There are usually 2 trinkets available per biome starting from black forest. They require specific trophies and usually some of that biome's metals to craft.

Any of the possible trinkets you could craft in your current state of progression would be better options than your current one. They are not necessary for progressing tho, but they can help with holding up on longer combats.

the map being a big circle isn't just stylish. there's a waterfall all around the edge and a strong wind that blows you off. You die and your gravestone just keeps falling
If you kick-in god mode you can survive but can't get back. it's all ocean bottom for as far as you can travel. Probably procedurally generated.

I have a vr only server mainly for people I know in RL. One of my friends loads stuff in single player all the time because he is really bad at the game. As a server admin I often delete all his stuff in his inventory and then join the game when hes gone to delete all his stored stuff. It became a fun game within a game. The second time we played I used server hacks to stop this cheating. I tricked him into installing them by saying it minimizes crashes, which it unexpectantly did.

Yup. You can skip the first boss completely.
Just have to grab a troll and have it break the copper and tin nodes for you.
...a bear can technically break tin nodes for you as well, but not copper.
And with the Early Axes, you can get finewood before having a bronze axe too. Or have a troll bust those up as well. Or roll logs into the birch trees a lot.
Edit: You can get a tiny amount of iron outside of the swamp dungeons, so you could technically skip bonemass too, without cheating by using a chair to clip past the gates.. but it's a terrible way to live.
You can skip Yag, but then you're blind in the Mistlands, and it feels absolutely terrible without a wisplight.

You do need Moder for the dragon tear to make pretty much everything later on though.

Moder is pretty much THE gateway boss. Without Moder you can forget about the endgame.

Everything before Moder is manageable without killing a single boss. The buck stops with Moder.

You can still dominate the Plains, as silver is not too hard to get, but without Moders tears you can forget about Mistlands, let alone Ashlands.

Oh my gosh, okay so I've made some progress! I built a little hut in the meadows and hunted deers, boars, greylings, and necks for supplies. Then I worked up the courage to fight Eikthyr and honestly I was so scared but I did it! After that I started exploring the black forest, which is super spooky. I mined some copper with help from a troll I found online, explored burial chambers for surtling cores, and built a smelter. That's about where I'm at now, haha.

A little tip, clear out and mark every putrid hole, they typically come with chest storage, I utilize this for any overflow I have, and will do a collection trip once I have a portal network established around the current Ashlands island I'm exploring.

I also build campfires to restore my rested status, and place bone stacks in them as well to collect later.
