I'm not fearing many monsters in Mistlands, but the Queen fight is the one I dislike the most.
Basically because of all the distraction you are forced to deal with all the time.

If it comes to common monsters; the moment I hear that heavy rumbling, I'm like: "Oh crap!"

Best weapons for me to deal with an infested mine are the Ooze bombs and Bile bombs. Former are easier to get as the latter; while the latter do so much damage.

Yes it doesn't hit super fast, but it doesn't need to.
If I want fast, I use a knife. Different weapons shine in different situations, I always have a number different ones with me.

If you wanna put in the heaps of time grinding it'll take then yeah you'll do more damage with skeletons and hhave a bigger shieeld with lower mana costs

I found the queen fight to be a gazillion times easier after switching to a pure Eitr approach

In my opinion though not worth because it'll take a heap of time to get to level 100 and if you ever die you'll have lost several hours of grinding

Yes, the shield you can give yourself gets better with every skill point.
That said, it is already plenty useful at skill 1, I haven't bothered grinding it up to 100 yet, but use it a lot.

If you do that fight with more than one person, you can switch roles once in a while.
One attack her, one deal with her spawn, then attack her from the back.

Elemental magic may help too, especially when it's coming in from two sides.

For a solo attempt, elemental magic and feather cape is still a good option.
But you will most likely need another weapon to deal with all those annoying summons.

The spear is great if im swarmed but otherwise i prefer the sword

You might need an AoE weapon, so that poison axe (Jotun Bane?) may do the trick. Otherwise it'll be a big hammer or an atgeir.
Elemental magic may work best, especially ice as that'll slow her down.
But be prepared to face a long fight, with lots of evasive actions.
She's much worse as Yagluth when it comes to that and her spawns are much more annoying as those from Bonemass.

When I last fought him,, he actually punched a hole at the base of one of his pillars. It allowed me to flee in there while the meteors dropped. There was even shallow water nearby to quickly deal with fire.

Yeah Moder is the only one actually locking gear away if you don't kill her. Eik Elder Bonemass Yag and Queen can be skipped without missing out on any gear (Queen locks away a couple things, but not too important)

Im pretty sure the chair method got patched for cheesing into Swamp Crypts. So Elders drop is needed to get into the crypts. Unless you want to risk it for the biscuit and find the Sealed Towers for the Iron in the chests

I totally acknowledge that I haven't been reading chat for a while and I'm just jumping back in now, but...yeah, the game itself is failing to load (or at least taking forever). Stuck on the Valheim logo screen, and the rotating hammer has disappeared. Going on five minutes now. I'm not trying to load a specific world (which may need updating), just the game itself. First load of regular (fresh Ashlands) release, not beta. And then I get that it's "not responding" (from Windows). EDIT: Fiiiinally loaded. Whew.

Load with mods. Result: endless load. 3. Start new world with mods. Result: it loads. So apparenly save got broken when you are trying to start it with mods (((

And that time depends at how good your machine is.

Tabbing out is okay, but it will likely make windows say the game stopped responding and ask if you want to close it. Don't close it, just let it keep working

Ashlands has between 5k-8k instances per "zone" (64x64 meters) just naturally so its a lot of information to plot out

I thought zones are only generated when the player gets near (otherwise new biomes wouldn't update). I assume the reason updates slow down the world start time (and why worlds take so long to join for the first time) is because of the map texture being generated.

No they can't.

In Enshrouded the new parts aren't added yet and thus can be added without a problem.

In Valheim all biomes are already there, but depending at what the devs think of how they should look like will change or not.

So far Mistlands and Ashlands have changed a lot from when the game was released in EA up to now.
I'm expecting the same to happen to the DN as well.

Personally I tend to make like 3 rows of chests, and then make one section for resources like stone, flint, wood, and all the things you get while cutting wood (seeds, resin, feathers)

Then one section for miscelanneous things like surtling cores, boss items, gear I'm not using, etc.

Then the rest of the sections will be one for each biome. Often I just squeeze two biomes together in one section, like meadows and Black Forest bc I'm too lazy to make a big storage

The easiest storage area is keeping food items close to your cooking area, wood, skins, resin, flint, feathers and Greydwarf eyes near your main workbench, metals near your forge and smelters and eventually Mistland items near the black forge and Galrd table.

Some will be needed with other workbenches too, but in general it works for me.
As for metals, they all get one chest for each metal.
Food is split in meat and veggies.
Wood is split in one chest for each type and coal is getting one chest near the kiln / smelters

Folks can't do much about it but at least then they'll still have a backup they can load on the pre-ashlands release and might reduce some potential heartache among folks who are surprised the world has literally shifted under their feet.
