Name one portal at the destination the way you want it to be.
Like the one near the trader: "Haldor".

Then mark that portal at your main map as "Haldor".

When using the portal at your main base, name it "Haldor" if you want to visit him.
Name it "swamp" if you want to connect to a portal near / in the swamp and so on.

If you get something that gives fire resist tho, its quite good because it removes the fire weakness, and still adds fire resist on top

eh you're okay having -5%. it's not bad, and a lot of newer players just opt for armor because it gives the more clear advantage

Movement can be very good when you get used to it though, and with good movement you can avoid getting hit so armor isn't as important

Sticking with iron legs will be plenty good

most people use fenris armor because it gives extra movespeed. Also the movespeed is per-piece, while the two other effects are if you wear all of it at once

Frost arrows are the only arrows you might consider against Bonemass. He strongly resists all piercing damage. Just use a poison resist potion, hit him with an iron mace, dodge his attacks, and hop up on top of his altar if you need a quick breather. Flatten the area around him with a hoe so there's no deep water you need to contend with and it shouldn't be too hard at all as long as you have good swamp level food and upgraded armor.

I couldn't believe it, after all that my boars breeded and I had like 5 or so boars finally - and I got a bat attack, which is very rare

it is mad easy to hunt for meat, but for a passive and lazy way to get free meat then breeding

Breeding is reliable and you have some base defenders that will also destroy your base. I prefer hunting 😛 Blackmetal atgeir and they're super easy.

I feel like breeding is clumsy because you need so much space for them. I have a stable with 4 of them, but then they won't breed (needs to be less than 4 i think, and need to have no roof above them)

I simply don't put them in a pen.
Set up your base near coast line and an area with cloud berries.
Lure and tame two Lox there and once they're tame, simply walk past the cloud berries with auto-pick up off while "harvesting" them.

The Lox will eat the berries, get youngsters and those will eat the berries as well.
Without any limitations, there's enough room to breed a large army of Lox.

Deathsquitos may be annoying once in a while, but those will often focus at you the moment you show up. And you're suited a lot better to kill those winged parasites as Lox are.

Deathsquitos are glass cannons. As long as you hit them first, you win. They fly straight at you when attacking, so they're super easy to hit with an arrow if you stay calm.

I remember when the plains boss was the last boss, and it was quite tanky... I assume they crank up the queen tankiness too for this. But yeah, my first time kill the queen was few months ago (multiplayer of 4) it was an hour fight with mostly running and redundancy. It's probably just my skill issue dealing multiple seekers at a time but yeah... I just hope Ashland boss wasn't couple with other FAST mobs which gave you small time window to catch a breathe.

Like if you just run in there with a melee weapon, your rolls and sound cues gotta be on point. But if you just light the arena up with wisp torches and use magic to down her there's not so much skill required

I got two concepts that work pretty well right now.

One is having my crafting stations in a basement of the main building.
Put the hearth above it and you got the perfect spot to get rid of the smoke without being in the smoke.

The other one is a smaller main building, but with the crafting stations next to the defensive walls.

The former makes it a bit harder to get all resources inside, the latter forces me to always walk through the rain.

Put itemstands to the walls and use that to hang up that old equipment.

Armor stands can get shields and a single weapon on it as well, so you can actually set up an armor stand with all your armor and weapon in case you will need a spare.

From my experience of Bonemass, the fight is balanced around Poison Resistance meads
