak to something
Sense yes to me they do it just doesnt feel like idk usable?
What should they be weak to instead?
specifically because its an element you ‘discover’ in the previous biome yes, from a progression perspective it does make a lot of sense
Idk maybe the things covered in fur should be weak to fire not resistant to it? Or even better make use of the spirit damage all the silver does
It’s a pyromancer so flame immunity makes sense
Just because im a swordsman doesnt mean im immune to swords
That is insanely goofy logic
Well now you are comparing physical to elemental
elemental damage is different, if theyve found a way to harness and use it, chances are they can also protect from it
thats less obvious and doesnt make a whole lot of sense
And why weak to poison
they have such low hp anyway that u dont rlly need to worry about elemental damage
Agreed squishy
Absolutely they're weak AF
But my point is weaknesses and resistance don't have a pattern
Like other than fire and blunt
point is, they need something to be weak to everything to give a use for them
coz if cultists weren’t weak to poison i probably wouldnt ever use poison arrows
fulings arent weak to anything tho
thats fine
Fulings aren’t resistant to elemental
They dont need to be
they also dont resist anything
Exactly but that also makes that their weakness
Fulings are actually perfect ngl
meaning every damage source is viable and you arent pigeon-holed into using a certain weapon
like in ashlands, fire and pierce dmg isnt viable so ur kinda forced into other options
Yo i want more use for troll hide
Fulings strength is in their numbers
Fulings are based af as enemies idngaf
exactly, they’re fairly weak individually because they always send 20+ of them at a time
Idk but I think for the most part a lot of the resistances make sense
yeah
Of course a lox is resistant to blunt and frost, it’s thick and covered in blubber and fur
seekers being resistant to physical damage makes sense because its a giant bug with carapace
of course a troll is weak to piercing, it had thick troll hide
Yea makes sense literally but i find they're kinda niche
that can be easily pierced
they’re useful enough
Trolls felt good like trolls are a good example of feels useful
they make the game easier but it is completely optional to utilise them
having niches really helps make the game more complex and engaging
if everything was resistant to the same thing the game would be boring
Yea i hate carrying 7 weapons on me is all
Like when you realise root chest is perfect for the plains but suddenly you need to counter the shamans with fire resistance
same with weakspots, i do wish more mobs had weakspots but thats just me
I carry a frostner and a bow rn for the mountains and that’s it
Ive literally never used the root chest
you never need to, just primary weapon and bow
2/3 physical dmg types covered
Need ❌ like ✅
Another mistake you make at the beginning is always carrying food with you
Whats wrong with carrying food
you should, the armor tradeoff is more than worth the benefits
Is it?
That’s 3 inventory slots going to waste, and why people complain about inventory problems
it halves the dmg of all archers, fuling spears, seeker attacks and charred warrior stab attacks
I wouldn't call it a waste i go on long journeys
When I go exploring I only take 1 of each food
and morgen bites
Then store it in a boat?
Then you dont go very far lmao
Do that with loot i grab? It ends up being the same
You have to bring it with ANYWAYS so
That's a day's food...
Well everyone is free to play how they want but I benefit a lot more from keeping the bare minimum food on me to conserve inventory space and weight
I go out for in game weeks 🙏
how to survive you are being hunted
Leave
Kill wolves.
exactly, most food lasts an entire 21mim day cycle anyway
fully stacked food at home or on a boat is more than enough for long trips
Just leave the circle
and there’s portals to go back home whenever to replenish rested and food bonus
Well thats why i like feasts
50m is so nice ngl
well thats nearly 2 whole days yes, but less overall benefit
Even less need to carry more then.
I imagine the feasts make sense for long boss fights? I’ve still not played around with them haven’t located bog witch yet
i like how they look but lowkey i dont use them
Well they make sense in general they're a balanced food and give good amounts of both
the duration isnt worth the reduced hp
I typically take 2 feasts and a normal food
Doesn't reduce that much tbh
well dont take the feasts WITH you
it’s enough to be annoying, especially late game
Not WITH no they weigh a ton
I haven't noticed tbh
did you play before the update?
Which update
also i use root chest so i prioritise more hp to make up for the lack of armor
bog witch
Nah i haven't tried the root chest
if you do, youll wanna use more hp rich foods
coz at max level the root chest only gives like 20 armor
It’s absolutely goated for plains and mistlands if you find ways to combat the fire weakness
max root with wolf is like what 67 armor?
More even?
I believe it’s 70 if I added it up correctly
26+26+14+4
That takes an 85 damage blunt or slash attack from Fulings to like 20-40 (??) and a piercing attack from deathswuitos and javelin dudes to like 10-20
and at that point you have like 170+ hp
agreed, i even use it into ashlands, it makes archers and morgens even easier
not to mention that every single melee attack fader has does pierce
How bad are lava blobs with it
70 blunt 30 fire and you have I imagine around 80-90 armor?
i mean i never get hit by them coz i always roll
but idk i dont think its too bad, especially if you have good mistlands hp food
what is the best armour for mountains
Fully maxed iron armor pre mountains
Fully maxed wolf armor or fenris during mountains
is wolf or fenris better
situational, try both and see which suits you better
I like both personally but I’m currently rocking wolf armor
The main reason being I don’t have enough wolf pelts or fenris hair or a god damn cultist trophy
Pre ashlands player
I might try the root chest but we'll see
This - this is always the bloody problem! 😂🤭
Do you like moving faster or do you like being more tanky?
Fenris for run faster but die quickly or wolf for heavy armor 🔥
hopefully in the future we get 2handed swords that you can craft in the earlier biomes. maybe the 2handed axes expanded in other materials as well maybe. they are cool weapons.
Unlikely at this point.
well the thing is we kinda cant have a bronze 2 handed sword since the krom already uses bronze, same with iron
it would be kinda weird imo
it would be nice to have some degree of magic early on, since you can really only start levelling up elemental and blood magic halfway into mistlands
getting later weapon types in earlier stages of the game is unlikely, but we can hope for some new stuff in deep north that expands on some of the forgotten weapon types like battleaxes
regardless of how "likely" it is, it would still be cool AF. they are fantastic weapons
Mistlands tier battleaxe would be cool, maybe partial lightning damage. Hilt like Jotun Bane but blueish glow.
(IMHO Jotun Bane would look better as battleaxe than 1h)
I just want a fuckin ashlands atgeir I'm still livid that I didn't get one
I tried atgeirs once I hit plains and they ended up instantly being my favorite melee, and now I just have to deal with the fact that every ashlands melee does what himminafl does better for the most part
I do like my lightning axes a lot but I can't help but feel sad about not having my funny stagger stick
I find Himminafl still useful in Ashlands, if not for damage then for crowd control ability of secondary attack.
Partial lightning damage of Himminafl helps to counter the pierce resistance Charred and Morgen have.
Plus Morgen are weak against lightning.
yes but when you compare it to the ample amount of blunt, slash, and lightning in all the ashlands melees, it ends up not being much of a contest, you use one for damage and the other for utility
Also if there was any Ashlands tier atgeirs available wouldn't they also have full physical plus 10 lightning/poison damage depending what gem has been used on it? If so, then damage vise per hit (excluding Iolite effect) Himminafl would do better against pierce resistant enemies.
Then again, would be super cool to proc multiple chain lightnings or immobility effects with secondary attack.
exactly my thinking, if each hit is 25% to proc lightning then you'd be highly likely to get a chain lightning off with each alt attack in a crowd
is the food combo 2 stamina and 1 health
is there sivler mace
Frostner.
There is a silver hammer - uses the same skill tree as maces
I want a new pickaxe
What would it do?
This is one of my favourite things 🤩
Get surrounded by enemies, start swinging, watch them all fall to a burst of lighting 😂
Idk, be better
New how?
Better than the mistlands tier?
You break most things in 1-2 hits already, how much better do you want?
Aoe
Frostner good, knockback can be annoying but at the same time useful
Simple answer.
Troll stick
So you don't want a new pick.
You want a broken as fuck overpowered pick.
👍
Exactly
#mods-discussion is available for people who want broken as fuck overpowered things.
OH!!! I completely forgot!
I used Dundr on a fallen log the other day
Based on just how AWESOME it was,
I am going to design a ballista and use fallen logs as ammo 🤣
never knew log piles appeared in abandoned villages
I'm not serious about aoe, all the picks are just better versions of each other.
Minus the stamina consumption
When asked directly what you wanted, you answered "aoe."
And now you're saying "I was asked a direct question and I decided to give a non-serious answer because hehe funny I like trolling people."
Ok then.. 👍
a few pickaxe swings eat your stamina bars like nuts
I think we need to throw a troll at this one 😂
You are way too serious
always good to keep a low tier pick as a general excavation tool
BM Pick breaks most everything in 1-2 hits so it's meh.
For landscaping, use the Antler.
@ionic iron , CATCH!
you can't upgrade the antler but at the same time
you can repair it just about anywhere
Honestly that pickaxe is just so good
I stopped making iron or bronze picks until I need silver
Antler is just better 🥳
doesn't help eik gives you 3 hard antlers, allowing you to make 3 picks
Also, I was asked directly and said be better. Further pushed for an answer I said aoe
Silver popping never gets old, the exception of nodes that spawn inside bedrock
I always skip bronze and get iron, the iron pick is a noticeable enough buff compared to the antler one that I don't mind having to go to a forge to repair
bronze gear is def skippable minus the axe(more comfort from finewood/making fermenter barrels) and the trusty farming tool
Gear in general or just picks?
Because I always get bronze and skip iron in terms of overall gear.
Think i get buckler, axe and farming tool, sometimes skip the pick
oh and def mace
the power attack always kills a slime, and knocks away oozers
Man i just experienced the weirdest shit
My world replaced itself with another world of the same name...that i never had? with random modifiers and nothing in the world and a different seed
...like...i don't think anyone snuck onto my computer but lol wtf...
You use cloud saves? Maybe someone using your steam account or something…
This alien world was on a cloud save and i restored my real save that was local
god i love those extra tall mistland spires...they're so pointless but so awesome 🤤
Hey guys! I'm a returning player and I saw this feast thing and made me want to reinstall.
Though I have some questions.
Can we eat the foods that are placed on the table? If not, are there any clues/sneak peeks etc. that suggest that we'll be able to do that soon?
Thank you!
you can
You can eat any foods you place with serving tray, but feasts require placing before eating.
We can eat the feasts that are on the table (they have 10 portions each)
I like to make 3 different feasts and use them as my food for general exploring or farming at home
When I tackle a dungeon or a more dangerous activity I use the good foods 🥰
Welcome back! 🥳
I perma use 2 best feasts and 1 best food depending the stat I need. 👌
Hey, I am searching for pig remains (after a base invasion) and have found a lot of meat lying around. I was wondering, does baby pigs drop meat or not? I have not found any trace for any pig except my one 2-star adult. I tried the fandom, but it only covers drop rates from adult pigs. :)
I dont think they drop anything 🤔
baby pigs drop nothing at all compared to babies of other tamable creatures
Considering I have not found any traces of them, that seems to be the case.
also base invasion, oof, you want a full house for animals, least a barn
Other tamable creatures? They exist? How fun! (Please don't expand)
Yes, but i won't spoil
Was in the middle of construction of that. :)
Unfortunate timing. I just have to find another boar, and then I can put it in the now-empty barn.
Thank you! :)
Star boars are more likely to appear farther from spawn
heck 2 star boars never appear close to spawn
Yeah, I am based in the center of the main island, but it stretches almost all the way to the edge of the world, so I can find boars around my area, right?
You can tell if a creature is tameable because when you get close and aim at it you will see that it’s wild and hungry or wild and frightened
It doesn't have to be found on a "secondary" island?
OOH! Now that is some interesting information! I'll use that to figure out what can be tamed :)
Yes, you still have a star boar left yes?
When tamed creatures breed, the game rolls a 50/50 for either parent to pass the stars down to the child
ex: 2 star boar breeds with non starred boar, the game either gives you a 2 star/starless child
Nope. I was at the start of my taming arc. I only had a 2-star and a starless boar. I had 3 2-star children, but I lost them. Hence the initial question.
Ah, good luck then
I have researched that, yes.
That and kiting the boars back
Dunno if you found the harpoon yet, but it's super useful
Thank you :)
I don't really mind, as I can do other things while hunting. Quite fun game, even if some parts can be frustrating. I just wanted to make sure the hunt was needed. It is not that fun.
I know about it, but I have not made one yet. I have not had to travel on sea just yet.
Let the boar hit you on purpose to keep up the aggro, creatures that stray far from their spawning point try to return to it, especially animals
Thanks. I appreciate the help. Do keep it to a minimum, though. I am a fan of figuring things out myself.
No problemo
Now I have to go to class. Cya around.
Is being able to save the password to a server already in the game or do I have to input password every single time??
you gotta input password to server every time
dude I still haven't tried Ashlands cuz our playthrough's on hiatussss
u dont need password for multiplayer, just dont check it
or does the host want there to be a password?
im sure you needa password for every server
there is no public servers iirc
just press Start Server in world selector and thats it
You can't start the world with this checked if there isn't a password
i just did
just leave the pass field as blank
ooh you're talking about community server
Maybe it's changed? I definitely had to use a password on a server with community server off
ya changed i guess
It needs a password if crossplay is on. I've always had to use that because my friends are on xbox. Without crossplay or community server, it needs no password
aight
Yeah, I keep using a password because I didnt know I could start a server wihout password too
Hmmm, so thats the reason, I'm doing the same haha
After more than 15 deaths total, hours of grinding - exploring - fleeing like a b..baby, tactics and studying ... finally the Misylands are now ready to be faced effectively
You got the feather cape?
Now the real fun begins lol
I have the fire potions, I use bonesnap, carap spear, the normal shield and mystwalker
Off I go for the last purple gems and magic!!
You ready for queen soon it seems
mmmh dunno
Have you found her fortress yet
I have many dungeons to find, the hen to breed, and the bog witch is still missin
I think i know where she is
you can try the valheim map viewer to see where sheis if you really dont know
You may also want to stock up on some (or more like "a lot of") extra refined eitr before killing her for upgrading your Mistland gear to L4 and if you're looking to craft the Ashlands mage gear. Stuff gets expensive but it's very much worth it.
The black forge upgrades?
craft a mechanical spring if you haven't already (at the artisan table). L4 will become available with Ashlands resources.
ooooh
bought valheim on autumn sale
You are in for a lot of fun 😄
Building, fighting, exploring 😄
where can i find people to play with on PC EU?
Look in #1024264966712340510 🙂
you all do realize that without a passwort any old bully can join and destroy or take your stuff while you are not looking? I would never ever start a server without a password...there are bad folks out there... your choice... just saying 😄
ya its a risk but anyway i wasnt talking about community server, so maybe its "friends only" server
like idk if u simply pressing start server makes it show up on public
yea but well, itsa freind only server
I would still make a password for the server though even if the community cant see it
the password does not even be super fancy.. but it is an extra layer of protection just in case. We usually have only a 6 letter word we agreed upon and done 😄 not that much of a hassle to type it in 😄
ah sooo good i am done for the day with work...time for fun 😄
Sounds like its valheim time 👀
well... it is japanese learning time and later it is italian talking time, and if then some time should be left before I need to go sleep it is valheim time...
I did plan to maybe record another video today but my italian tandem partner showed up so we gonna talk for 2h or so to practise 😄
Anyone here ever used a sealed tower as a base?
I did not, you cant build inside it, but i think you can build on top of it 🤔
also off the side, the no-build zone only covers the inside of the tower
Well, yeah, i took that for granted as you build there to get up 😅
@fresh jasper
Hello
that could be a fun build. build a tower completely encasing it. i'm assuming if you build off the tower, it counts as ground for stability purposes
I've nominated Valhiem for Labor of love.
VR Chat and and Dbd did good this year, really good! But the pasion, snappy responce to community feedback, and healthy mix ofholding firm on balance while also implementing wanted changes gives Valhiem the win!
I hope this game gets it, it would be well deserved.
Curious, how many of y’all actually use Hildirs clothing for one reason or another? 🤔
✋
i use the cap and tunic for things like farming or building / terraforming
it makes a big difference in the long run
Over the harvest set? For farming I mean
oh did she get new merch with the bog witch update?
Oh no I’m so sorry for the spoiler 😅
havent been there since but it makes sense since they overhauled the skills too
good thing ive been terraforming for a week now and not farming 😄
||yeah, harvest set is king when it comes to using clothes for farming||
So the clothes make a noticeable difference for you when doing large scale projects?
well my current chests of produce are stacked so i rarely ever go to my farm anymore but good to know thx
crap i just noticed my closet is full....and by closet i mean the chest i store random stuff in
Wonder how often they get used for role play servers or something 🤔
Fair enough!
How much stamina does it take to place an object using the hammer? Assuming no crafting skill.
I use the farming stuff for bonus seed drop chance
Does it affect tree seed drops?
oh shit, didn't realize that was even a thing!
Yeah there’s a farmers hat that gives +15 farming skill or something like that
not sure how noticeable it is but it’s nice to have and I just keep it in my farm chest with the cultivator and seeds
I didn't know it increased seed drop rate
I believe in the skills section you can hover over the skills to get some basic info about what each skill improves
Think it’s 5 don’t quote me though
Yeah 5 sounds about right
oh you just mean the generic extra drop you sometimes get with farming, not like a specific seed drop rate buff?
If it does have an extra one too I don’t know about it and can’t confirm but it does increase seed drops by having a set increase in farming skill when equipped
Hasn’t been added to the wiki yet it seems
You do need the first chest to unlock it tho
I think farming only affects crops and foragables, not seeds 🤔 edit: seeds from trees, not crops. Crops seeds are affected by the farming skill
I dont believe it does, no.
probs the seeds dropped from crops tho--at least, i'd be genuinely surprised if it didn't
Oh sorry, I meant seeds from trees- farming definitely affects seeds from crops!
figured you probs meant that--my whole confusion started because I thought someone was saying the new farm set hildir sells also has a "seed drop rate" specific buff IN ADDITION to buffing farming skill (which, then downstream, at least increases the average # of crop seeds), and I was wondering if that would affect trees (I think I just misunderstood, and it has no such seed drop rate specific buff effect)
Yeah, it only buffs the farming skill 🙂
Where's my running outfit? And my jumping outfit? And my swimming outfit? And my mining outfit? And my logging outfit?
theres potions for at least half of those
Where's my running outfit
In the frost caves. And it's been there for over two years
or powers even
You have hit your "And" quota for today. You can use "And" again tomorrow
And some have both
running: eikthyr, jumping: eikthyr (and a potion i believe. and a cape), swimming: potion. mining: queen. logging: elder.
Fader
uhhh whats fader again?
Carry weight and movement speed
ah yes movement speed
I love how every single reaction missed the point.
And opposite even.
The audacity
You'll get used to it
instructions unclear apparently
"My point is that there should be an outfit for everything non-combat"?
There are no buffs for farming, hence the set.
But there are options for all the rest, hence no sets
Potions and powers are not skill level.
Still accomplish the same thing
while they are not exactly outfit levels of constant, it still is a temporary increase in all of that
Skill levels only improve some actions minimally.
Fader increases speed, which can be translated as more terrain covered per stamina point spent
Queen's power increases mining damage, which the pickaxe skill does the exact same
does the queens power make it easier to terraform or does it just work on ores/rocks?
What's your running skill level 6 minutes after activating Eikthyr?
so, Fader. I found a summoning circle with a high dvergr tower overlooking it. Any advice on whether I should just shoot green balls down at him?
or is he just gonna break my tower down?
Idk
And depends on how low it is
that's what I was wondering. I'm easily 20m up.
probably more.
Is the question about how much exp you get during the Eikthyr buff?
where to sing up for comunity translattion for the game
I have piced up the game few days ago and i have noticed that tranlation need some work so i want to do my share forthe love of the game
So haven't played in ages started new world a few days ago I found 3 npcs I don't remember from before all sell stuff I was wondering how many there are in total I found 1 in meadow, 1 in black forest and 1 in swamp
yeah they added 1 very recently, and 1 it's been a while but also wasn't there initially
so that's currently all
there is a greyling wandering around my base with the unaware symbol, yet even when i touch him and push him he still doesnt attack me and stays unaware, why?
he's not in the mood
He is in a range of fire 🙂 that makes him not want to attack the player
oh fr? then why isnt he running?
Weird path finding? not sure
i did increase the fire range a decent bit so i can sleep without my fire nearby
not path finding, he is just walking around my base all like hes on vacation
Yeah, he is confused by the fire 🙂 he is not bothering anyone so leave him be 😄
Yeah, they are not afraid of fire
i see, thank you for your information
yeah, fenris is the sprinting set and ask is the marathon set
I love responding to comments made two hours ago
i did advocate for cooking/fishing/logging/mining/crafting clothes
how unfortunate that is
Lumberjack set is just having a big beard and a flannel
There’s a lumberjack set???
hi scarlet
Hiya~
how long does it take for a base to ferment?
like 2-3 days
Two days. Sleep at noon if you want it to go by faster
2 days as in an hour?
yes
Two in-game days, yes
Yep
~20 minutes if you sleep at noon, but i usually just go do something else in the time.
thanks guys
is there no way to build the large grausten structure pieces seen in the ruins?
sadly no, would need mods
#screenshots message @keen cliff but where all 80 seemingly necessary, or did that seem like massive overkill?
does mods like instant excavate ores ruin your valheim experience
i just used a sword and shield against fader and it was peak
i think it was pretty massive overkill, and may have made it harder actually. They made a super awkward tower piling on Fader. 60 may have still been overkill
ty for sharing your results
Kinda sounds like my fight with Yagluth with the "help" of 40 2-star wolves.
By the time I was able to even get to Yag and hit him, his health was so low it was the only hit I actually did.
Quickest fight I ever had with him, but also the one with the least fun.
well, fun is subjective. I've enjoyed tames killing things. 🙂
You called?
it's bilbo
Hammer

600 days on this world and no rancid remains trophy
might just go on a black forest murder spree
Do it
might as well, focusing on the wraith and stone golem trophies rn too
also need the fenring trophy
fenring a bait ingredient evne, smdh
ikr
why tf are drakes the north bait
it's all kinda mess--not surprised if it's a placeholder for now
They should add the griddy into the emote pool
Because we have no Deep North content yet?
derek here to completely miss the point
I mean, I don't see how answering your question is missing the point, but sure.
I know doing the smouldering tomb quest for hildir can give you the flaming skeleton raid
drakes are the more common mountain enemy you'd figure they'd be the mountain bait, and fenrings would be the deep north bait since the deep north is unfinished and few people really want to bother with going to the deep north
which gurantees a rancid remains enemy
but apparently they're swapped, I don't doubt they'll switch the ingredient when DN releases
yeah ik, same as the other skeleton raid, I've been abusing the spawns of those raids every time I get them and still no trophy
but yeah best hope for Skeleton Surprise!
doesn't gurantee a rancid remains trophy
You should see how often he misses with a bow....... 😄
the fact that fenrings trophies are used for cold fishing bait makes me less enthusiastic to remain alive
seeing as i have 0 of said trophies
yeah, I'd understand if all the fishing baits used elite enemy trophies, but then there's plains with regular fuling trophies
god I love the reworked asksvin cape but I still can't get used to not having the feather cape's slowfall
rare ass enemy with even rarer trophy
plus going to night mountains where you hope to not find more than a couple 2 star wolves
I GOT THE TROPHY RAAAAAh
now to just hope it's not a green brenna trophy because if it is I'm gonna have to farm more of these for decoration
Green brenna…
I feel there’s a good chance that the ulf trophy might be changed in the fishing bait recipe for something more relevant once the Deep North is released 🙂
Is that a star brenna
no I just mean if the rancid remains trophy has the same flame effect but in green
Now if the devs add a third flaming skellie trophy, but with a yellow or orange flame this time, we can use the three trophies as a traffic light. 😄
Howdy
well, at least the rancid remains trophy does NOT have the flame effect
so, I don't really wanna collect them
found out that ponytail 4 is the only long hairstyle that works with the ask hood, now that I have that I'm gonna go fully upgrade it
hope I have enough linen in my old base lol, we made a ton back in the plains
I wish those skeletons were in more areas
yeah, kinda silly the rancid remains don't spawn in the swamp as well
Yeaaaaa
Hi everyone
I’m new here
And a brand new Valheim player
Does a howling cavern have red jute or is that only ice caves?
Welcome 🙂
cultists drop red jute, so there should be some in there
Thanks
Hey can I hop into someone's world just to play?
I have a truly fresh character and just wanna run around with another player doing stuff.
I am playing on normal difficulty after spending the last 50 hours or so of gameplay on very hard permadeath. I feel like a god
Is it intentional that sometime all the garrison of an ashland fortress just "pours" out of it?
Yes
really? It feels like an oversight to me
Nah, it’s just general game mechanics
When you go near spawners they start dropping mobs, and mobs get attracted to loud noises.
So when you rock up with a big battering ram and start knocking down their gate, ALL of the mobs come looking
I mean its more like how they walk on their own spikes and fall outside of the fortress
Like I just stand there in near a corner and they all pool there and half of them just trip and fall outside of the fortress for me to kill. Its super weird.
They just want to say hi
Mob cramming - they push each other off the edge 😂
Well sometime they dont push each others. Its just one and it just walks over a spike and voila, half dead and confused charred warrior for me to hug.
With my sword.
To be fair the reason I say that is that today it was a nasty surprise to have like 3 warriors, 4 archers, and 1 warlock fall on my head all at the same time. It just feels really weird that it happens like that and I feel its not intentional.
hey there, you guys! Relatively new player here. What should I expect from this game?
Dying a lot.
A new favourite creature
So it's like Minecraft x Don't Starve. Got it!
I dont know about Dont Starve. I know theres no starvation in there. You gotta eat to be strong rather than to avoid dying.
eh you can have fully functioning caves in minecraft
you can't exactly make a 100% underground base in the ground barring special circumstances/structures
Its also a game where you have to plan stuff. Plan your combat, your exploration, your logistics, etc.
You really can't do this solo, can you?
sure you can. Its just that sometime the game does not pull its punches and it can feel unfair
The game is balanced primarily for solo play
like in the mistlands =_=
I hate the mistlands
Mistlands isn’t that bad
Yes it is
yeah, I thought I could take on boars with just axes. Got wrecked within 5 seconds
I will never 1 v 3 Boars ever again
You should be able to take on boars with an axe. A two star boar, perhaps not. You do need some protection and food.
Boars are scared of fire, so you can hold a torch if they’re about to kill you
Come back after you’ve eaten some berries and mushrooms
When you'll start making some armor, boars are gonna be easy.
That makes sense
also make a flint knife
2 star boars never appear close to spawn, only 1 stars
yeah well I bet those can mess up a new player too
All starred boars only spawn randomly past 800m from world centre.
One-time spawn points at locations such as runestones can always have up to two stars.
the proportionality between branches and stones is insane with random seeding
man, fists are OP earl game
well that was bullshit! I chopped a tree, tried getting out of the way but it fell exactly at the spot I was heading towards
Died to physic bullshit! 10/10 game
As one does 😄
Cut one tree down. 3 more trees fall subsequently. one somehow STILL fell on me
valheim'd
i was just stuck in the valheim meat grinder
hello, how do i enable no craft cost
cant seem to find info on it anywhere but it was in the patch notes
Jumpscared by Fenrir
i was stuck in one room in an infested mine with 4 seeker soldiers, one of them being a 2 star
they were camping me on the stairs
Use a 2 handed hammer and ooze bomb
note hammers hit in a perfect sphere through walls, and ooze bombs hit through said walls
i didnt want to make a hammer just for this
easy to acquire too
its all good i just grinded it out with frostner secondary
i forgot if there's a mistlands 2hammer, the iron sledge exists
there is a mistlands hammer, demolisher
but it needs a rare trophy from an already rare enemy type
ik it needs draugr elite trophies, which is why i didnt bother making one
true
make sure to find those hidden doors too
ive got 1200hrs dont you worry, i know what im doing 😅
Mmm
i got 17 without extra resource rate, i didnt even know it was possible
hunting hares is the most infuriating experience in the game
i’ve resorted to ooze bombs, its less annoying
definitely been there, found a crypt with no scrap piles and 3 chests without iron
best bet is crossbow, or hope plains mobs kill em for you
bet i have like 5 more hours
ratatouille mead
Type into console "devcommands" then "debugmode" and then press "B" 🙂
asatru
Yes?
hi
Hello
bros winning god damn
1175.1
devcommands > setkey nocraftcost
Do we have a notification or something when we discover a new runestone ? I can't remember
Some runestones are saved in the valheim compendium, but not most of them
OKok that's what I thought, thank you
does refined eitr like destroy itself or some shit??
i put in 20 tissue 20 sap and i get 11 eitr...
lmao ya iikr.. i routinely get 19x from 20/20 input
Is your eitr refinery close to a wall? Sometimes the eitr clips through. It doesn't destroy itself, no.
nope..
weird. I've never lost eitr that way and i've left it laying around for ages sometimes.
Must be lag - never had this issue 🙈
Duude i just remembered there was like some suggestion someone made recently to remove the bonus yield chance on harvesting from ovens because they had too much food??
weirdest shit i've seen recently
Seriously????
What is wrong with people? 🤣
"i don't need them, just takes up extra space" said with a straight face
one suggestion was to add spiders to the black forest that drop fangs and webs...........fooorrrr........reassonss i guess??...
it might not sound completely negligible idea to me if it wasn't more fleshed out
the details are foggy to me but weren't the direction of the mistlands changed completely because of peoples supposed arachnophobia?
Sounds like they suffer from uncontrollable hoarding disorder.
a real hoarder like myself says "hell yea" to that and just adds storehouse #83 to their base
Weren't ravens usually hoarders IRL too?
So that adds up.

i forgot what your previous take was....doesnt help that i am up at 4:30
That it wasnt kinda meh
I think yagluth was still cooler but i was harsher on it then i needed to be
best boss teme
Not even in my top 3 but its good
😾
Idk its cool but i wouldn't call it the best
I prefer the queen, Bonemass (purely for the music), and moder
Yagluth is cool, elder is ok, and eikthyr is… fine 😂
god i hate the queen
ahh are we still talking music, yeah her track is pretty good.
bonemasses might actually be my least favorite...for a boss fight its too subtle
Has there been any talk at all of this game coming to switch or ps5?
No, certainly not before it leaves Early Access anyway.
god this mist fucking agitates me sometimes
just trying to find an unmarked portal so i can go get wisp torches so i can see anything
lol gl, u can wield hammer in hand and wb will have hammer icon over it
arachnophobia got replaced with bugphobia due to the damn mistlands mines
well my gut reaction to that was, why not remove mountains for people that have a fear of heights, and remove the bosses for people with a fear of large things, remove night time for those scared of the dark...and so on and so forth..
creepy location with lots of murder happy bugs, also eggs and goo
Mountain biomes don't hurt people with a fear of heights 😕
why wouldnt they
Yeah, usually it's the black forest at the bottom of the mountain that hurts.
golems chucking you off a cliff because you decided to block on an uneven slope:
falling damage is a misnomer. it's actually landing damage.
why don't enemies take fall damage, seems unfair
gravity only applies to extraterrestrials like vikings.
Except that fall damage is calculated by height fallen.
yeah I know.
Know what'd be a good build piece for fun?
what?
some kind of landing pad made out of feathers
and make it with a bulls-eye pattern so you can start YEETing yourself off mountains with the catapult.
stops fall damage, and maybe the occasional player from dying to their own house
too bad i ain't a skilled builder
yeah, OHSA reps would have an apoplectic fit if they every stopped by a valheim build.
roof, walls n support
but a pretty house? all i can make is big ole cubes
not super creative guy
good place to practice.
@idle storm u remember at what ingame day u got prot staff?
im at ingame day 45, gonna quickly build base in plains and then start to head for mistlands. feels like i could have gone way faster
still havent found moder also
oh right they spawn there as well. just done 1x but marked a couple
yeah lategame altars are harder to seek out due to rng and world distance
in prev runs ive had such luck tho with moder, literally just go to high mountain and boom there it is :D
damn lucky world seeds kinda make you into a worse player because the game just feeds you
somewhere in the late 200's i think. I wasn't even trying to go fast though.
I think I’m day 107 and still in the mountains lol
My first playthrough I was at plains by like 70-80?
I am more than 150 and also mountains 😄
I could stay in the mountains forever it’s such a vibe
I just wish they could go even taller and bigger
bro how.. its a desert
it’s beautiful
Yeah, this playthrough i am taking it easy 😄
What’s the height limit on mountains like 300?
Not plains, mountains 😉
yea im thinking of doing a mega chill no death playthrough
ya mountains is a snowy rocky desert to me
Wdym?
current at day 336 i think, still looking for the perfect endgame base location before killing Yag. Though i can go kill the Queen and go to Ashlands pretty much right after that
