I'ma reload the save lol
That deer always looked so innocent to me. Compared to other bosses. I'm sure he's a nice guy though forsaken
why?
Do a deer a female deer?
What
Ray? A drop of golden sun?
Me! The name I call myself.
far, a long, long way to run
Tea... A Drink with Jam and Bread.
Gods. I'm trying to get to the nearest Smouldering Tomb but I've run into this massive continent blocking my way, I thought I'd sail around it but ended up in Mistlands... I'm in silver gear, so not quite ready for that yet, thankyouverymuch! So backtracking across half the damn map to try the other way around...
you missed 2 lines π
... But I Like Tea
D'oh!
... Must relocate 32 D'ohs.mp3
A word, A homer word.
lol
Shite π€£
guys
my acc got hacked and the guy that solted it enabled 2fa
and discord suport shit, they got only bots
what i do?
Contact support
only bots reply
Send ticket
same thing
go to your email(s). click "force logout"
i dont lost the email of the account
just the discord account, but i can get the password back because the mf enabled 2fa
can't*
i sent a lot of screnshots to discord email support, everything about it and just a bot replys
ah. yeah.. they are slow
hows it goin smiffe
saying to recovery the password using the link but it don't work because the guy enable 2fa so even with the old password and the email i can't do nothing
... They might be a bit Busy, you know... Patience,
yeah.. the 1000's account stolen the last 2-3 days are massive workload on them
i don't understand the enjoyment people get out of doing that kind of stuff to others
fun for 5 minutes. 200 year of "will someone find out I did it. will cops come knock on my door"
I wasn't prepared for how comically easy Eikthyr is
all bosses are much easier if you prepare, which you did
as long as you have a shield and use it. your solid
Schadenfruede... Some get a bigger kick out of it than most.
Donβt get too cocky, the rest arenβt so easy! But well done regardless.
I've punched Eikthyr to death π
my first ever time in the game I tried to fight eikthyr with only a stone axe and 10 raspberries
no other food, no armor, no shield, no bow. got rolled lol
smiffe is mike tyson confirmed
Yeah lol, I started using him to chop down trees
Is Eikthyr worth farming?
his trophy looks nice for decoration
he's good for leveling bow skill. crude bow, wood arrows, use him as a sponge
Are there any uses for Eikthyr antlers besides the pickaxe
no
Sux
you can make a few antler pickaxes in place of a bronze pickaxe early on and just repair them at a regular workbench, only reason to have multiple imo
I didn't feel like chasing him up and down the glen... So, I built Fort Bite Me right outside the stone ring around his altar.
really just moder and yagluth have drops that are useful to have lots of
Decoration.
Hahaha was about to run aground at full sail but a wave lifted me over the damn rock
Gotta take those narrows and Black Forest Coastlines a little slower than you'd like too in rough seas.
Is it just me or does the game lag really bad when it storms
i've never had that issue
Yeah, I was risking it to try and make up lost time.. π . Seems the massive continent blocking me is actually the same one with the tomb on it, just impossibly large. Biggest I've ever come across...
Unusual for a landmass that size to be out that far... at least in my own experiences.
Not going to have enough food for the trip home, need to resort to cooked deer and berries π
i had random lags in swamp
i really wish there was a way to tell how far away you are from spawn. it gets annoying
not knowing something so basic
You can look at the map?
i can look at the map i guess
but thats just guessing, and from what people have told me here im not that far away, yet it is quite far
youi couild just set up camp there and call it a temporary home
Tasty mead vs lingering stamina mead?
tasty -100% hp regen but quicker
If you can manage the 10secs of no stamina usage to recover, it's fantastic
do burial sites ever respawn their loot? just wondering if surtling cores are a limited resource or not
(I guess i can always make a 2nd world and just raid the crypts there, like you can do in terarria)
u can get cores from swamp or raids also
dope! i just beat elder last night and got my key
Surt Cores are only in the Crypts... Burial Sites, and Cairns are something else entirely (those odd little standing stone clusters with a capstone & stacked flat stones in the mountains)
can get few cores in mistland also
when you get into swamps you can find fire-spouts that spawn surtlings. they drop cores
and more important, coal
Burial Chambers are the black forest dungeons, Sunken Crypts are the swamp's
Map lists them as Crypts.
yeah thats my fault i am new, i mixxed up the name of the two
You find surtling cores in the burial chambers~
i just call them dungeons when im marking them on my map xd
... Looks like there needs to be another Icon on the map to distinguish them...
Biome specific dungeon
I usually just jot down the hammer looking icon with initials
who needs map icons i just use the little circle for everything
Hammer for this i want or need to do, fire for farming spots, portal for dungeons(Xout when cleared), house for bases and outposts, dots for mineral deposits
thats a good system
I use them randomly
I do hammer for dungeons (x'd when cleared too), house for bases or location of current boat, portal for portals and fire for small rest spots
And dots for any harvestable resource, mines or berries or such
once lost one of my boats, found it 100h later. Forgot its location after a break
I use house for bases, hammer for mineral deposits, portal for dungeons, campfire for small outposts, dots for berries/shroms/random stuff.
To quote a friend when she saw my map: "Why isn't everything campfires?!? Maniac!"
was packed to the brim with fine wood too
I like this
I use house for bases and campfires for outposts as well
Dungeons or special things are that runestone/portal thing
Hammer is for ocean stuff like harbours or leviathans/serpent spawns
It's has a hole in it so I use it for things I go into. :>
Berries are always dots
am I the only one that uses the portal icon for portals
ive taken to using houses for fuling and draugr villages and dverger outposts
Maaaaybe π
Remember that mouse centers on your character too when you open map, so you can open map, select pin type, then quickly close and reopen if you need a pin exactly where youre staanding
Thats covered by outposts
If I have a permanent portal it gets a small house with a workbench and a chest.
They'll get the portal icon and noted with the portal code
Temporary portals dont need a pin for me
They get a dot if I may set up another portal on the same island.
Eh, I never actually sailed to go for the second boss, actually. Thinking on it, really didn't run the entire progression. I kept getting stuck on how to set up infrastructure especially if I have a main base somewhere.
I spent more time on mulling supply chains
Boat also get a dot, that one's rather important to mark.

Very rare that an island doesnt get a perma outpost for me
I wish there was a boat icon
yeah. save lots of random wandering'
Boats almost always gets packed away in a chest if i am not leaving immediately
I make them a safe harbor, a requirement to build a fort.
But you could still mark the location of your boat chest.
only worth building if it can hold a boat sagfely
I really dislike packing up the boat like that~
Outpost lol
Unless it's an emergency I'll leave it built
I just leave the boat at the shore, it's extremely rare that anything attacks it, at least without me hearing it.
I've never seen the point in destroying it, I just park it in the shallows with a campfire next to it just in case.
Found my second Fenring and got a trophy. Already got several Tetra fish so don't need this trophy for bait. I am wanting to catch all the fish
I dont play with sound
Sound is important in Valheim. :p
I rarely die cause of ambush though, so eh
I might get back into valheim though. I havent actively played since june
Just curious Scarlet, why do you dislike dismantling boats?
Probably feels bad for the boat
Not so much ambushes as "something's happening over there" or " there's a troll nearby that I should kill before it finds my wolves" and "that sounds like something hitting my wall."
Going merry
Generally like watching something or listening to music on the side
I don't think I played at all from February or so to November or thereabouts. Still haven't more than just had a peek at Mistlands.
WHEN IS THE NEW UPDATE COMING I AM DYING FOR BOREDOM HERE π
Soon, before the summer
I also like having music on the side, still have game sound on. :>
Was playing on a norwegian server, then went on vacation and host took it down without warning and ignored my plea to share files, so lost motivation again
Read #general channel description
Oof
You got the Norwegian blues?
I had like 150 hours on that server
That does suck, it wouldn't have hurt them to give you the world save.
I even anticipated and tagged the guy two weeks before he took it down, he even left the discord
When i thought to dm him he didnt have the files anymore
bummer
Happy Valheim birthday y'all
Fireworks?
Oh yeah it is isnt it
That it is
thank you
Open up the Mead Hall!
Three years now
I turned it into a farm
I started playing on feb 6th i think
I think I started about a month after release
I started about a week after, I think.
People tested it and said it was fun. They were correct.
This game appeared in the right time I think - when almost everyone was in lock-down. And suddenly one can explore vast words without leaving one's room...
Unfortunately my original base isn't still around, I ended up moving across the bay.
Quite the endeavor at the time for me
Bought it and played it a bit soon after release but waited for more updates. Hearth update brought me in
I wish I could start over and be new again.
And play together
Welp guess its time to get dementia
For me it was no man's sky in thwt time
I've never been as social as during covid. :p
It's much easier to be social when you can do it remotely from home.
Aww did out of server emojis get yoinked?
How new? Like baby new or?
Pegster is born again
Life didn't change for me. Little social life, working in gtocery store(never closed) and still never got covid
Working at a grocery store at the start of covid was great.
More sales and less people.
Much easier to work.
I loved those distance rules and the arrows on the floor
It worked so good why did we remove them?!
I miss people not stepping into my face, but yeah this is valheim chat lol
Oopsiedaisy
How's that city coming along?
Mine?
Mine?
Mine?
Probably been a couple years since last I've seen it
Oh god the grocery store life....I do not miss it. I worked at a fareway for years, started merchandising for coke, and recently moved to an IT position for coke. I'm never going back
Larsi
Fuuuuuuck that
Wow that escalated quickly
I ain't seen any of y'alls cities yet lol
I love working at a grocery store but I mostly work with the fun bits.
Heh, I was filming a scene for a short film the other day and I was playing a shopkeeper and I was standing behind the counter and it suddenly occured to me that that was the first time I'd done it. I've never done the retail life.
Oh wait coca cola
It has three castles in addition to the castle bridge
poofs afk.
yeah, cocacola. I don't think there are cocaine merchandisers (that are legal anyways)
You should try it
Retail sucks
It really does
I hang out in here at work because I can't actually PLAY valheim π
I'm living vicariously through the Discord and subreddit
Retail is fun! People tho...
When I merchandised I'd be in the store at the crack of dawn to avoid the people.
@civic stirrup i dont know when you visited, but its been over a year since i actiely worked on it, but im planning on getting back into it
Most customers are fine but it's the handful that aren't that ruins everything
Here i was feeling guilty for not working on my valheim town for a week π
Its been probably about 1 1/2 - 2 years
I kind of abandoned mine after I realized I wouldn't be able to use it as my base
this right here is why I don't build any really creative stuff, I'm function over form lol
Youve probably not seen the newest and biggest castle then. Theres also probably 20-30 houses spread out
Built a new base instead as I had been using my old one for like 2 years
Form Follows Function!!!
Aye some people seem to look at your average retail employee as some kind of authority figure, and just let loose all their anger and hate at them. I've had to pull customers away from young lads/lasses they were about to physically assault, over some fucking cupon they messed up themselves
From what I remember there was one castle and maybe a house or two then a path round a hill
Fun fact: the elderly are huge thieves xD
It really do be like that. I always say that the people who act like that have never worked a day of retail in their life
Well, you can come visit again if you want lol
Looks like roles have not been implemented yet.
Oopsie, well I made it to the Smoldering Tomb eventually!
Im making a Town called "Rusrust" ("rest from rowing"), its a non-religious merchant town vaguely inspired by flemish/dutch/danish Merchant towns.
Very cool
I'd love to though I don't have internet for my PC atm
The hardest part will be cutting not adding
Mine is called Borgsund, which translates to Catle Strait because i have a giant castle bridge that connects two islands
Ah, poor connection makes my poor trolls escape their cages
π€£
Yeah im going to add some type if bridge(s) too, but first im going to finish the groundwork for the roofed marketplace, then Im going to make some sort of "lift" (visual only) like on GOT castle black... Its all in my head :p
Ive got a perfect area for it and im not doing terraforming
So maybe ill finish it before 1.0 π
huh. six angerfish decided to throw themselves into my boat. fish-n-bread just in time to set up the Queen.. as soon as I find more dark cores.
Hello all!
Seems like the angerfish got angry at living in the ocean
I always thought the puffers were the anger fish...
The 5* puffer that jumped into my face was definitely an anger fish π€£
Me and my brother accidently stumbled across a smoldering tomb,we haven't turned in the chest yet...
You should do so π€©
We both died like 3 times each, maybe when we get iron armor and tools we'll turn it in,I mean,it will change up the events pool chances
True, but it's only 1 skeleton
Use blunt weapons - parry/dodge
The rewards are 100% worth it
35% reduction on ALL stamina use is pretty neat β€οΈβπ₯
Brenna, skeletons and rancid remains. We have stag breakers, but were probably still going to wait to get iron, maximize or effectiveness hopefully without dying
Not a single rancid skelly inside this one, lots of starred regular skellies tho. Brenna was a lovely little boss! π₯°
When frostner keychain in store that DOES frost damage?' I wana use it to cool drinks
I wonder if one could 3d print a food safe icecube mold in the shape of a frostner
If only i had some cryo equipment
Or one of those plastic icecubes filled with water that you can refreeze over and over
silicone maybe
i got one double mold, makes perfect diamond like ice cubes
dipping a magic hammer in the wiskey sounds even better
I may have to do some juggling to get a new base set up near Bonemass and farm some more iron over there
and I may have to do ao couple of extra boat runs to move some more stuff
i like a good, lit road system in the swamps. With pit stops.
which role are you looking for?
I failed my hype saving throw and got the newest survival craze, but because the controls of that game are so confusing, I am going to get a refund for that so I can concentrate on valheim
and you probably know what game I am refering to, as it's basiclly EVERYWHERE
Clearly Palworld.
every succesful game style will eventually get more arcade style variants for ease, aimed at other players
I'll buy it again eventaully once Ig et tired of Valheim
which can randomly be tomorrow or 6 months from now
i upgraded cauldron to lvl 3 still not sure what im missing out on here.
the best thing seems black soup but thats lvl 2
so far silver armor seems weaker than maxed out iron armor so im just sticking with it for now
Maxed out iron should be the same armor as T1 silver, iirc
If you have enough materials to craft and then upgrade a silver set, that should be higher armor
maxed out armors seem to cost a lot, i know it took like 120 fo riron lvl 4 (not even maxed out fully some were lvl 3)
not bad, just annoying to find a big mountains biome. most ones i found seem to be small
the idea behind the armor levling is that you shouldn't need more than level 1 to beat a biome if your a very good and experienced player
level 2 is cheaper than level 1 because it's suppose to be for the avreage player
i dont think maxed out iron is same as t1 silver, let me check
whild level 3-4 are for those who need the last bump of numbers to beat the biome boss
durability is quite weaker
Having higher levels of armor significantly increases your chances to survive though
yeah i guess i should build some silver armor then. never had my armor break yet
That's mainly true for light armor. For heavy armor what Smiffe said
i'd wanted to build smelters etc near this one mountain i found yesterday. but it doesnt seem to contain that much iron and so ive mined out like 100 and carried em to the base. i am a bit disappointed that Silver does not seem to have much use other than for armor
Silver weapons are very expensive
you should perhaps find the trader and talk to him π
i guess one thing i should get right away is a silver shield
i still dread going to mountains after getting "You are being Hunted", it is quite annoying
how do i start making my base out of stone?
wait what
can u sell silver or something
ive been meaning to go to the traders but one is on this small patch next to plains and the other quite quite far away
gotta create a stonecutter
No
only rubies, amber, pearl things and silver necklaces
The one to read the public test channel.
added
sad
Thanks.
oh now i see what smiffe was referring to
Yay balistae in my base finally. Gonna tune them to trolls lol.
soon one of these days I'll venture into mistlands and town of Fudel will be complete
ngl im looking for a game to play on
Ah @gray nexus , I have a screenshot of your comfort suggestion, Iβd really like to give it to you so you can post it again when suggestions are back up π
aye!
Life in valheim is all about stone these days for me. Stone. Stone. Stone.
Sent! Thank you sir!
Where are you farming stone from?
im just afking my greydwarf farm, but i run through it so quickly
hey guys
Just spent like 8k this morning
is the ashelands is out yet ?
no
kk ty
first half of 2024
I have my mountain quarry. Half way empted maybe lol
My pickaxe level is 89.5, I have mined enough things for life
π’
I have used the pickaxe more than my main melee weapon
Oh i never get that high. I die too much. Mistlands is good for builders though, no mire falling deaths
Oh I die a lot too. From gravity half the time. It has slowly down recently but yeah.
I wanna complete this current base before Yagluth for now
Don't want to deal with seeker raids yet and fulings raids are great for black metal farming
Which I still wanna farm a lot of
Good to see the server is coming back up
Clever! Then again, one small part of why I keep my main base in Meadows is that seekers don't raid that far...
yep they don't, we have our meadows base. I am currently in process of building the plains base, once it's complete (well as complete as it can be without mistlands stuff) we'll kill yagluth and proceed
How much health should I have for the plains and what armor should I wear?
Booom I got the first suggestion!
depends on ur playstyle. I prefer using padded armor helmet + one piece from padded armor + one from fenris
Not that it is original or anything, but alas...
Yeah, I'm not in plains yet on this character, but the plan is to just make a farming outpost in the plains and keep it raid free, that way we won't have to deal with anything other than roaming fulings, and a moat takes care of them..
honestly im building it in plains because I want it attacked
just not yet
basically I have this wall around
found onions
overall 80 ballistas are gonna go on it, pew pew all night
still no lobbies?
and since it's plains, the ballistas will earn back part of the bolts themselves by killing fulings
Happens
Some mountains are just unlucky
i hear there are also great caves or something
others are too lucky, the first big one I found had 20 veins
frost caves yes
wtf just happened. i just jumped o na big rock and hit a wolf and it bounced me off the rock
Mustve played scissors. Classic mistake.
found a cave
Cmon dude
do i go inside the cave
Its only been a couple minutes
just want this DAMN server to be up
if you're confident sure, just be careful of cultists and stuff. I used atgeir when I first went it, it worked rather well
ok
i brought materials for portals. didnt make a portal in the base though... how thoughtful of me
I'm scared of everything creepy-crawly out of the mistlands, I really don't want them raining death over my home π
Oh, uh, just FYI, the FAQ says unknown channel in the response portion of βdo you read suggestions?β
Always have an unbound portal in reserve, always!
I call mine "Emergency" so it would just feel awkward to keep using it
I just name them E1, E2, E3 for quick typing
yeah well dont have that so stuck here til i exploit. then goi back to the ship and go back to the base
not the best idea but it is what it is
Yup, those are the best adventures though, when you have no easy escape so you have to roll with it
As inconvenient as it is, my next world will be without portals. I might abandon it, but dangit I'll try
well i am near a black forest fortunately so if this mountains is big en ough ill just handle all the smelting forging etc here
Good evening everyone,
i just reached the bronze age, was about tos swap my blue troll set for bronze armor set, but this -5% movement speed each piece hurts in my opinion. Is it worth?
No
Imo, itβs not worth it, unless youβre looking to look absolutely fashionable.
Barely an armor difference
Youll take less damage from being able to move away too
Plus bronze is better spent on tools and weapons
bronze armor never worth it, latter heavy vs light armors make sense but bronze vs troll is just eh
Another question, bronze pickaxe, sword and shield has also -5% movement speed, does that only count if i engage those in hands or all the time in inventory?
Only when equipped
Your current total movement speed decrease is shown next to the reduction on the item
but if you want you can mix bronze and troll by replacing the hood with bronze helmet. The helmet has no movement penalty
allrighty
Oh by the way, is there anything that works for your typical greydwarf spawner stone farm these days? I believe the original fireplace/hearth variants were patched out?
Not that I really need one, I just want to build one to have one...
Only when equipped, additionally you can also press R to put your current equipped shield and weapon on your back. The movement penalty is not there for them while on your back and pressing R again quickly equips both again
You can use hanging brazier or standing brazier if you want to use a fire variant
Yeah, preferably something that doesn't involve needing to tame wolves and bring there. If I tame a wolf I won't have the poor mutt chewing greydorfs all day long
neither of them take damage when dealing damage to mobs and mobs don't attack them either
is that bronze helmet worth the loss of troll set bonus sneaking?
Great, I'll try that, thanks! Not the end of the world if it is nerfed, I don't mind go farming when I need stuff.
do you use sneaking? if yes, then it's not worth. If you don't, why not,
Not really if you use sneaking a lot
well, just if i want to meele those Deers xD
can i find silver in frost caves?
Well, you can throw spears at deer so you don't have to sneak up on them π
Yeah i know, its just for the fun π
Ive been using bow alot on them
aight they do count as base structures btw so if you want a raid proof one only build two of them and destroy workbenches etc and box them before afking
though only seeker raids pose any issue if you raise earth wall around
idk if bats attack the nests, but just in case I have the nest protected in a way
time to go into the caves then
xd
If that's the only time you sneak, then the bronze helm will benefit you a little more in combat
So i guess all the metalic armors got the -% movement speed?
Yeah. Some people can't stand that, I like the tanky play style so I'm 100% the heavy armor guy
I mix heavy and fenris to get best of both worlds
Plus the metal armors look so damn good
hope there will be alot more better leather gear too π
good armor + only -2% movement penalty instead of 10%
I did quickly drop the tower shields tho, the movement penalty from those is too harsh by far imo
broo i can't wait for this update to start playing this game again
Yeah i thought so, picked that round shield
Same, though I still need to catch up on all the new content π
So I suppose I can wait then lol
I have so much to do that I couldn't care less about the Ashlands, that's too far off haha
(I do have a couple of characters who are "done" with Mistlands, but I love exploring new worlds too much to let that stop me)
Thatβs where Iβm trying to get, just one world where Iβm βcaught upβ essentially.
i'm thinking turning my sealed tower into a portal hub, let's see how that goes
Howβs your build going, the one you were working on before?
Yeah they're not instanced, so you can build there, right?
you can't build inside
Oh bugger
but you can build around them, they count as ground as in everything is blue iirc
a bit of iron and you can build a circle structure easily around them
and sealed tower happens to be quite tall, the whole reason why I chose this location was coz I wanted it inside base
I did get a map for the insides plotted tho, which is nice
Oh nice, huge progress then.
looks like im out of luck lol. tough luck crafting a forge in the middle of nowhere.
The plan is the most important part!
so i'll be making the roads today so my gf can start work on the house
I think I should add a few small houses just to make it feel like a town
would be weird to call it a town with just 1 house
Wolves, but bigger and nastier, and slightly...er...humanish
Wolfier wolves
Ulv is an old nordic form of the word for wolf
Its also just the norwegian word for ulv
Which made translation a bit weird since wolf is ulv
So ulv is varg
Yeah exactly, so in some swedish rpgs "ulv" has been used for "bigger badder wolf" basically
Not saying that's why these buggers are "ulv" in Valheim - but since they are indeed bigger and badder, it makes sense
well i am about dead die from these fools
fighting 7 of them especially when you thought 3 were all is quite annoying. very stupid mobs though
My tip with these guys is to shoot them with your bow before you aggro them, if that's not possible - they are squishy but hit hard, so offence is good
they are pretty easy to kill, its just annoying when you dont know how many of them there are
yeah
i died though so they succeeded
The Ulvs claim another π
ive just thought of a fantastic way to build a portal back in the base. destroy my beds on this remote island and then rename the portal in the main base. save myself the trouble of going back with the ship
Yeah it is easy to take them too easily because they're so squishy, but they hit hard so getting a whole pack on you is bad news
yeah they are basically wolves
not sure how this recovery will go but lets see
butt naked now
Just the skill drop from dying, but if you don't mind that - yay!
well i save myself the trouble of going back with the boat over a pickaxe i cant fix
easy recovery
killed two cultists. very annoying
bonemass ability so far seems to be the most useful
yeah it is
i assume where their spawners is also where some goodies are?
people say iron and stuff is here. ive not found any yet
Iron sledge is really strong in caves, plus it easily destroys a lot of stuff you can loot
mace seems to be enough. as long as you block, even 3 of them just get stunned
atgeir is pretty great against ulv, it staggers them with it's secondary and then you can kill them easily
where is all the loot that people speak about though?
The only reason I didn't die in my first frost cave is atgeir, I was wearing a piece of root armor too π
almost died to cultist before I had my "OHH" moment
in frost caves, there pedestals with claws and hair
You can destroy those red curtain things, they drop red jute sometimes
what i read is that there are ores too
Around the big altars and some other places, there are hair hanging from wall, some are pickable, others are destroyable, both give fenris hair
Almost anything in caves can be destroyed
The blue glowly crystals are all that come to my mind when u say ore
sometimes the doors drop iron ingots when you destroy them
bronze, iron etc
you can get some bronze if you destroy braziers for example, i believe there was some way to get iron too but i could be wrong
Doors can drop iron, braziers bronze
this, and braziers drop bronze sometimes
Wall hangins drop jute or fenris hair
Also a tip for the blue crystals, don't pick them. Destroy them with weapon for more drops.
killed the cultists, and died from fire, getting out of here after this recovery. doesnt seem like im missing out on much
got a lot of those hairs and fenris drops
Only the best armor set in the game
also a small tip: if you're not rested anymore in the frostcave, stand near a brazier it'll get you some minutes
They don't smoke down the place down there, but put them indoors at home... Unfair!
ive not seen any chests in frost caves. are there any?
yes
Theyre a bit rare but yes
Anyone wanna play with me its my first time
#1024264966712340510 would be where to ask. I'd recommend trying it solo first though
Yeah, learn it solo - experience it best with friends
none of my friends play this and i hate playing by myself lol
I'd say still try and learn it solo - then once you feel confident with the basics hit the #1024264966712340510 channel and find some friendly bunch to ride with!
Alright im in a solo rn
The whole first biome progress - including the boss fight - can be viewed as a very well paced tutorial imo
i hate being by myself xD
these drakes are the bane of my existence. cant mine without one fool coming to annoy me
how long does the fermenter take to make stuff
https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Fermenter Wiki says two in-game days.
Knowing from experience, learning the basics is even harder with another noob by your side - you feed each other misinformation whilst causing the other's death and being in the way...
the chaos is part of the fun
Hey guys, any tip on rancid remains trophy drop? I have done more than 50 chamber runs, more than half in last 3 days and still zero drop. It's getting really annoying. It's the last trophy what im missing:/ Wanted to get it in normal way without event spam too. Th
Best way is event spam. Theyve very rare in dungeons
anyone got room in their server for another person i really like the game but its not as fun without other players around to play the game with
Wanted to avoid that, but true. I have seen them maybe 7-8 times and still no drop
Best way is to go in a zone you dont have many raid options
I know your pain though
It took me about 200 golems to get my second trophy
Even did few bonemaster kills and was waiting for event trigger, but for some reason it got triggered on rare case
ahh finally a suggestions channel to permanently mute
Damn, luckily I got first quite fast and it was enough for me. Thx for input anyways
Took me almost 2 years to get my first serpent trophy.
Agreed!
so next on the list is a stone golem trophy? π
Still don't have one, I have nearly limitless supplies of serpent stew, but I have never managed to pull one of those things into shallow enough waters
Already have 12+ whatever I've gotten in the last game or two.
i have a GREAT screenshot of what my group did with our first 2 stone golem trophies all the way back in 2019 lol
I have found a couple of golem trophies too, they went in the obliterator
but i don't think it's appropriate for this discord π€£
Haha, I just stuff everything into my "Wall of Shame". Which is just a gigantic wall of chests, and I feel shameful everytime I look at it, as I realise how much time I've spent on this game >_<
How many cultists would it take on average to get a trophy?
We've gone through about 14 caves and not a single one
We killed at least 2 cultists in each cave and one had 6
Man, you were playing in alpha version?
Trophy is a 10% drop chance. But as normal, Random is random, and average is no guarantee.
I have cleared about 10 caves on this world and gotten 4 of them, so I'd wager the drop rate should be about 10-20%
oop you're right i just found it and it was 2020
I know, but..........
DAMN π€£
got it confused with another game i was playing in 2019
Early access came out on this day in 2021
im trying to find the subreddit post
Youve been on this discord since 17th February 2021 lol
3 years
THREE
This current world I am playing in seems to be rich in the rare things - tetra ponds, silver, rare trophies. I get attacked by serpents every single damn time I sail too far from shore at night. I mean literally, I can't cross a channel with like a 10 meter wide bit of ocean without a serpent coming for me
i think im losing my mind
I have stew enough for a year ahead
If you're struggling I'd google seeds with large mountain biomes near spawn, then jump into the world with longship materials/portal materials/ build a small portal house at spawn then just clear the mountain biomes
oh god remember when you could raise ground for only 1 stone by clicking on the edge of the ground you were raising instead of down at the bototm
those were the days
Valheim early access turned 3 years today lol
yeah i did not play alpha or beta i played when it dropped on steam
Hahahah I watched a video about that and like, ffs you LIAR!!!
holy crap I just caught a 2 star wolf in a pit in the mountians. Advice to tame it?
all of the videos about how to modify the terrain are 2 years old and have that now-incorrect information in them π¬
throw it some meat quickly before the daytime so it doesn't despawn
Yep, if a video gives any kind of advice I check its date immediately!
worse, remember when there was no way to delete items
i think my only gripe in my steam review of the game was about that lol
And keep it angry, I think it needs to be aggroed at dawnbreak or it will despawn, even if it has started taming. Or am I wrong?
there's always been a way to delete items, though
i think once taming starts its despawn flags are removed
you could just drop them in a trash hole away from workbenches, eventually those items will all get unloaded.
Awesome, thanks
Will make lox taming a bit less nasty
our trash hole was throwing items off the side of the boat mid-ocean whenever we went sailling
Plus there are trash mods that are nice
what?...
Yeah itβs sick
Throw meat into it. Tame another wolf at the same time and breed until you have at least 4, cover with multi lsyer roof so drakes cant one shot them
that seems like a busted trash hole.
pollutionheim
hold on
It's taming. I had to portal to get some meat for it
i need clarification. You say that.. your trash hole.. was throwing items... off the side of the boat, mid-ocean
Where is your trash hole located? Inside of your boat?
the trash hole was the entire ocean
I did actually mine a channel from a huge tar pit all the way down to the ocean, then I saw what happened and felt a little bad
Did my mans discover the valheim worm hole of trash?
...i see
whenever we went sailing somewhere, when we first set off we'd fill our inventories with crap, throw it off on the way there, and then ofc on the way back we'd all be full up on metal and loot and such
Nice going, BP.
but, again, items in the ocean would just despawn eventually π
that's like the perfect strategy, no hole needed.
probably, but idk if sailing over the same route multiple times would keep them from doing so. Idk how far down the bottom of the ocean is in valheim lol
no, it doesn't
the only thing that stops despawns are player buildings, like workbenches, torches, campfires, etc
the player's presence themselves doesn't do it
as far as i understand, at least
what is the best arrow/bow combination for one shotting these god forsaken drakes?
well if you are in mountains i think you should make draugrs fang and obsidian arrows π
I use draugr fang and wood arrows. Sneak attacks usually oneshots
Two shots if alerted
jeez louis, 707 silver to max out the armor?
should be 166
To max everything created by silver
just need a sword kinda
ah ok
thought it was armor so didntm ake sense, i know it was around 140 for iron
and do people just farm wolves for meat in mountains?
Can't speak for others, I just kill the ones who try to kill me, and that keeps my coffers full of meat..
i do
i generally get enough passively by just being in the mountains, if not i cull some of the tamed
I never even felt the need to tame any
they are good defense at home
And, I'd feel weird about keeping wolves for food anyway
so i gotta get 400 silver for maxed out armor for me and my friend i guess
i wouldnt. best meat
im thinking my best recourse if i get hunted again is to trap the pack in a hole
No qualms about cooking wolves I kill in the field, but I have this irrational distate for trying to "farm" them
i dont even have a boar farm. wanted to do that but never did
I tried to lure wolves into one of the pits left my silver mining, but all that got me was one very angry golem and some confused wolves
When you guys capture wolves, do you do that in the mountains or kite them down to the forest?
i think people probably keep them in the forest, because i dont know how you would survive stone golem drake attacks etc
either whichever is easier to build. BF will have less issues with new spawns
I dont move them until i have at least 4
what is the best weapon against these stone pricks?
Ok 2 star wolf made it through the night and the next day. Totally covert the pit with a roof. Threw in like 10 boar meat. I am in a cabin next door. Will wolves attack the cabin. They seem to when I was capturing the 2 star
dig a pit and trap them
Iron mace
i just wanna kill this tar pit and GET THIS TAR, GIVE IT TO ME BLOBS!
Iron mace.
Or use an iron pickaxe on top of them (but only works on the spiked golems)
yeah i use iron mace pickaxe seems to risky
But satisfying
If you perfectly parry them you can stunock them to death
Pickaxe could never be a recommended weapon. That's for someone who's learned their patterns and can survive botching it up now and then...
A sneak special attack with iron mace does half its health, but then you have spot it and sneak up on it
Golems are fun. Dodge roll with the iron mace directly at them when they attack, then do the secondary/uppercut attack, and it will stun them and they crumble quickly
That's bc you've never killed one without it being able to hit you at all
so when the wishbone picks i usually dig if its pinging fast, i am not sure what the ping means if its weak, do i dig down or keep moving forward?
Which brings me back to my statement - it is recommended only for the ones with the necessary skills to pull it off - for anyone else it means death.
go search around for place where it pings faster π
Fear of success
Are there any further developments?
If its a grave, itll keep pinging even if you find the buried skeleton, but wont happen again if you come back
Weak means you're nearby and walking in the general direction of the vein. Just slowly turn and search until it's fast.
to what?
to the game
On infrastructure
well ashlands should be up in the first half of this year π
Ack, patchnotes is empty of course. This is going to get frustrating.
Soonβ’οΈ
thank you
better than what we had before they announced this π
Dude I would tell them to delay if it meant more polish.
i can fully understand that
I'm in no hurry. Just discovered hens and balistae. Was so engrossed in magic I missed it all. The base is getting tetris'd with more stuff.
That means there aren't new updates so it still works to answer those kind of questions
I stand with you on that.
Well, no, there COULD have been updates since people last visited so there would have been something useful there.
Always. Good shit is better than unfinished crap, without doubt.
Valheim and it's community are second to none. I'll be here either way
what is the chance of me killing this shitty mob named drake by jumpin gwith a mace?
Gotta record that
Time it right and you have a story to tell!
slim... tho i would LOVE to see it π
and why do they keep spawning? is the egg the spawner or what?
Seems so
Nests are one time spawns.
The eggs are of course to get the attention of their Moder
Idk that don't seem accurate Derek. The nest may be but, I've seen them be in proximity after multiple clears. Built a recent rock camp near one.
Yes, I'm positive. Nests aren't the only way of drakes spawning.
transporting ore in mountains seems the most annoying thing
You guys are aware the game has physical spawners, one time spawners (like the nests and boarstones etc) and zone spawners (these ones never stop)
i try to build a base at the bottom of the Mountains and just throw the ore from a good point above it π
the nests are just like troll caves one time spawners, but they have higher spawn chance than trolls outside the troll caves
So the repeated drake spawns at a nest are...potentially coincidental to a zone spawn? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding
Correct, those will be zone spawns.
i mean i keepgetting attacked by drakes, and then i gotta carry silver ore back and forth to the chest
is there like a valheim plus menu? very new to modding and I want to see the features / how I can work with the mod
I put a workbench next to 2 Drakes nest and it seemed to really cut down on them spawning. Maybe my imagination
i think this should go to #mods-discussion or #mods-issues π
Are you mining higher on the mountain and lugging ore to boat
i see i see... yip, thats annoying
I like to employ portals and carts or bring forge and smelters around to each node?
Cart yeet off the side ftw
The 2 star wolf is tamed. I have a bunch of regular wolves not far away. Gonna bring a few so I can start breading and get more 2 stars. This is the most excited I have been in weeks lol.
Have chests and store silver there
Congrats. Nice work.
If I'm not mistaken only two 2* will guarantee 2* cubs? Someone correct me if I'm wrong
Yeah, but sooner or later you'll get a 2* cub and you can off all the others. It's a nasty game...
Indeed
Thanks. I was really just getting ready to look for one and this one showed up before I was really ready. Some how I managed to trap it though
Stone or raised earth pens?
I never bothered to tame wolves because I don't really have a use for it. I have my base in meadows so I don't need them for defence, wolves hunt me regularly so I don't need to breed them for food...
I dug a deep pit. Then added spike wall for extra safety
The wolves by my meadow base(close to BF) are a huge source of eyes, resin, stone. Stuff is laying every where each day
2* wolves will be the way as you progress and raids/nights provide more dangers
Whatβs the best weapon in the game?
depends for what
wonder when the VCs will come back π
For against any enemy or at least most
Club is pretty decent as around the time damage types actually start mattering, the clubs at that tier are excellent. IE around swamp time blunt force will get you through them, silver you get frostner which is frankly great all the way through.
clubs and swords i would say @glass parrot
However I like the atgeir as the special attack is excellent for handling large hordes of enemies.
Alright is the atgeir harder to use than clubs and swords?
Yes as it uses more stamina, and it's not as good at blocking as a shield+weapon.
On the other hand once you master the trick of using the special attack, it's pretty overpowered.
are you a new player?
Yeah first playthrough
Special attack hits everyone in a circle and staggers them. The trick is to not immediately spam it again for that staggered bonus, but instead just pace yourself with your attacks to keep them at bay forever.
then i would really suggest to start with club/sword/axe+round shield, i would say thats kinda the optimal stuff for new players π
Agreed.
3rd boss is a pain
Alright
yeah, i had problem with him on first playthrough too π
Regardless of what item you're maining, bonemass pretty much requires you make a mace.
its the best weapon for him π
thanks! (if anyone would like to help i would GREATLY appreciate it) π
Imma use arrows
ooooof, gonna take long π unles you use frost and even then
That would have to be the most painful way I can imagine to do it.
Short of fists or full-pacifism.
Iβve only done it arrows besides one time I did melee
But that was a few updates ago apparently itβs a lot harder to use bows
I only did the melee on this version with friends and he died like instantly so idk what heβll be like solo
Iβm excited to fight him on very hard though and for that I donβt care how long arrows take Iβm hiding
It's challenging solo at normal and above
Bring lots, then.
donΒ΄t take longer than hour π
It is important to note that enemy health scales with number of players online. Not sure if damage does too.
What happens after an hour?
Nighttime
Pfft Iβll be in the trees and wraiths are pansies
Night time happens twice in a hour.
But then again I havenβt fought a wraith on very hard hmmm
enemies regen 100% of health per hour (at least on normal π )
"wraiths are pansies" says the dude hiding in a tree with his arrows.
Doesnβt help Iβm also on hardcore so Iβm an extra pansy
Iβm trying not to lose all of my gear anymore bear with me π Iβm not good at the game
But knowing the fight is a big difference too. When to parry and dodge roll makes the difference
Wraiths can be pansies while Iβm also a pansy
Wait until a fresh day and kick it off
The real question is will I find bonemass first on my tileman run or my max slider run
Either way Iβll be a pansy in the trees more than likely
Just get on the skull if you're cheesing lol
anyway i am going to bed, good night an good luck yall π
Sleep well o7
I guess I could practice him on a normal world before attempting on very hard but eeehhhhh
It does
I was of the understanding that, scaling was player proximity. Not simply online
^
I don't know for certain on that score. I know that boss drops tend to scale based on who's online.
Within 100m.
true, like the wishbones i think?
but that doesn't have anything to do with the monsters power.
Good to know. I'm honestly jonesing to start a new vanilla playthrough, but I also prefer joining a valheim community with a new dedicated server. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a likely candidate in the servers-and-lfg thread.
You may want to look into starting up a server yourself and listing it in there for others! It's not too hard at all.
While I have hosted a dedicated server before, I've determined my laptop is not really capable of handling it consistently.
true
Had an idea for a nomad run as a group. Only utility building no home base.
If you have computer parts for a PC around, even though it may be old, it could likely be turned into a server to run a valheim dedicated, just a heads up
It doesn't cost too many resources, and it doesn't need something like a 4080 to run
it runs headless π
Unfortunately I don't really have the spare cash nor computer parts for that.
You may want to check out some of the well-known communities out there, in case they fit your needs. There is Comfy Valheim, Jotunnheim
They run some bigger servers and have a lot organized, not sure if they're listed here, especially with the recent debacle that screwed with the Discord
(they might just not have reposted yet or something)
That would be really cool tbh. I can see 5 people with carts traveling together
jotunheim looks pretty good, kevver, thanks for the heads up.
War of wolves has been a really nice community to me
Theyβve got different groups at different progressions though and do things like spawn iron piles so the map doesnβt run out which is nice but not everyoneβs cup of tea
So far, I leveled up my Knife skills to 10 just by butchering animals.
Seems there is, a good amount of great community servers out there
I think it works this way but I wanted to check in to make sure. Killing a boss is what can add the additional event when you kill it. Not the action of setting the trophy at the original spawn point, right?
Once you've killed the boss.
Copy, thank you!
Mounting the trophy gives you access to the Forsaken Power.
The trigger lies in the declaration upon slaying I'd imagine?
That's what I thought. That killing a boss adds that event to the random roll table that happens every 45-ish minutes.
Raid events right
correct
By butchering you mean killing them?
Do I get more resources for using a knife or something
The butchering knife is designed to kill tamed animals and cannot hurt enemies.
Oh I see
Can you attack as a lox while riding a lox
The one thing I donβt understand is how come, you never have any stamina to attack. Like you can only attack twice doing the combo and then youβre out of stamina for good like itβs crazy
You need different food. Higher level weapons use more stamina, you need to upgrade your meals as well as your gear
And make sure you always have 3 foods eaten
Will mods be able to revive #builds channels ?
No. Just stop directing them and they'll attack on their own.
While I agree with the follow-ups on the importance of good food and managing your stamina, it is a little goofy that this viking warrior who was considered the cream of the crop in Valhalla can run for maybe 10 seconds before getting winded, and will drown if trying to swim across anything larger than a puddle.
so, I may need to move my base closer to better swamp land, is it easier just to farm new mats in a new location or to keep going back and forth to get the stuff from my old base?
Well if you're only in bronze age than it would be easier to farm new materials, I would just concentrate on bringing ore.
Iron*
Most of the stuff can be teleported
Sorry, metals*. If you're already in the iron age it sounds like more trouble than it's worth, honestly.
And thr longship can fit 18 stacks in the hull
not sure if I have the long ship or not
Iβm trying to build beams below where my roof is going to be but it keeps getting destroyed whenever I place
Longship needs iron and a wood type from swamp
Personally i always make a central base then teleport and sail sruff back home
One swamp isnt gonna be anywhere close to enough iron
If you're trying to attach to the underside and then quickly build down to the ground, that can be difficult. Better to build up from the ground below.
Iβm supposed to build up?
Basically a building piece's structural integrity is based on how many building pieces separate it from the ground. You can see how stable the building piece is with the hammer equipped; blue is attached to the ground, then it goes from bright green to red. Past red the building is too far from the ground and breaks.
So if you've built, say walls and then roof pieces to the point where they're red, and you're trying to add support to the roof pieces, placing beams attached to said roof pieces will break since they're so far from the ground. You'll want to start from the ground and then build up until they intersect with the roof piece you're trying to reinforce.
Log poles made from core wood (a type of wood you get from pine trees in the black forest biomes) are great for structural supports since they're the largest, meaning less build pieces to get from the ground to where you're supporting.
Oh okay thank you
wait so would log beams be as effective as the iron supported beams when building higher up ?
yes, and use iron to reinforce
No. Iron loses stability slower than anything else
Iron can go 50 meters from the ground
only took forever, but I am off!
out in the deep blue
OH MY GOD, I AM AN IDIOT
I forgot my bees...
Nothing's better than a tree, though. Well, except maybe a tree on dirt wall
can we build makeshift docks?
you can build most anything you want π
having an issue w downloading

Issues with modded games should go in #mods-issues, the main channels are strictly for vanilla Valheim.
just logged into discord for first time in 3 days, I take it the server got unfricked?
Mostly
epic
I miss the seeds channel π«€
It's under construction atm, no worries~
what was the new update
Yeeeeeeeah I know
Donβt want to if can help it π
Just wish we had more cultist raids so we can kill them π₯
I feel the pain, just discovered those festering skeletons from tombs only show up in raids after killing the fifth*? boss and I'm not grinding out tombs for a head lol
their trophy makes a great light source
Does anyone know the space a windmill needs around it to be "unobstructed" for example a 10x10 meter square?
perhaps just no trees or large rocks. ive placed them up against stone walls and been fine
Okay cool, I've got them in what feels to be an open area but the wind is just not blowing I suppose
put ||barley|| in it
Oh I did haha, I am in the process of moving bases from one world to another and just shoved my windmills on my island meadows base
tragically I'm gonna have to wait while each of them grinds out a full stack of barley at like (and I'm not joking here), 1 per minute
they take a bit for sure.
I hear plains has the most wind so once I get there/ a portal set up they'll be back to full speed. My last base was in the meadows and was processing barley at a rate of like 4-8 per minute it feels like, so I am surprised how slow it's going, but they are barely catching any wind compared to my last base. I'm not sure if it's simply the location of like "shallows" around the maedows or being surrounded by all sides on water, or simply a bad day but I have yet to see them performe this poorly, thanks for the response though.
whats the highest comfort level
16 before holiday items, 18 after I think? The wiki has a page on it
okay so 14 is considerabley good then, right ?
21min rest buff?
i accidentally broke me yuletide tree and didnt get the blueprint
yeah 21 minutes btw
Yes. 2 for being sheltered near a fire, 1 for a rug, 2 for a round table/log heavy table, 1 for a banner, 2 for a hearth (fire), 3 for a throne, 2 for a dragon bed, 2 for a hot tub, 1 for an armor stand, 1 for a may pole, and 1 for a yule tree.
no print for yule just seasonal unlock
i think i broke it after the seasonal thing so i didnt get it as a recipie
yea. can be done in debug
okay i see
do they have stuff for other holidays besides halloween and christmas ?
im not sure honestly
How far in the world are you?
plains
sent you a dm
Hello I'm a Xbox player looking for anyone with modded gear they are willing to give/dupe for/trade me. Feel free to dm me
Ashland, haven't out yet.
Hey looking to play with a few people if I can please.
The #1024264966712340510 channel has servers you can look through and decide to join π
Summer, you can build maypoles
how do i get to check the version of my map again?
Hey
even though I am playing on easy, it's still complicated to build a new base, lots of work
is tehre a way to switch wood used to build a house?
damn the snow biome is bright when its snowing
Try turning off bloom if you have it on!
well that helped, ima just leave it on xD i want the full immersion with the snow blindness LMAO
Can you show a screenshot?
it stopped didnt get a chance to screenshot it
looked like a snow blizzard
or maybe it was
Mornin Gjall π
it is very calming indeed π (until you run into snek XD)
I pray that Odin sends forth a favorable wind
just stay close to coast and no snek
and if have to cross the ocean, try make it as brief as possible
i just avoid night time and travel by day xD
think it's about time I return back to Valheim, but have to wonder how soon next big update would be
I'd prefer starting fresh when a big one hits
same, my current run had 3 elder altars all of them are almost at the end of thr map π
that's just pain...
can't help but checking out seeds before selecting one and actually playing, mostly because I want to make sure there is a location I would like for building the main base.
Requirements for that would be along the lines of no multiple biomes visible from base
and that it's in plains
plains seems to be the best, can plant crops too, unlike the mountain biome love the scenery but seeds dont seem to grow
yea. And blizzards in mountains... not sure if they are still a problem like they were some year or 2 ago, causing massive drop in performance
imagine making a mainbase in mistlands π . the blizzard just happened looks pretty and bright doesnt seem to cause my potato laptop some issues they mightve fixed it already
the only thing about plains that is frustrating are the skeeters. I had built a really nice and well protected base I ensured was protected from enemies spawning within my camp... but that doesn't stop those flying assholes from finding their way in and randomly skewer my ass
spawnproofing time it is then π
btw, how does everyone like doing portal network? I usually just find a small island in the middle of ocean, then widen it and build the portal hub on top of it. no way for enemies to bother me there
i just make portals leaning on walls of my house π
I originally built a portal tower with multiple floors but I eventually ran out of space... so I got that portal hub idea from that
A portal room connected to the storage room thats what i do im too lazy to walk around just to place random mats
i also made them on my house just for convinience π
I'd do that too, but I usually end up with quite many portals connected to different locations
in my main world i just have 1 portal to my main base and just rewrite the portal name to the other portals
the most i ever really needed was 12 portals i think
make taht 3 other 2 for emergencies xD
i just name it in the map, its pretty useful if youre lazy π
Portal hub under elder altar
I still do keep a few portals in the main base that do not go to the hub, such as portal for adventuring. I always setup a portal if I land my ship somewhere so I can return quickly if I die
same i do that aswell just to make sure i survive π
nothing more frustrating than doing a long voyage of shame to retrieve your gear π
if only it wasnt like almost at the edge of the map
All of them?
one time I didn't even have a second ship ready... so had to grind materials for 2nd ship to go and rescue the first ship and my gear
all 3 are almost at the edge of the map
Anyway, i usually just make a portal house in base, then have a few essential portals in resting house
there should be 4 iirc
Yeah but vegvisirs show the closest one always
could you maybe share the seed?
but I've learned from my mistakes... these days I always have 2nd backup gear set ready to retrive my stuff. Died a few times in a bad spot where the enemies just refused to stop camping my gear and they were numerous and strong.
so eventually decided that I'd better just have gear ready to fight my way to my gear
I remember one of my biggest woopsies ive had was fighting moder
did you fall of the edge? π
She chased me a bit, then landed next to the hut with my portal
Then ice beamed the portal lol
β οΈ
I managed to kill her tho
would have been hilarious if also died after portal got destroyed
dunno where the last one is. bet its almost at the edge aswell, seed is azx9rTWVdz
oh, i see it, closest one is around 5200 meters from spawn π₯²
that is one unlucky seed lol
it has some interesting ocean generation π there are not any BIG oceans really, looks almos like really big rivers π i like it
welp gotta love the challenge, but the plains made me feel paranoid, me who only had bronze gear
but lets not talk about it too much so we dont spoil π
yeah
Island shapes arent randomly generated
π to the left i see im, making a u turn and going to the other side of the world
i never really looked into world generation, sorry if i said some nonsense XD
Nah its fine lol. I just meant that your seed cuts out a circle out of a premade map, then slaps a biome map and a river map over it, then randomizes spawns
oooooh, good to know thanks π
so it seems that going to the swamp where I summoned bonemass keeps Bonemass around, I may have to go to another island to avoid it
or maybe run in, get to a cave to mine some iron, and run out
accidentally summoned it huh xD
would prefer a mix or rivers and larger oceans
would make the world look a bit more diverse
would be nice if there were some options for world generation, like larger biomes + larger bodies of water
love it when my longship surfs a bigass storm wave lol
Yo I just found a greydwarf in the meadows, is that normal?
These bots were made for walking~
Also if youve killed eikthyr theyll spawn in meadows at night
Oh ok
You and me, the typo bros
I love sailing in storms, it's so well made it is almost silly. The sound, the spray, boat getting tossed this way and that, absolutely love it! Until a damn serpent sees a chance for payback. Bloody fell off the ship once while trying to shoot a serpent in full storm...
I have an idea, how to add in hard mode that after u got killed, humanise mob could wear your armour and weapon, so u should killed him to get it back

Is it possible to summon a boss again if it is already active? I vaguely remember someone telling they spawned Moder, got their arses whooped, and when they came back she was gone. So they spawned her again and started fighting - and the first one showed up and joined the fray. So that mountain ended up having two angry Moders patrolling it... I dunno if it is even possible still?
hi
How do I unlock carts?
Bronze nails
Zamn
10 bronze nails, 20 wood
Bosses dont despawn, though they might wander a bit
But you can resummon at different locations or after killing
Would it be a good idea to build a house under an oak tree?
But not at the same altar (while still alive) I take it? So that anectdote was either false or a bug?
depends, are you using it as a feature?
Feature?
like what benefit are you getting from building it under a tree
Aesthetics
is it going to be supporting your structure
or this
Trees work as foundations, so it is a good way to build tall. But a troll raid could easily spell utter doom
i mean you can
but yeah that tree gets felled by something and your house gets flattened
Like 100% flattened? π
probably not 100%
Anything depending on the tree for support will fall
It won't depend on the tree
Then all that will happen is the log causing some damage, that is minor
depends how the tree falls
I think you can summon two at the same time
I can't decide where to build my base
I'm next to a nice pond, but the sorrounding area is kinda lame
I am tempted to do that on my world then, just for fun. Get two moders spawned and leave, next time someone climbs that mountain they're in for a surprise...
