THere are plenty of mods to fix that.

I played wizard since I entered mistland,
Cleared the queen and summoned the very last boss in ashland before realizing my 'Blood Magic" was lvl 1
essentially NEVER really leveled and the little it got was gone after 1 death .

The blood magic skills only increases when the barrier breaks , which is extremely stupid, no doubt.
So I simply had to do the commands "raiseskills bloodmagic"

It is not an issue to use the "raiseskill" command when you use something all the time and its not leveling, games is still in early so its just adjusting things that are made poorly

the biggest thing for me about taming animals, is the fact that you have to spend 30 minutes straight up sitting around doing nothing* after the process of preparing them to be tamed in the first place (in a pen, outside of vision, food prepared, etc.)

If you have Resist, fight is pretty straight forward.

When he Meteors, just walk around until Meteor ends, but stay close enough that he doesn't do his ranged lazer breath.
When Meteor ends, go whack. He'll raise his hand for Nova, just roll out the initial hit to avoid the burst damage and face-tank the lingering fire because you've got mead.

Health pots ofc, and Tasty Mead for infinite stamina. Silver Sword you already have.

Only major issues is if there's a Tar Pit nearby spawning Growths on you during the fight.

My Pc is pretty powerful since I upgraded the GPU, ram, (and PSU bc of lack of power afterwards), the only thing that is old is the CPU which, if I recall is an i7-4790. It’s enough to run star citizen comfortably

Won't really change much. The processes that Valheim runs to create or upgrade a world are pretty CPU intensive. It's gonna take a few minutes no matter what.

You can end up on infinite loading screen if you are launching the game in Vulkan and interrupting the loading process.
The advice that people usually give "Just wait" is generally a wrong one.
Certain mods can also corrupt worlds and and make them unloadable. There is also a vanilla bug which might result in inf loading times if you are close to mountains.

Test load times by generating a new world first, before you try your old world. Once loading process starts, you shouldn't touch anything on PC. If you still get app unresponsive message, restart the game, and as loading process starts quickly minimise the game and don't switch back to the game window until you hear the Valheim world sounds (you actually spanwing in the world).
You can also try public beta version of the game where world generation has been improved.

We started on a pretty small island so we havnt had much need to build infrastructure around our base
The island just has like
1 meadow
2 black forests and a small mountain biome with no dungeons or silver

old issue wondering if fix has been found yet, i'm so done trying at this point. 3080, 10900k, nvme drive, 32gb ram ... game starts and performs well with capping to my 144hz refresh then after about 10 seconds it drops to around 20 fps and stays there indefinitely.
